Russ and his assistant arrived on time and went straight to wotk. He diagnised the problem right away, and had the replacenent part in huis truck. The entire visit was completed in about 20 minutes. He gave me an "Angis's List" discount and a "neighbor discount" (We only live a few blocks apart) The price waa very fair, and my washing machine is is working fine now. I would defenitely recommend Russ to anyone.

I found Russ on Angie's List and selected him above a friend's recommendation of another repair company and going back to the manufacturers for their recommended authorized repair shops. Based on previous experiences I have had where a company could send any tech out to your house - who may or may not know what they are doing and who may or may not be personally and properly licensed etc., my search was for someone who was a hands-on Mr. Fixit. I wanted someone who was reviewed for work done and who, when I made an appointment, would be the actual person to come out and do my repairs. Russ is that Mr. Fixit. He knows what he is doing - he has been doing it a long time. I get the sense that there is not much in the mechanical and appliance world that would stump him. He is extremely personable, polite, punctual and efficient in making repairs. He is also respectful of the things in your home while undertaking repairs. He communicates well and with the right frequency. Above all, he delivered what he promised. Very happy customer and I would use him again in a heart beat.

our 12 (14?) year old GE refrigerator has been making noises when it shuts off. We looked to get a new one then realize mfgrs do not make them this size any longer, and if we buy new we need to get something much smaller. So we call the company to see if the issue can be fixed We have no problem getting someone on the phone and set up an appointment (between 11 - 2PM) and Russ showed up at 1PM. He was courteous. After turning the frig. on and off to get an idea of the noise I heard, he'd determined that it was the compressor. He was honest and told me that it wasn't worth getting a new compressor, and alleviated my concern by telling me that the refrigerator should last a few more years. He made some adjustment to lower the noise, then give me a discount for being on Angie's List. I would definitely use them again should anything goes wrong with my appliances

The worst part was trying to connect with someone at the company's phone. Messages were not responded to. Once I finally reached someone, days later, making an appointment was simple and straightforward, and the minimum cost of the visit was made clear. Between the time the appointment was made and the actual scheduled service date, I had a third appliance issue, and I informed Russ's office of the expanded scope of the visit, which I was told would not be a problem. Russ showed up within the scheduled window, and he was professional and efficient. Parts were needed in the case of two out of the three appliances being repaired and, miraculously, he made a trip down to his truck where he actually had what was needed. The problems were quickly identified and repaired, and the results were demonstrated. I felt the cost was reasonable. A good warranty was provided on the parts and labor. I could not have been more satisfied. Great work inspiring confidence!

Very smooth. We had the 2 PM to 5PM window. He arrived at 3:30, went right to work, and was finished in less than an hour.

Asko dryer was stopping after shorter and shorter periods of time. Called to make an appointment - woman taking the call was very professional but relaxed - asked me for location, a detailed description of the problem. Clearly explained the fee - a base fee for a service call; if repair required more work, I'd be provided an estimate and I could apply the service call fee toward the full repair if I wanted to have the repairs done. I was told that Russ would be in my area (Brooklyn) next Thursday afternoon, between 2PM and 5PM. Got a call about 1:30 from Russ, that he'd be here in an hour. He was here just about 2:30. Really minor problem - the dryer had a second filter I never knew about and needed to be cleaned periodically (else the dryer overheats and stops). Russ washed out the filter, showed me how to change it (including opening up and replacing the dryer panel), and suggested how often I should check the filter and how often I will probably need to clean it. A gentleman, and a real find.

great! Russ showed up on time, and quickly went to work. He cleaned and then gave me advice on how to maintain the gas burners to avoid the clicking issue in the future. He also spent a fair amount of time (1 hour+) diagnosing the source of the leak for our Bosch dishwasher (the door frame was off). Russ was efficient, professional and very nice. I strongly recommend him, he solved our problems, and never once mentioned buying a new appliance. thanks for the previous references that led us to calling Russ.

Russ was running a little late, which is understandable. They called to inform me. He checked everything out, gave me an honest assessment, and the problem is solved.

He came within the time frame. He confirmed my guess that there was a blockage in the drainage tube. He removed the block and the machine was back in working order. The total price was quite reasonable after he accepted the coupon from Angie's List.

Appliance R Russ did a terrific job. The repairman called me and asked what troubles I was having with my dryer. He knew exactly what was wrong, and he even had the correct replacement part with him when he came. He repaired my dryer while we had a friendly and pleasant conversation. I can not recommend them highly enough.

My mom used them for her washer repair and had a good experience, so I called them when my stacked Whirlpool washer /dryer decided it was going to leak all over the floor. I was really hoping they could fix it because it would cost me about $1,500 to replace. They came on time (gave me a two hour window), were professional, and fast. They replaced a water pump and gave me a nice little (unexpected) discount because I was an Angie's List member. It was exactly what you want a service call to be...completely drama free.... they came, they repaired, and they went! Would definitely call them again if I was in need of a repair.

The first technician to visit was not aware that he was going to be working on a 20 year old Wolf pilot light stove but he did correctly diagnose that the trouble was with the thermocouple. He was unsure whether parts were available. I was able to find them on line and, after a shipping snafu caused by UPS, Russ came out and installed the unit.

After the tech looked at our washing machine , he indicated that it wouldn't be worth the repair. We appreciated his honesty. He also gave us a discount on the estimate fee since we were Angie list members.

Russ was great. He showed up on time. Diagnosed the problem as one that could be fixed with a more expensive parts replacement or a less expensive repair, and recommended the repair. It's been four months since, and everything is fine. Russ's fees seemed quite reasonable to us. Would definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.

Russ checked out the problem, and informed me that the repair needed on the machine would be costly and not worth doing it due to the age of the machine. I certainly felt comfortable with what he had told me. I would most certainly do business with him again in the future. Please rate this business as an "A" in all categories.

Appliance R Russ came to our home to repair our dryer. The motor was bad and needed replaced. The staff was very helpful and cleaned out the entire dryer which was not necessary but took the time to do it. He also taught us how to properly care for our dryer. He had the part with him, ready to fix immediately. The staff was very professional and prompt. We had a very positive experience with this company.

The igniter on our DCS stove continued to click even after the burners were lit. On Saturday, March 10, we left a message with Appliances "R" Russ, which is one of apparently very few companies that service DCS stoves. We received a return call at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 12, from a representative who scheduled an appointment for the following afternoon. On Tuesday morning, the repairman, Joe, called to inform us that he could arrive in the morning. This was probably the first time that a repair person has ever come to us ahead of schedule. He had brought the correct replacement part with him, so he was able to perform the repair in one visit. Joe was efficient and very pleasant to deal with. We would definitely call this company in the future for repairs to our stove, refrigerator, or dishwasher.

Could have been an expensive repair (water pump, extra labor, etc), but Russ found a blockage caused by a piece of porcelain from a chipped cup, tested the drain pump and other components, and was good to go. Responsive, accurate, and honest.

Russ is a top-notch professional. In describing the problem with the oven over the phone, he pretty much knew what was up before he arrived. He confirmed his assumption of the part that needed to be replaced, explained what it the part does and that it wears within 3 to 5. I asked him some questions about other appliances we are looking into replacing and he provided some honest practical advice from his perspective as both a homeowner and repairman. As a knob on the stove needed to be replaced, I asked him where I could pick one up and he offered to jot down the model number, get the part and drop by during the week to drop it off. I highly recommend his services.

We thought it was the timer because it was not draining right. He said someone was forcing the timer or dial, and that they were messing it up.
