Excellent Air Heating & Cooling

My AC kicked on and caught a chipmunk in the blades. I needed the shroud removed to get the chippy out and the unit checked for damage. Lou, the technician , was very thorough, provided a report of the furnace effeciency and CO exhaust content, cleaned the debris from the AC base and leaves sucked into my outside air furnace supply. I had both units (furnace and AC) have their annual cleaning and service . I was pleased to hear they can supply the honeywell filter I need for the furnace without the 2x markup I hae experienced elsewhere. I will certainly recommend this company to others and use them annually for the furnace.

We were so impressed by our entire interaction with this company. We purchased the special on Angie's List for a furnace and A/C cleaning and inspection. When we called to schedule, the person who answered the phone was friendly and was able to get us an appointment that same week. The tech who came showed up right on the minute for the appointment and spent almost two hours at our home. He was extremely thorough and gave us the details about both units and the condition of various components which are approximately 17 years old. I would definitely use them again in the future. The biggest fear with these types of companies is that they will recommend unnecessary work. I would have confidence that Excellent Air would not do that.

They found the problem pretty quickly, and replaced a defective part. They also cleaned out the unit, answering my questions about the process while completing the cleaning. Last, they tested the effectiveness of the repairs, and gave a little free advice on furnace cleaning, and about my water heater. Although ultimately a little pricey (more than I initially expected), they did a very thorough job, gave some free advice, and made a few recommendations for future upkeep of the unit. I will be calling them to service my furnace in the fall, and will consider them for a tankless water heater install in the future once my current unit goes out. I was overall satisfied with the responsiveness and thoroughness of the job.

Furnaces are old but they seem to be in good condition. I did not need to watch over his should as he did the work. As I was getting an inspection that day for CofO he wrote up an explanation of what he did, testing the combustion of each furnace with the breakdown of the combustibles (CO, etc.). His write up verified that the furnaces are safe for operation and operable. He had a separate checklist with what was completed. He was very knowledgeable and even tested both the furnaces at the same time as he wanted to verify that the flue wasn't undersized as both were ducted to the existing chimney. Very satisfied and will be using Excellent Air again! (He even gave me coupons after!)

We had Excellent Air do a cleaning and check up of our Central Air Condioning System. To start, I called the main office in Scottsville, NY and an actual person answered the phone - no recordings! We confirmed the price of $59.95 which was the price advertised on Angie's List. We set an appointment date and time. One hour before the appointment the technician, Lou, called and asked if he could arrive 15 minutes early and I agreed. He arrived right on time and told me it would take about an hour. It took about an hour as promised. At the end, Lou wrote down all his findings on the invoice and explained them too me. He even explained some things I could do on my own to keep my A/C running more efficiently and to give it a longer life. He did not try to sell me any repairs or additional services. The price was as agreed and Lou was very professional. Lou even brought his own floor covering to wipe his feet on so he would not bring dirt into the house. Excellent Air could not have done anything more to make me more satisfied. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and met their commitments. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Everyone from Excellent Air was very friendly . The installation was done in 2 parts as we wanted to use up the oil we had. They had no problem doing this. The installation was done quickly and very neatly. They also disposed of the old oil furnace. I have already recommended them to a friend who actually also had them install a new furnace. I will have Excellent Air come back and quote a new A/C unit soon. Very pleased with them .

I was very happy with the job they did. They were on time, professional and took the time to explain what I could do as a home owner to maintain my furnace.

It was easy to book a date. They came on time. The did the tuneup. The furnace is working fine.

Lou came to our house on time. The job is well done. Lou was not rush but thorough. He was also very patient in explaining things and suggesting future project. The talk is very educational and helpful. I will certainly considering using this contractor again.

Everything went smoothly: they arranged a time with my tenant, showed up promptly, and contacted me afterwards with the documentation. They found a small water leak that they fixed for no extra charge.

From my initial contact with Donna, to the service call by Bob, to the installation of the furnace with Bob, Charlie and Thomas, everything went wonderfully, I couldn't be happier.

