Nick deRosa and Jim were extremely courteous and professional. I had an extra window put into a wall next to an existing window. Nick and Jim had to cut through brick and concrete to make the new opening for the window. They did that in less than one day. They used drop cloths to protect my flooring and cleaned up after the job, including hosing down the deck. A lot of care was taken to insulate around the window properly during installation. In particular, Nick managed to match the trim around the new window both inside and out to match the existing adjacent window. I was very impressed with the attention to every last detail at all stages of the job. The cost was reasonable for the area. I would highly recommend Nick deRosa and Pristine East End Contracting and will most definetly be using their services in the future.
Description of Work: Cut out opening in brick/cement wall and installed new 32"x62" window. Oak framing and trim done to match other window in wall.

Job started after Nick finished another job. He and his helper Matthew were on time and efficiently and quickly brought in materials and equipment. At the end of the day all insulation was done. The work proceeded quickly each day. At the end of 2 weeks ( the time that was promised) all the work was done. Nick even installed a wooden ledge surrounding the room. My only complaint was that the shelving in laundry room wasn't primed or painted and although all the trim was painted, flat paint was used and none of the doors were painted although that wasn't in the contract. When Nick was called about it, he promised to come on a weekend and do the painting. I have no complaints about Nick ( the owner) or. Matt. They were friendly, respectful, experienced and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
Description of Work: After a major flood in two levels, called Nick at East End Contracting. He responded that evening and the estimate was done and forwarded to me within 36 hours. Work included replacing insulation, walls, ceilings, painting, flooring, remove and replace step, rebuild cabinet in laundry room, crown molding, replace radiator base covers, base molding, rehang sliding closet doors, repair exterior door, paneled laundry room, repair bathroom ceiling( not in contract)

We had a great experience working with Nick and his crew. They were professional, punctual and always kept an open line of communication. Nick was very responsive to any concerns I had and I had no trouble reaching him when needed. Above all, they were very clean! They cleaned up each night before they left so I didn't have to worry about cleaning up when I got home from work (which is much appreciated at almost 7 months pregnant!). In addition, Nick's estimated completion date for each room was spot on... he allotted 5 days for each room and completed the work on time (even working late some nights to ensure they finish on time). We also appreciated that Nick was on-site throughout the entirety of the job, performing the work with his crew, and only takes on one job at a time (so we didn't have to worry about any missed days due to juggling projects and poor time management). We look forward to working with Pristine in the future and would absolutely recommend them for any projects you may have.
Description of Work: Gutted and renovated an office and bedroom. Installed new insulation, sheetrock, moulding, windows, doors, heating elements, wiring for high hats, painted, etc.

This job couldn't have gone smoother ! I've worked with many contractors over the years and none compared to the servce that I received from Nick. It was a pleasure to deal with Nick and his workers. He was easy to communicate with, meaning we were always on the same page, with his concerns mirroring mine at all times. He communicated every change to the job as the job went and always discussed my options with me clearly, again keeping in mind my final goal for the basement. Ni.ck and his team were professional and hard working. The job was done on time and the craftmanship was excellent. I would definitely use them again and already have some jobs lined up. I would recommend them to all my friends and relatives !

I have had solar panels installed in the past, geothermal installed, and even a roof installed from contractors; I have had a lot of experience with contractors. Now it's time to do our bathroom. I called seven contractors that varied in priced and their summaries from them, varying from 7-35 years. Nick from Pristine East End Contracting had a good track record and he had a great report with the Better Business Bureau, in which what stood out with this contractor is that he is a family owned business of 10 years, he is doing the job himself with helpers like Matt. He states that he works with the customer's best interest in mind; this is his top priority. This is what sold me to hire him to remodel my bathroom. I hired him to do the bathroom. He ripped out everything in the bathroom; sheet rock down to the studs, bagged everything and put it in the front of the house, and there was no mess, which I found unbelievable! This bathroom had to be done in seven days. We only have one bathroom and my wife and daughter were staying in a hotel. Nick ran all of the PEX lines to replace all copper. There was a replacement window that needed to be placed in the bathtub. All of the other contractors wanted to do their own framing of that window on the outside of the house, which would be different that the rest of our windows. Nick from Pristine East End Contracting, told me that he could exactly what I wanted and how I wanted, and he did! He truly did work with the customers' best interest. That window was his first challenge. Then the insulation was installed, the tub was installed, the cement board went up, and then the green board went up. He also installed the ceramic tile up to the ceiling and around the tub, speckled the green board and painted, put the door frame in, grouted the ceramic tile, then he skim coated the floor for sheet vinyl to be installed, he put the black marble in and painted the walls and the door, then he sealed the grout, and then installed the toilet, cabinet, and finally the sink. Nick and Matt from Pristine East End Contracting gave me the highest quality of craftsmanship I have ever seen. I have had solar panels, geothermal, roofing, sheds installed. Nick and his company, and his work; he truly lives up to his work. His pricing was very fair; he wasn't the highest nor the lowest, but it was the best bang for my buck! I believe that I got more than what I paid! I can't believe how clean he kept the area and my home. I am a 67 year old senior and I have been around for a while and he is the "Best of the Best!" Nick has golden hands!

