We had new flooring and doors installed to refresh the space and it looks like new. Would definitely work with him again. Space was kept as neat as possible during the project and that was greatly appreciated as I was living in the house during the work. Nick is also easy to talk to and is always willing to answer any questions.

I've had other contractors they get the job "done" and don't do much else. One of these guys worked another hour or more after the door was working to make it perfect. Highly recommended.

 + 8 moreMy house is now over 30 years old and was starting to show its age. I called Pristine, initially, to rebuild an upstairs deck that was starting to separate from the house. Nick (the owner) did such a wonderful job that I hired him to remodel my 3 bathrooms, tile the ground floor, and build a large bedroom closet. Everything was done on time, on budget (his prices were fair and reasonable), and most importantly, all his work is done with pride and the kind of old school workmanship that you don't see that much of anymore. He was always polite and a pleasure to have in the house. At the end of every day Nick cleaned up the worksite and never left any mess. This man is a gentleman, a professional, knows his stuff, and does not take shortcuts. I can recommend Pristine without any reservations for any home construction project you may have. You will not be dissappointed.

 + 0 moreThis was the second job Pristine did for us, (the first was a deck renovation). Once again, Nick's professionalism and workmanship exceeded all expectations. The end product was amazing. The price was reasonable. The project was done on time with minimal impact to day to day life in our house. We asked Nick to do several labor intensive decorative touches to the bathroom, which he did beautifully. This man takes great pride in his work and is also pleasant to be around. He is knowledgeable in all areas of construction/renovation and you could not make a better hire than Pristine!!!

 + 0 moreI did some research & had a few estimates, all in the same ballpark. Nick impressed me with his enthusiasm for the job. We got together in a reasonable amount of time. We went over my idea, tossed a few others around, and came back to the original. Nick was very thorough in going over the needed materials for this 12 x 18 project: Ipe w needed stainless steel hardware, lighted steps, black metal railings, faux stone. The one mistake I made was not in reading the contract carefully, as sealing the porch was not included. The construction proceeded smoothly. I was really impressed with the new footings created and felt assured this front porch would be solid & last for many years to come. Nick listened to my preferred placing of the boards. The lighted steps were just what I had envisioned. Nick went "the extra mile" by not only applying the stone work around the new porch and garage foundation, but also to the remainder of the rest of the front. I would use Nick again, and would recommend him to my friends.

 + -1 moreI called Pristine to repair a second floor deck/balcony that was aging and starting to separate from the house. Nick gave me a fair and thorough estimate. He explained to me how long it would take, how he would do it, and walked me through the entire process. The man is a wizard with wood! The deck is now, not only as good as new, it is better...Sturdy, Safe, and Beautiful. Nick was on time, reliable, and always very professional. He cleaned up thoroughly every day and there was no mess. We were so happy with his work that we asked him to remodel our bathrooms. Overall we could not be more pleased with Pristine and can recommend them very highly!

 + 9 moreNick did an amazing job - we love the new Built-In cabinets and Fireplace surround. He helped us think through the design and than delivered against everything he said he would do. Compared to others we got quotes from, Nick's price was fair considering the amount of work that was performed. He used only highest quality materials, was very detailed in his proposal to ensure there were no misunderstanding's, and was meticulous to ensure the final product was of the best quality. Everything Nick did was custom for the space - my wife was scared of the size of TV I bought to mount above the fireplace, but Nick made it work - customized everything around it to ensure the TV fit in perfectly and didn't dominate the space. Nick did everything from re-routing wiring, HVAC, designing and building cabinets, sanding, painting, installing speakers, mantle, Stone tile around FP, TV, etc.... There was no nickel and diming - the price and the work we agreed to up front remained the same and Nick was true to his word which seems to be rare these days. We will definitely hire Nick again in the future for other home remodeling projects

Nick always made sure to let me know where he was in all stages of progress and reached out when something unexpected came up. I have a house that had many structural issues we didn't know about until work started and Nick worked to fix it while also trying to stay within my budget. All told the work looks great and I would work with Nick again on future projects. He is a nice guy who does really good work.
Description of Work: Nick worked on just about every part of the first floor of our house. Complete bathroom gut and remodel. Reframing and installing insulation in three separate rooms. New flooring and painting throughout. We had new windows and doors installed. As work was being done we realized we needed a new roof in our sunroom which he completed as well. Lastly, he also installed a new deck in the backyard and worked on a small cinder-block storage room in the basement.

 + 5 moreMr DeRosa is knowledgeable in many areas. He can handle most jobs by himself. When he starts a job, he stays on it until completion and does not jump from job to job. He is meticulous in his work, and equally so in cleaning up every day. Being a careful professional, the job may take a bit more time than estimated (but it will be done right). We also found Mr DeRosa to be a pleasant person to deal with. We would recommend him and use his services again.
Description of Work: Partial Kitchen renovation included: Ripping out old rotten sub flooring, raising counter island. Installing new sub and top flooring, rebuilding counter tops with new formica. Removed old cooktop, oven, and sink. Installed new appliances and improving kitchen plumbing. Designed and built small cabinet to fill space around new oven. Installed new lighting. Also installed banister and railing outside kitchen door.