The service man was very professional, but also was very friendly. The job was to tune up the furnace and AC. I am an electrician so I do have some knowledge in the area. He was on time and did not charge extra for anything that was done. I would use this company again.

I purchased the $110 pkg. for cleaning and checking both units from Angie"s List .When I called for appt., the lady was pleasant and professional. She gave me a time we both agreed on and said Lou would be the serviceman. She also told me that there might be a 1/2 hr.-give or take- time difference, but Lou would call, if necessary.He did call and asked if he could arrive 20 min. earlier, which was fine by me.He spent about 1/2 hr. working w/ the furnace--then more time w/ a/c.The a/c was filthy ( I didn't have it cleaned in 2 yrs.) He re-adjusted settings that were not done,apparently, from the previous company that had put a new motor in the furnace 3 yrs ago. He explained everything--was really very nice. He did make the a/c work more efficiently and the motor definitely runs quieter. I recommend this company, based on my experience and I will use them in the future.I did not feel as though I was being pressured into anything. I felt he took his time and explained everything All told, it was a good experience.

purchased a deal through angie's list for a tune up. all went smoothly

They are a small company and they had one person come out and give me a quote and then another person came out and installed the furnace for us. They were good and they had a good quote and they did a great job and cleaned up when they finished. We have had no problems with it. They have come back a couple of times for regular maintenance. We will continue to use their services in the future for our furnace.

The prices were good. They did a good job and were very matter of fact.

I have used Excellent Air twice now and both times they were prompt and very professional. The first time was a quick fix to the furnace and they came out on a Sunday to make sure they got us heat right away. The charge was under $100 and they didn't even charge for a weekend call. The second time my hot water heater burst so they installed a tankless water heater for $2200. They put three guys on it and worked until 9pm to make sure I got hot water as soon as possible. They are always very prompt and courteous. I will only use them in the future.

Due to bad coils, I was told to replace my central air conditioning unit at an approximate cost of $3000 to $3500. Excellent Air was recommended to me and they promptly came out to offer a second opinion. They were very professional and courteous. They indicated that the coils could be replaced or they had an central air conditioning unit that I could purchase at a more reasonable cost. We mostly focused on the central air unit that I was initially going to install, but I had second thoughts given the price difference between the installation of new coils versus an entire unit. I called to explain my concerns. I felt there was not enough discussion about all my pricing options, but we worked out this communication difference and I approved them to install the new coil system. Two installers came out and were very nice and professional. The job took about 4.5 hours and my air conditioning system now works fine. The installers pointed out that I should have a manual from my gas furnance that was installed. They called a supplier to get a copy of the manual and indicated that they would provide me with a copy. They did forward this email to me with the manual however there was no attachment. I requested the manual again via email and I received no response. That is what took my rating down from an A to a B. Not a deal breaker but it would have distinguished them if they had follow through on this. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Unit was insalled correctly but was defective from factory, Excellent Air took care of problem with new unit and made several calls to make sure unit was operating properly.

The work was excellent. They were prompt and courteous. They called back. They did everything. I would recommend them to others. I would use their services again in the future.

Greg Dixon responded the same day to my request for an estimate (a Thursday) and performed the installation promptly on Monday. His staff was polite and knowledgeable.

I spent $6000 on the job. They were great; they were wonderful. The price was good. I had received a couple of other estimates. Their estimate was generic. The people were very nice and very helpful. I felt good about them. They took a few hours to complete the job. They knew their stuff and they were professional. I was very happy with them. I will use them again in the future.

I spent $7442 on the job. I had a positive and a good interaction with them. The pump that they put failed within the first 24 hours. They came out immediately and replaced the pump. It has been fine since. I would recommend them. The person, who I interacted with, talked to me about the products and the services. He was very professional and very thorough in his explanations. The guys, who came out and did the work, did an excellent job and left the place spotless. I will use their services again in the future.