Nick from Pristine East End Contractors is great!!! Estimate was accurate. Time estimate was spot on also, he slated the job for 8 days and he was there for 8 days. Some evenings he was there quite late because he wanted to finish a particular phase. He cleaned up each evening before he left and laid covers on the hard wood floors so as not to scratch them. It was obvious that Nick sincerely cared that my wife and I were pleased with the final product. He went out of his way to explain each phase of the project and gave us choices when they were available. There really was not any time that we felt Nick wanted to be finished in order to get to the next job. He certainly made us feel that our project was the most important thing that he could have been doing at that moment. We are presently waiting on a custom vanity top and sinks and would have paid Nick the full price knowing full well he'd be back to hook up the sinks, but he insisted on not taking the final $350.00 so we would feel comfortable that he would return. Even without the coutertops the bathroom looks fabulous. If I had to use one word for my sense of Nick it would be "honest." He is a good man and I look forward to having more projects for him. If you need a contractor absolutely give Nick a shot, you will not regret it!
Description of Work: Gutted a 6 x 11 ft master bathroom, built a wall to provide a walk in shower. Tiled floor and entire shower area. Replaced vanity and commode. Painted walls and ceiling. Rewired lights and exhaust fan. Closed hole in kitchen ceiling and repainted ceiling.

Nick and Matt were wonderful! They were returned every call and answered every question. They were ALWAYS on time, very reasonably priced and cleaned up after each day of work. Very friendly and took the time to listen to what we wanted to achieve with the wood we were using. We are very happy with the work they did and will call them again when we are ready to do our next job!
Description of Work: Updated living room. Removed paneling and molding. New sheet rock, spackle and paint. Used reclaimed lumber to cover six ceiling beams and for moldings on three windows and three doorways. A 9x9 beam was installed as a fireplace mantel.

This job couldn't have gone better. I would use them again in the future, absolutely without a doubt ! Not only were they professional, but very easy to communicate with. I know from past experiences that the ability to communicate with a contractor is a rare and valuable asset ! Throughout the job any changes that had to be made were made conscientious of my budget and my goals for the basement and discussed in a clear manner with me. I can't say enough about the quality of the work and the accuracy to my vision. As far as time frame, the job was completed in a timely matter. They showed up everyday and were extremely hard workers, sometimes not leaving until well into the evening. They were also extremely conscientious of not damaging anything in my home and cleaned up everynight before leaving. Last but not least they were pleasant to have in my home and genuinely nice guys. An important factor if your going to have someone invading your space for weeks at a time !

We provide detailed, accurate quotes, with no hidden fees or increases, through careful planning & attention to detail. We always try to control our clients home remodeling costs without sacrificing quality. Price is what you pay, Value is what you get, & Value is more expensive then Price. Better than expected! We were cautious because we had been burned several years ago by a contractor who quit mid-job so we were delighted with Nick. His estimate was fair and although it was initially more than we were planning to spend, he worked with us to get it done. He was flexible when we changed some jobs after he had begun the project; as we made changes he communicated well, provided new cost estimates the next day and constantly updated us on status. He and Matt were both great to work with. The quality of their work is outstanding- we couldn't be happier. They left the work area clean at the end of each day and were careful to close off the basement so dust and smells didn't come into the house. The project took 3 weeks and they were almost on time - went one or two days over for some finishing touches. The basement looks exactly how we wanted and the bathroom is beautiful! We would definitely work with Nick again.

