Two guys showed up on time, worked, and left, all was good.

Salesman courteous, knowledgeable. Workmen courteous, knowledgeable. Arrived on time, explained issues, made recommendations, work great.

Company informed me they don't do the work I required but did not specify that on the Deal. Getting a refund through Angie's List.

They were unable to do the exact work that I was looking to get done. However they did follow up with a recommendation of some that could do my job.

There was a leak in the kitchen ceiling which I believed was caused by a problem with the chimney and/or roof. I contacted this company for a chimney inspection to determine the problem and if necessary, an estimate for chimney repair. Unlike some of the other chimney "professionals" listed here, this company actually was professional from the beginning. The employee who answered the phone was courteous and set up an appointment that was convenient for me. The technicians showed up early for the estimate, but made sure it was a convenient time for us. They actually climbed a ladder to the roof to inspect the chimney top and inspected the chimney inside from attic to basement (another company inspected the chimney from the ground). After the inspection, the technician explained the work that needed to be done. They went to their truck and wrote up the estimate. The day before the installation appointment, I received a courtesy call from one of the customer service employees to confirm the appointment. This was a plus for me because I was taking the day off from work. On the day of the installation, I was expecting the appointment to be cancelled because thunderstorms were expected in the area. But the technicians showed up on time, got right to work, and worked efficiently while they were here. Another big plus: they did not use cell phones while working so I knew the work was getting their undivided attention. After the work was completed, they cleaned up after themselves. The total cost of the work matched the original estimate; there were no hidden or additional costs. When the chimney needs maintenance in the future, I will definitely contact this company first. I would highly recommend this company to friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

Scheduling, build and Installation of the gas fireplace went very well and was completed as promised. The crew was there when promised and I was able to coordinate with other contractors and deliveries that were being made during a week of tight schedules. All of the crew were very professional, and easy to talk to which created a very good working environment. John the crew lead kept me informed of what was going on and the schedule. He also assisted greatly in getting the new gas stove that my wife purchased hooked up and installed when the Propane Co. team was there. Northeastern was also willing to work with us upfront as we planned out what we wanted the finished project to look like and make suggestions on what may or may not work for us. We will have to wait for a while on the overall performance of the fireplace itself but the overall stone fireplace and fireplace unit looks great. Our close friends who have the Mendota gas fireplace units have been happy with theirs and we are looking forward to the same.

We didn't go with them, we didn't actually do anything. We had another person come out and they said we didn't have to do anything. It went well, they got back to us very quickly. They're professional.

I would use these guys again, but would definitely ask for a detailed estimate as I don't know what I was charged for and what came "extra". I would also get a couple other estimates.

The estimator was on time, and actually got up on the roof and to a look at my chimney to give me an estimate (another company just gave an estimate based on his "ground view" assessment of the work to be done.) Several other companies that I called to get an estimate (whom I got from Angie's List) didn't return my calls in a timely manner (or at all); one took 3 weeks to get out to give me an estimate. Northeastern was the most professional of the companies I dealt with. The two men who came to do the actual work were on time and professional. The work was correctly done, and they cleaned everything up inside and out afterwards. I've used the fireplace extensively over this winter, and have had no problems. Their work has stood up to this harsh winter; the cap and flashing are all in place (as they should be, of course.) I would recommend Northeastern Masonry and Chimney; they did excellent, timely work at a reasonable price.

Their service was good with cleaning the chimney. There was some question with their contractor on whether there was some damage with some chimney piping that they put in but I have not been able to verify that. The people that came out were friendly and they did the work pretty quickly. There was just a question on if the pipe that they put in the chimney was damage during installation.

I was concerned that i may have had a slight chimney fire and was concerned about having another fire in my woodstove. From the initial call to the end of their visit, Northeasten Masonry & Chimney Services were very friendly, proffessional, efficent, clean and through. They arrived when they said they would, layed down drop clothes for no mess. Used high powered vaccum cleaner to clean the woodstove of ash and built up creosote. Upon inspection it was determined i did have slight chimney fire in pipe and chimney for my woodstove. They used a brush and tools to clean the pipe and chimney thoroughly and gave me peace of mind it was safe to use my woodstove. As a result of their professionalism i intend on visiting showroom in spring to purchase new woodstove

nobody still works there from 2006 that is there now. all new people. Probably different economy.....different now. So you be the judge. Did what they said they were to do on insulation. left insulation removed in my garbage even though I told him I was not there. Got my keys from realtor.

They did a good job, was more expensive than I would have expected (but they stuck to their original estimate)

My experience with Northeastern Masonry & Chimney was wonderful. They were on Angie's List and a friend of mine referred them to me, also. They did a great job.

They were quick, prompt, and really fast. They were in and out. They very simple and knowledgeable.

Originally, I asked just for a chimney sweep. Their price was a bit higher than other places, but several places I called were not returning my calls. They came out on a Saturday and performed the service neatly and fairly quickly. They noted that I needed a chimney cap (which I was aware of) and a steel liner (which I was not aware of). They offered to fix this for $1100. I thought that was steep, but since many other places were not returning my calls for a simple sweeping, and that they were offering to perform the service this season, I agreed and put down a deposit (it appears they require 1/3 of the full cost as a deposit). After doing research, the $1100 quote is fair, and pretty average. My only real complaint is that while they said that they would be there between 8am-9am, the arrived at almost 9:30. Certainly not a horrible experience, but they never called saying that they would be late...and I had to get to work. They were quick and everything seemed to work out well. No issues so far.

Surprised to see A/B rating...Called co. because we were unable to open chimney flue. Their "video inspection" failed to notice 35 lbs. of cement debris that was left by a chimney repair co. and we were told that we needed to get a new damper door installed.My husband and brother were able to remove the old cement with much difficulty and problem solved !

We used their service and they did a good job.

Scheduled to have my fireplace cleaned through Northeastern. I had retained there name through a colleague that had used them and was pleased. They showed up at the time they had told me on the confirmation call the friday before. The technicians were pleasant and helpful. After cleaning the chimney they answered the couple questions I had, since I may be interested in an insert at some point. A very good experience overall.

This company was great to work with. I've had a competitor, who I found on Angie's list, repairing my chimney with pointing (filling in bad mortar) over the years. I decided to take a chance, and Northeastern explained to me that the damage kept coming back because my liner was bad, and all of the moisture and acid from my heater consequently bled into and broke doan the outside of the chimney. The previous company never even looked in there! Rather than put a bandaid on, they solved the root of the problem, and were so confidant that they gave me a ten year warranty on the chimney and a lifetime warranty on the inside. The technicians were prompt, clean, educated and articulate, and the office staff was fast and efficient. I won't ever use anyone else.

2 gentleman came to the home to do a large rebuild and reclining of the chimney. They were dressed with uniforms and were very clean! The work looks fantastic . I will recommend

Estimate was given by Justin. He seemed quite confident that the flare problem would be fixed. Two men spent a few hours with mortar on the stone and then sprayed a sealant with a pump sprayer. Seemed to hold up alright through a very dry summer but as soon as the autumn rains came the flares were back. I commented to the contractor on 3 separate occasions (2 were follow-up surveys, one was face to face) that it was without a doubt the most I'd ever paid for the least amount of work, time, materials, etc. A shrug was the only reply. I called in November, they followed up 10 days later to look at it and have promised to try again when weather permits. There have been several days that were nicer than the original service date in April since that visit and I have heard nothing further as of today. My confidence level is extremely low at this point.

Hardly knew they were there. In and out on the scheduled day. Very professional. Felt the prices were a little high but I am not in a good position to judge that since I did not get a bunch of estimates.
