D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating

I contacted D'Angelo's and had a morning appointment the next morning. I received a phone call 30 minutes prior to the arrival of their technician as is typical of D'Angelo's. The technician was one who had performed previous work and he was outstanding (thanks Ryan!). The removal of my existing dishwasher took a lot of time and effort as it was installed in a peculiar way. He even had to remove the water pump from the old dishwasher. He really went the extra mile on the removal AND the install.. Once the old dishwasher was removed, he took care of rewiring the power box, connected the water supply, replaced the drain hose and got it installed and mounted perfectly. He then conducted tests to ensure it would fill and drain properly. Once done he hauled away the old dishwasher and packing materials and left everything clean and tidy. I have to admit that at first I thought the fee charged was on the high end but after seeing the efforts he went through to take out the old dishwasher and the degree of professionalism of the installation, I feel that this was very well worth it. I really do suggest that you give D'Angelo's a try for anything related to heating and plumbing as they do a top quality job and I have never felt that I was getting "ripped off" and they do quality work which means peace of mind.

On time, best price, great clean up, pleasant workers, unit up and running in half a day. Would definitely use again.

Sean was professional and friendly; quickly assessed that it wasn't a clog associated with the laundry tub. Determined that it was an issue with the main drain going to the street; Sean quoted us a price and went out to his truck to get the equipment. BUT, here's the best part: before starting, Sean checked the sewer manhole in the street and found that the problem was with the entire neighborhood, but was only evident at our house because it is at the low end of the street! The neighborhood sewer system was backed up. Sean quickly called the town office numbers that he already had on hand in his phone (public works, etc) and finding no on-call dispatch or any response at all, called 911 on our behalf. He explained exactly what was going on and why, gave us advise on how to prepare the basement in the event it took a while for the response (everything off the floor) and wished us the best. We were charged for the service call. The county public works folks actually responded within about 20-30 minutes and within an hour they were working on the problem. And, the laundry tub never actually overflowed...whew! We really appreciated Sean's investigation of the problem, making the calls on our behalf and his general good nature, professionalism and quick thinking!

The appointment was scheduled for between 8-12. They called at 8:10 to tell me that the plumber (Ryan) was on his way. He arrived before 9am, looked at the cracked faucet pipe and told me it would cost $160 plus tax total to replace it. I said OK and by 10am the whole thing was complete. I wish all service calls went this well!

I shut off the water quickly so no damage was done. Called D'Angelo's and they agreed to send a tech that afternoon. Sean showed up right on time and got to work. I had decided to replace both hose bibs, and he used frost proof units. I was impressed that the hose bibs were high quality Woodford units. Both hose bibs were replaced and tested within an hour. Sean was very professional and skillful and did a great job. I was very happy with the work.

Work went well, But in November of 2015 we had a problem with the surface of the mirror flacking off. Also there is a yellow discoloration on the porcelain floor. We have a life time warranty. We called and someone came down and told us it was a faulty mirror and that the urethane grout was not properly cleaned off the tile. He told us they would order a mirror and send someone over to clean the film off the porcelain tile floor. We have heard nothing since then and they do not even return our phone calls. It is now June 2016. I am very disappointed, and have advised several people to avoid D'Angelo's Nice work, no follow through. There warranty is meaningless. Find someone else!

We got two estimates for this job. The other plumber couldn't provide us with even a ballpark idea of what the repairs would cost. The D'Angelo's plumber deduced what the problem was and provided an immediate accurate estimate. They showed up on time after calling us to let us know the plumber was on the way. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. There was no cleanup required when the job was finished and there was no problem with the plumbing after the job was finished. The plumber was courteous, friendly, and clearly explained what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost. I recommend D'Angelo's and would call them again. In fact, I did call them again for a sump pump replacement.

The total remodel of our bathroom went smoothly with fantastic results. A glass surround shower replaced an old tub, with pedestal sink added, ceramic tile laid, vent installed, room painted, and door replaced. Dennis was a great help again. He worked with us last year in designing and organizing our kitchen update, which also had excellent results. Eric was the hands on expert, taking care with every step and consulting with us to make sure all was as we wanted. Joe too was competent and efficient and did a great job with adding a range hood above stove and incorporating new subway tile with existing ones. Glad we could get all the details and a few upgrades included for the look we desired. Overall, we could not be more pleased and would recommend D'Angelos definitely.

