D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating

We are always happy with D'Angelo's. We've been working with them for years. I think there were two people here and it took maybe four hours for the work. They came out and explained how to use it when we didn't understand and it re explained it. They're the best company to use. They don't charge for little things. They come out and service our unit for free because we've used them so long. They generally send the same person for the work.

They were having some trouble getting the correct parts, but through it all everyone was very nice and professional. Kept me informed on any delays. I would hire them again.

They did a great job with the toilet repair & floor under it.

They are fine, based on all the overall and sub-categories. I think they do a good job. I don't know them that well, but I've had sump pumps put in and various things. They are good. I use them the majority of the time when I have plumbing issues.

Nick was very prompt in coming out. He attempted for some time to snake the sewage pipe, without luck (cost about $319). He recommended putting the camera into the pipe (about $119), and though he would not be able to turn it on because it doesn't work in water, he could push it in as far as possible, then use another machine above ground that would locate where the camera was, and presumably the blockage. Nick was having difficulty locating the camera and called Sean to come help. After some time, Sean stated that he located the camera to be under the sidewalk in front of my neighbor's house, and while it was the town's responsibility to clear the blockage, they would not come out unless we had a clean-out valve without a certain distance of the area the town is responsible for. Sean stated installing this valve would involve excavating a 6' hole in my neighbors yard (about $4400). Not knowing what else to do, I scheduled the work to be done two days from then, which was the soonest Sean could do it. As a side note, after they left for the day, I found that one of them had discarded of their rubber gloves in the street. I took the opportunity the next morning to call the town. It turns out they have an on-call service where they will come out and into your basement if your sewage pipe is backed up and attempt to clear the blockage. Two plumbers from the town came out within about 30 minutes of me calling them, and within 15 minutes of arriving, snaked the sewage pipe and cleared the blockage. He then ran a camera through to show me that everything was clear and than my pipes were in good condition. I told him what Sean had said about me having to dig outside to install the clean-out valve and he said that was incorrect, if anyone would be required to dig, it would be the town. I called D'Angelo's to cancel the dig and the supervisor sounded very surprised by the town coming out and fixing the problem. At that point he charged me about $450 for attempting to snake the pipe and run the camera. After, taking a few days to calm down from the ordeal, I called back and spoke to the supervisor again and expressed my dissatisfaction with being given false information and also still having to pay for work that did not fix my problem, when then town did the exact same thing and was able to fix the problem within 15 minutes. He agreed it was odd that the town could fix the problem when his plumbers could not, apologized for the stress that was caused by being given the wrong information, and agreed to refund me the $450. I understand that not all towns offer the same level of customer service that mine does and that plumbers cannot be expected to know what services each town offers/what their rules are, but they should take the time to contact the town they are working in to find out or advise the customer to do so, before stating, with certainty, that a $4000+ plumbing job is required when, in fact, it is not. My advice to anyone having issues with sewage backups is to contact your city/town first before contacting/paying for a plumber to come out.

Long story short, my kitchen sink backed up to to laundry tub (ranch home), everything else was fine. Nick first came out and did a lot of preliminary assessments of the issue. He was unable to perform the completion due to equipment failure. Next day Ryan came out to complete the issues. Ryan was great! He actually installed a fail safe devise to assist if further issues occurred. Both men were professional and respectful. I like D'angelos and they appear to being a caring company. I do feel the prices are a bit on the high end so the questions lay.....each emergency is deemed an emergency and to what price. I will say the quality of the work performed was very good. I wouldn't question the integrity of this company.

I called D'Angelos at 5 am because the line to my refrigerator ice maker was leaking all over my basement carpet. They were at my door by 6:15. The plumber was unable to do the repair at that time but put a shut off valve on the line in order to stop the leak. I rescheduled for an appointment to replace the line later that month. The line is now fixed and has a permanent shut off valve should the issue reoccur.

It went great! no high pressure sales like other places, exactly what was needed. polite, punctual and professional staff all the way around

Fine, the work was done and all is well. Second time we called these plumbers....we are very happy with their work.

Chose this contractor based on Angie's List recommendation. New to this area so had no experience with service contractors. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED with this company. If there is someone better servicing the Rochester area, if like a name!

They do plumbing and heating also, and remodeling like kitchens. The guy we had, I would recommend. I can't even remember his name now. He was awesome. The guy who did the estimate was awesome. After he came to inspect it, the guy who came to inspect. He forgot, and I asked what I should clean it with. He forgot to bring the cleaner, and to stop by to get the complimentary cleaner. I forgot to stop by, and a week later, the cleaner was on my front step. He went above and beyond. The guy who did the work, was so nice and polite. He could not have been any nicer, he was wonderful. I would definitely use D'Angelo's again. We got a few estimates, and that was the best price. We had our bathroom stucco a long time ago,it was painted. Above where they took the tub enclosure out, above the old tile, had been stucco. They don't really do the stucco, and we could get someone to paint it, and could re stucco up there. The guy ended up doing it for us.The guy said he knew how to do it, and did it right there. When you paint, you just have to prime it, and then paint it. He stucco over the drywall for nothing. That was awesome.

WONDERFUL I couldn't recommend this company enough!!! Shawn was polite, knowledgeable, and so professional. Called around one o'clock, told them no hurry, yet they where at my house around 2:45, and that was even after a call to say he was on his way. They where so good , now having them look at a new shower stall, and feel very confident in there ability. Thank D'angelo's for a great job!!!!!! Look forward to doing business with you again. Nancy

The Installers were very knowledgeable and polite. They kept the area neat and clean. When they left everything was neat and clean.Signed up for Lifetime Service Agreement.

Very well. They were on time and finished the job quickly.

I was really impressed. The technician was very quick and very through. He tried to not to disturb my dog and so, he was able to bring the gas pipes in through my basement dryer vent/dryer opening. He fixed the hose of the dryer vent and re-taped it because I had put it together and I didn't do a good job. So, he fixed that while he was at it. He was just really really good. I was very impressed. He was very good, it was one guy. I thought that they were just very impressive. It is the second time I have used them. I am really impressed with how professional they are.

Terry was extremely fast to respond for our estimate, and was very thorough in his estimate. While we decided not to go through with the job at this time, I won't hesitate to contact them again for my next HVAC/Plumbing job. Their professionalism and speed of service speaks volumes.

They sad it would take 4 hours to do the job and it did. They were very friendly and courteous to me. They cleaned every thing up when they were done. Went over all the new connections and I also got my 5% discount from angieslist coupon. They did a fantastic job it looks great.

The plumber did everything as minimally evasive as possible. Isolated the issue to a loose tile after exhaustively testing and checking all plumbing.

It went better than expected and I was expecting the best--based on all I'd heard and read about this company. Matthew Stacy, the plumbing technician, was so polite, so knowledgeable, so respectful that--were he not forty years my junior--I probably would have proposed to him! He was here promptly, answered every question, provided helpful information, and even checked a few things that were not part of my initial request. All in all, I would recommend this company highly.

They did a good job, were here right away, and are reasonably priced.

Shawn (Sean?) was outstanding! Great attitude, showed up on time, worked really fast, and did I say he has a great attitude? Super nice guy, quality work, price was very reasonable -- and lower than I expected, actually. Would definitely call you guys again when the time comes. Great job!!!