 + 1 moreWe called them back to do the bathroom. We liked the way they did the kitchen and plus they're local and I like using local people. Local people have children in the school district, lives in the community, and he was on the job every day. The owner of the company was on the job every day. I enjoyed them. They were a nice bunch of guys. He also used local guys. He's been on the honor roll for Angie's List a few years ago. They're not in your booklet anymore, so I don't know if maybe he stopped advertising. When we did the kitchen that's how I got them, from Angie's List and they were on the Honor Roll.

He is very accommodating and works with you as the project progresses. He approaches the project as he was working on his own home. He is a perfectionist and pays attention to detail. He cleans up during and at the completion of the project. Very neat! Most of all, Nick is an honest business contractor. We will use his services as long as he is available.

Description of Work: Nick completely remodeled our bathroom and did cabinetry and plumbing for our kitchen. The craftsmanship was fantastic and we could not be happier. The inspector had only one objection which turned out to be no problem. He thought there was no sealant under the new toilet but it was a clear seal done so expertly, it was almost invisible!

 + 0 moreNick DeRosa did a complete remodel of the finished space in my basement which was around 700 sq. ft. The remodel included removing and replacing all the existing flooring and drywall, waterproofing the concrete floors and cinder block walls and reinforcing the living room floor by adding extra joists. Nick installed mold proof drywall, a new drop ceiling, new doors, added new lighting throughout the basement and installed a vinyl plank flooring. In addition the vinyl floor in the basement laundry room was replaced with ceramic tile. The work went great, and was done in four weeks exactly as Nick had estimated. There were no extra costs and the finishes were beautifully done. Nick put in extra hours and pulled in extra help to make sure that he finished all the work on time. He recommended a very nice vinyl plank floor that looks beautiful. This is the 2nd time I have hired Nick for a big renovation job, and I have not been disappointed yet. Excellent work, very professional and very knowledgable. To quote Nick's favorite phrase "Awesome!"

 + 11 moreNick DeRosa using old world craftsmanship combined with an in-depth knowledge of modern building materials and techniques produced unbelievable results. Faced with a daunting task of trying to rebuild our home after a devastating flood, Nick provided guidance not only as to how to get our home back in shape but also providing guidance and support in our dealings with the insurance company as well as the bank. This is the second time that we have used Nick and his team this year. Project involved rebuilding the upstairs bathroom, upstairs study, upstairs hallway, downstairs kitchen, as well as downstairs hallway. The total cost of this project exceeded $20,000, including construction, plumbing, and electrical. This does not take into account the money that was paid by the insurance company for the clean-up after the flood as well as the removal of asbestos that was discovered during the course of clean-up. This added another $15,000 bringing the grand total to $35,000. The final end product far exceeded our expectations and we anticipate contracting Nick to perform additional work sometime in the early part of 2017. Overall, I would rate Pristine East End Contracting an "A". Specifically, Nick DeRosa: 1. Provided us with a detailed quote in which he clearly documented both time and materials; 2. Completed our project on time and at budget; 3. Worked exclusively on our project without the distraction of other commitments; 4. Coordinated effectively with other tradesmen, including John Julius Electric as well as Atlantic Plumbing; 5. Maintained a safe and meticulously clean work area free from dirt and construction debris; and 6. Exhibited politeness and professionalism in his dealings with us, his helpers, as well as other tradesmen.
Description of Work: Install sheetrock on the ceiling, and wall in kitchen, where sheetrock was removed due to leak. Patch sheetrock that was removed, near 2nd floor bathroom. Remove wallpaper from 2nd floor bathroom walls. Skim coat 2nd floor bathroom walls. Remove peeling tape on 1st floor hallway ceiling. Tape, spackle, & sand all newly installed sheetrock, 1st floor hallway ceiling, and skimcoated walls in 2nd floor bathroom. Prep sub-floor for flooring. Install approx. 400 sq.' of vinyl plank, click and lock flooring throughout 2nd floor study. Remove any existing base moulding, and re-install after floor is layed. Fill nail holes and caulk to ready for paint. Remove the rest of the casing, for the sliding door in kitchen, as an exact match is unlikely. Install new casing around back door, in kitchen. Cut back broken crown moulding in kitchen to next available seam or corner. Install missing crown moulding in kitchen. Install missing base moulding upstairs, outside of 2nd floor bathroom. Fill all nail holes and caulk to ready for paint. Install hardibacker over 2nd floor bathroom sub-floor. Install tile on bathroom floor. Grout bathroom floor. Install new toilet bowl and vanity/sink/top. Hang mirror and bathroom fixtures (tp holder/towel bar). Install new radiator cover in bathroom. Spot prime all new sheetrock/spackle, and paint the entire kitchen, walls and ceiling. Paint 1st floor hallway ceiling, 2nd floor hallway walls, 2nd floor bathroom walls, and walls of 2nd floor study. Paint Trim around back sliding door in kitchen. Paint kitchen and 1st floor hallway crown. Paint all newly installed missing base moulding on 2nd floor. Provide protection for all work areas. Remove top layer of existing stained kitchen floor grout, using a diamond grout removal blade, to ready for re-grouting. Vaccum entire floor and all grout lines. Re-grout entire kitchen floor.