He rebuilt the outdoor shower lay in new gravel and made sure there was proper drainage. patched and painted the foundation, laid in top soil, replaced the trellises. I live in a mobile home and it's extremely difficult to obtain any kind of help repairing anything that may go wrong. My daughter and son-in-law belong to Angie's list and have had great experiences through obtaining work for their own home, so when my hot water heater broke in the middle of the night and flooded my master bathroom, my daughter gave me three names from Angie's list, one of whom was Nick, owner of Pristine. I decided to go with Nick because he gave me a detailed estimate including start and finish times, was extremely professional, very detailed, called back right away and had the best price. Boy am I happy with my decision. Nick and his right hand man, Matt arrived right on time (8:00a.m.) as promised every day of the job. They ran into some unforeseeable problems, as it is a mobile home, but Nick used his own vehicle and money to go purchase the little extras from Home Depot that were needed for the job. As a 75 year old widow, I was pleasantly surprised by this young man's dedication and pride he took in his work, and all done with the utmost respect. He even took my garbage out to the curb for me. He and his partner went above and beyond. I would recommend him highly.

Working with Pristine East End Contracting has been an amazing experience. I know that is hard to believe about a General Contractor given all the horror stories. My wife and I purchased an old 1830's farm house on the North Fork that needed a lot of work. It had good bones but had been neglected and the investments in maintaining the structure were not in place. We had a tight budget but wanted to approach the work "the right way" Nick who heads up the team is the secret to success. He is passionate about his work and meticulous. He has a wide range of skills personally and oversees everything. He is particularly knowledgeable about materials including a wide range of woods which comes in very handy. He is always thinking about the end goal not how to cut corners. He will suggest new and innovative ideas and provide you with instant feedback on the job via text message. He has sophisticated tastes and is happy to collaborate on the design and make recommendations and is completely comfortable using social media as a time saving medium for sharing ideas etc. That is a real bonus when you are not on site to review work or discuss. At every stage of a complicated 3 month process Nick has been superb. His estimates are thoughtful, detailed and exacting. There are no grey areas, no cost overruns. no renegotiations. No headache. He is totally reasonable on pricing, and willing to work with you on how to best reach the goal given resources. Oh and did I mention hardworking and bringing the project in ON TIME! He is always on the job. He is honest and easy to work with. My wife would say the same thing. He is a charming family man with little kids so he gets that your house is a home. When he knew we were coming to stay at the house with the family he made sure all the tools were put away and the place was spotless and vacuumed. How awesome is that. We are about to start on the outside of the house and Nick is overseeing that as well. More to report soon.

We have contracted Nick DeRosa and Pristine East End Contracting several other times for remodeling work in our residence. This time we needed some projects done at a rental property that we own and we thought of Nick immediately. Due to high humidity and a lack of air circulation, the taped and painted plywood ceiling in the Florida room was peeling, which has been a recurring problem there. Nick suggested that we use a white composite material which should be maintenance-free and would give a "paneled" look to the semi-outdoor space. The end result is beautiful. We also had a couple of other smaller jobs done as described above. As always, Nick was a pleasure to work with and we are very happy with the job that he did.

We had decided that we wanted to do some extensive remodeling to the interior of our home as detailed above. Nick DeRosa came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Nick is both courteous and professional, and his work is of very high quality. We found that he was able to keep to the planned schedule and he was very responsive to any concerns that we had. We were very pleased with his work and have used him on several other projects since then.

We had used Nick DeRosa and Pristine East End Contracting on a previous job to install new Brazilian Koa hardwood floors (as well as number of other things), and we wanted to redo the stairs to match the beautiful hardwood floors. We also wanted to replace all of the cheap hollow builder interior doors with solid pine doors. We were very pleased with Nick's work the first time and decided to bring him back to do this additional work. Once again, we were extremely happy with the quality of the work, as well as the overall experience of working with Nick. The interior of our house is now what we had dreamed it could be, thanks to Nick and Pristine East End Contracting.
Description of Work: - Removed 13 existing interior doors and replaced with solid pine doors, including reframing and new door molding. - Removed existing stair treads, balusters, newel posts and handrails and installed Brazilian Koa stair treads (to match hardwood floors) and new balusters, newel posts and handrails.
