Excellent Air Heating & Cooling

I'd been a customer of Excellent Air for over 10 years and during that time they had been reasonably priced and competent. However, in 2019 I noticed that the upper level of my home (I have a 3-zone system) was not cooling properly. They refused to address the issue and instead blamed the Nest thermostat I'd installed myself. It seems that if you install anything on your own, they're not interested in addressing issues. This issue went on for a year and when I expressed frustration with the situation, they basically said they didn't want me as a customer any more. I hired another HVAC company (JJB Mechanical) and they were quickly able to determine that the problem was a broken damper on the upstairs zone. What really irks me is that the guy from Excellent Air noticed that the cover for that damper motor was loose, so he just reattached it rather than actually checking the motor itself. So, I chalk it up to either laziness or incompetence. The bottom line is that for over a decade Excellent Air provided me with quality service. But to drop me as a customer over something that they should have been able to easily detect and fix speaks very poorly of either their newer technicians or corporate policy.

They want $99.00 just to tell me my boiler needs repairs. Really? I know that and I don't need to pay anybody $99.00 to find that out. I will pay a reasonable rate for Time & Materials to repair my boiler. They couldn't even tell me what their flat rate per hour is. They said every job is different. Again, Really? They don't want to work, they are happy with their service charge ($99.00) so they don't need work. Maybe others are willing to pay for nothing, but not I. Long gone are the days when people use to work for a living. They had pride in their work. That's how America became great. No more. Why bother when people pay $99.00 for telling you what you already know.

The service was done on an older furnace, they were very knowledgeable about it and he was familiar with my old furnace, and they did a very fine job in it. they were able to fixed and get it working and maintained it as well for us. They have a very very reasonable pricing as far as I can recall.

Did a good job. The vents did not provide adequate heat so owner Greg came out, analyzed and fixed promptly w/o additional cost.

Everyone was great. From the ladies in the office to the techs to Greg, the owner, everyone was professional, communicated well and made the whole process very smooth. They accidentally booked two installs the morning ours was supposed to be done, but shuffled some things around and made sure we didn't have to wait another day for our furnace.

I give them A's all across. They worked fast and found the best parts for us. The technicians were very professional and friendly.

Workers arrived exactly at specified time. Put down drop cloths to protect floor from back door to cellar stairs. Quickly disassembled the old furnace d proceeded to install the new. Replaced needed duct work, installed humidifier, new thermostat and tested unit. Arrived at 8:30 AM were all done and gone by 3:00 PM. Everything cleaned up and left in a very neat condition. The whole crew was very professional.

I could not have asked for better service. Greg and his team helped out with portable heaters until everything could be installed. Since it was early Fall, it was not urgent, and the new heater and thermostat was installed in 1 day, in under a week from the first call. beyond the installation, Greg was thorough and helpful in guiding me in the various options of equipment, and their price. Everything was clear. He also facilitated the RGE rebate for the energy efficient upgrade.

I priced it out to a few different places and they were not the cheapest by a long shot because I don't believe in that. It is a York furnace and I was pleased with that. They gave me the best overall price in the essence of what they told me they would be doing. The cheaper ones were not offering the same things. They were middle of the road with pricing. They are excellent. The owner I like and they have a worker by the name of Lou and I asked for him specifically because he installed, along with the owner, the furnace and the air conditioning. They are two very nice gentlemen and did a great job on it. Any time I have had an issue with any aspect of it, few though they are, they have come right over. Their maintenance pricing is very reasonable.

When I called, Excellent Air gave me a probably diagnosis, which matched my own assessment of the water puddle. The assured me that there was not safety or health risk. I was scheduled quickly. They did an overview of the system, and reconnected a disconnected tube which had caused the water puddle. All is well. I will definitely use Excellent Air again.

Great! I bought an old house with a boiler heat and hot water system and had no hot water when I moved in. The technician checked out the system, started it up and explained how it worked. Both he and the woman I spoke to on the phone were very nice to deal with and I will definitely continue to use this company in the future.

Everything went well other than some supplier issues. I ended up with an upgraded system at no additional cost due to damage on the unit I was supposed to get. The system has worked well for the first month and is significantly more comfortable than our last system.

I have pretty good service with them. They were here about 3 years ago now because I've been using different people. They were average. They had to come back, something went wrong because my air conditioning wasn't working correctly. I called them and it was one of the guys that was working for him that made a mistake.

I would use them again. I've already scheduled for next year.

He was able to repair it in a very quick fashion. He did speak with my family members to explain what he did and if we ran into any problems to give him a call. He was very responsive.

It went well. The team was very punctual, complete and knowledgeable. The only complaint was the price to pick the drain pipe was excessive.

From start to finish the installation went great. Greg Dixon provided a detailed estimate and comprehensive explanation of the entire job. The crew that installed the furnace were courteous ,informative and fast (completed the job in 4 hours). I highly recommend these folks

Donna of Excellent Air answered the phone (didn't have to leave a voice mail message) when we first called to have someone come and evaluate our existing heating and cooling system. Greg was able to come out in a few days. We recognized right away that Greg was very knowledgeable and we trusted his evaluation of our inefficient, 21 yr old system. He carefully explained all our options which included just a servicing of our existing system to new equipment in varying degrees of efficiency and price. We chose to go with the top of the line equipment and are happy we did. We are already enjoying the new air conditioning unit and trust we will be equally happy when it's time to use the new furnace. We knew from our first contact to the finished job, that we were dealing with an honest and professional business. We highly recommend Excellent Air!

They were prompt, professional, completed the work quickly and cleaned up when done. I will use again.