Everything was fantastic. I called around 7:15 a.m. and even though they weren't technically open yet, I talked to three people within the hour to let me know when to expect the technician and to make sure we had the leak under control. They offered to send someone immediately, but because we were able to control the leak, we didn't need the off-hours service. But the offer was very much appreciated! The repair went very well. The tech was professional, friendly, explained everything, no surprises. He walked me through what had happened and what he needed to do to repair it, and we also talked through the options. I would highly recommend this company!

Work could not have gone more smoothly. Dennis was helpful throughout the process, knowledgeable about design and products, focused on insuring the job went as we wanted. Everything went according to schedule, including coordination with countertop provider and plumber. The installer of subway tile was meticulous, resulting in a clean new look, just as we had hoped. Because of this great experience, we are about to have D'Angelo's remodel a bathroom.

I had three toilets to install and I contacted D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating to install them based upon great past interactions. I scheduled the installation and was contacted about 30 minutes before the technician's arrival. The service technician arrived on-time and was once again very courteous and professional in his conduct. He got to work on removing the old toilet and then installing each new toilet. I was very pleased with the work performed and will continue to use this company for all of my plumbing and heating needs. One toilet had a slight rocking motion forward when sat upon and so I contacted D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating to request a follow-up. They dispatched a service technician who arrived on-time to correct the problem. There was no charge for this and it involved adding a few shims and caulking to help secure the toilet. A great job once again!

I had contacted D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating to obtain a quote for installing 4 toilets. I was not yet decided on a make / model of toilet and so they provided me a per toilet cost with their recommended toilet and also provided me with a quote for the install alone (where I supply the toilet). I particularly liked this aspect as I felt no pressure to purchase through them. (in fact this was a major factor in my chasing to go with them for the install). In the end, I opted to purchase the toilets on my own and contacted D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating to install one toilet. This would allow me to test the toilet before committing to all four toilets and also see how the service is. The service technician showed up promptly, introduced himself and started working. He was very polite and professional and did a great job. He removed the old toilet, installed the new one and hauled away the old toilet and boxes from the new toilet for disposal. I found the price to be great (I receive a discount on all services as I signed up for a life-time AC / furnace cleaning plan which I highly recommend). The technician showed up on-time and conducted himself exceptionally well. Above all, I was left with a great feeling of confidence without worry about the service I received. I used D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating to install the remaining three toilets based upon this experience.

They attended to a plumbing emergency (burst kitchen faucet line) with prompt efficiency. Not only did they replace an old kitchen faucet but installed water shutoffs and did it with no fuss, no muss. Considering the suddenness of the situation, their response was greatly appreciated.

I looked up plumbers on Angie's List as I wanted to get some toilets replaced and also had a leaking furnace humidifier. I saw the great reviews about D'Angelo's and gave them a call. I obtained a quote over the phone for the toilets and a technician was sent to my house to examine the humidifier. I was told by a different company that I would probably have to replace the humidifier and was curious to hear how much it would be. The technician saw the problem and said he could repair it by replacing the part. He also serviced the screen which the water pours over to evaporate. I now have a fully functioning humidifier all on the same day as my call was placed. The technician was very courteous and didn't push any additional services on me (without my asking). He gave me some additional advice around the unit as well which was appreciated. I asked about getting the entire system (our system is a heat pump) as we wanted to get this done. He offered the option of their lifetime maintenance plan which was a great option to consider as it saved me money for the call that he came out for and saves on future visits (to replace my toilets for example) and efforts. I found their prices to be quite reasonable and I am pleased with my decision to use them.

We had them twice. They are a bit expensive.

I called for a service call early Monday morning from a cold house. We were suspicious our elderly system had given up the ghost. It had indeed. Since our AC was of similar vintage we opted to install both at the same time, along with humidifier and clean air system. The entire system was installed and functional before the end of day. Courteous, amazingly fast and excellent to work with. Highly recommend.

I called D'Angelo's and they had a technician on site within 30 minutes. Sean looked over the problems, gave us an estimate and when right to work. He was professional and communicative through the whole process. After replacing the fixtures in the shower, he went to work on the slow drain problem. After snaking both the drain and the vent, both sinks drain beautifully now. Throughout the process, he kept his work area and the house neat, showing he cared. I would hire D'Angelo and especially Sean again!

