Description of Work: Came by to look at moving a drain/vent pipe. Gave a quote and advice, and ended up doing the work myself. Thanks for the tips and knowledge.

Description of Work: I needed a plumber to fix some plumbing work I had done by an all around handy man/sheetrocker who assured me that he knew plumbing. That was my first mistake. So not wanting to make another bad choice I joined angies list and looked for a pro. I read numerous reviews on lots of different plumbers and this one stood out since he seemed highly rated so I called him. I explained the situation and showed him the work that needed to be fixed and completed. He assessed everything and to my relief confirmed what I already suspected, that the work done by the previous guy although not perfect was by no means a disaster and totally fixable. So I hired him.... making my second mistake. Paul came in and made a few adjustments on the faucets but could not figure out the how to make them work. Wow I kept thinking, and this guy is a "master plumber". So he stopped working on that problem and completed a couple of other small unrelated jobs I had offered him, one being to connect a four foot piece of base heating that I provided which he charged $450.00. He then charged me another $530.00 and to this day im really not sure what the heck he did but I paid it because he assured me that he would finish the job and he really does come across as an honest and knowledgeable person. He did return again and this time I saw that he had no clue as to how to fix the plumbing and just kept repeating how it wasn't his plumbing work at which I responded " hey, arent all plumbing repair jobs someone elses previos work and I also reminded him that I just needed the job completed even if it meant tearing it all out and starting over. I was willing to pay. I was not expecting any discounts or favors. I know a good plumber costs money which is why I hired a so call "master". Paul then left with the promise to research the high end delta fuacets I bought and return to complete the job. That was almost a year ago and I am still waiting. In the interim a neighbor refered a plumber that she had used and the guy came in and fixed everything without a problem which included some of the work of the first guy and to my surprise most of the work that this so called "master Plumber" did. This second guy also installed another 20 feet of baseboard, installed a slop sink in the laundry room, connected a main line emergency shutoff and a few other smaller jobs all done professionally, efficiently and reasonably priced. Anyone reading this review... please be assured that I am not "one of those people" meaning someone who is a pain in the a**, is always looking for a bargain and is never satisfied no matter what because when I read a negative review among many positive ones that's what I think. I have never written a negative review on angies list or anywhere else for that matter and the only reason I wrote this one is because angies list emailed me. What I should have done is taken paul to small claims court but again that's not me and some things I just tend to chuck off to a lesson learned. I just wish there was a way to recommend the last plumber I used to everyone out there. good luck...

Description of Work: I would definitely use Paul's Plumbing Service again. He was professional, and got the job done. He came when he was anticipated, and even called to say he was on his way. He's a keeper! He was reasonably priced.

Description of Work: Installed a garbage disposal unit under sink. Refitted the pipes.

Description of Work: Ran a gas line from garage to convert fireplace to gas logs and ran gasline from garage up and over in attic to convert electric dryer to gas. He set up new appliances and did an over house test for gas leaks. We were very pleased in every way and will use Paul in the future. Highly recommend!