I had a AO Smith ProMax 40gal. hot water heater fail and had a new heater installed on Sunday 11/29/15. The mechanic, Carson, was very professional and did an excellent job. However, my concern was that I learned after the new heater was installed that it only had a 6 yr. warranty vs. the 10 yr. that my old A.O.Smith tank had. I checked online and learned that AO Smith does make a 10 warranty ProMax tank (XCR-40) and two Energy Star rated tanks (GCF-40 and GCFL40) that are eligible for rebates. I realize that Carson is a mechanic and not a salesperson, but I would have found it helpful to have a discussion of the options of tanks, prices, warranties and Energy Star Ratings prior to the delivery and installation. I sent an email to D'Angelo with these concerns but never received a response.

The first guy that came to the house was not only late but turned out to cost me $96.12 to only order the wrong part. The first trip of three to our house could have been a savings of $96.12 if only they would have sent Tim in the first place. The second trip Tim was great and explained our entire system and showed us the correct part needed/how it works. Apologized for the first guys trip but I was still a little taken back but the first guy ordering the wrong part and charging me $96.12. The first guy was also at our house for about five minutes total. Tim cleaned the system while there and I didn?t feel bad about the second trip costing $96.12 as there was actual service provided. However, there service is still better than Empire. Tim on the third trip installed the correct limit part, the new Nest thermostat that we purchased from Lowes and fixed the dehumidifier that we thought would never work. So overall lessen here is to make sure to request Tim when scheduling the cleaning next year, as to make sure the first trip isn?t a waste of $96.12. I don?t mind paying for good service and in the end we feel that is what we received on the second and final trip.

Never got the work done just keep forgetting to set up a date. I didnt have the work done and would a FULL REFUND ASAP

This was a complete gut and replace, right down to the studs. Not only did they do a great job, but they fixed a number of issues the original builder had done incorrectly. We couldn't be happier with the work that was done. Yes, It took two weeks to finish, but the result is outstanding. From Dennis, the designer, to Eric and Joe, the installers, everything was done with great attention to detail. They were very clean, too, laying down tarps and runners all through the house, and cleaning up every day before they went home. They went the extra mile to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction.

The technician arrived within the time that I was given. He took his time to diagnose the problem and then explained three options as well as the cost involved. Based on the choice presented, I chose replacement of the barrel drain. He worked for almost 2 1/2 hours to replace the barrel drain. He explained that there would be an extra fee sue to difficult access. Upon completion he ran the water several time to check the drain flow and tightened and further sealed some joints. The water is now flowing much better!

D'Angelo's were very responsive. I called early in the morning and they were able to come at the time I requested. During the call I also asked if I should turn the water off since I was not going to be home during the day. I was connected to a plumber who answered my question. At the time they were to arrive, I received a call letting me know they were running late and what time to expect them. The plumber arrived at the expected time, he was friendly, efficient and performed just what needed to be done. He also made recommendations on a couple of items (not plumbing related) that he noticed that needed attention and described exactly what I would need to do to complete that work.. I felt the cost was reasonable and will definitely use this company again and recommend to friends.

D'Angelo's installed a new sump pump. They were happy to use a pump I had already purchased, and they added a siphon back-up system as well. They ran a new set of discharge pipes (one for primary and one for back-up), which included running an underground (outdoor) line.

I had four estimates done, three of them on-site. Gerry was the most professional, taking his time to look over my existing setup and especially in deciding and explaining where the new heater should be sited based on building code requirements. After his visit I had some follow-up questions which I sent by e-mail, and Gerry responded promptly. Because of that and the quality of the unit he recommended, I went with D'Angelos even though the estimate was a few hundred dollars higher than the two other estimates I received for tankless heaters. On the day of the job, Gerry showed up exactly on time, followed shortly by a 2-man crew. Gerry left after getting them set; I was just there for the first 15 minutes or so to see if they needed anything from me. The job took about 6.5 hours; Gerry had estimated completion by 3:30 or 4:00, and they left about 3:40 after showing me the installed heater and explaining its operation. They left my basement as they found it, despite having to de-install my 2 existing heaters and carry them about 30 feet over a carpeted basement floor. They also stubbed the propane, water, and vent connections for the old heaters neatly. Overall, very responsive, professional, and dependable. The new heater takes some getting used to because it inherently behaves differently than our tank models did, but is working very well and we're happy with it, especially the much greater efficiency, the room we gained in the basement, and no more worry about the heater flooding the basement. The price was high but part of that was the heater, and for me part was knowing that you get what you pay for, and I especially did not want to risk trading price for quality where my home's hot water supply is concerned. I would definitely recommend D'Angelo's and would use them again myself - in fact, I plan on having them add a recirculation line this fall to decrease the time for hot water to reach our upstairs bathrooms when cold weather comes.
