It went great, a younger guy showed up but was clearly a professional and knew what he was doing. He took the time to get a mess of wires and a nonworking switch fixed and cleaned up everything so that it looked nice and neat. He really had to investigate these wires to figure out where everything should be going and had to redo some things to get the switch working, so this really did take someone with a strong knowledge of electrical and it was clear he had that. I was very pleased and will call back in a second and would pay them full price without question.

Matt returned to ground the outlets and actually spent more time than I paid for. I had paid for two hours' worth of work, but he ran into some old construction that slowed him down. Instead of stopping at the two-hour mark, he went beyond it by 20 minutes or so. As for the installation of the lighting fixtures, Jim estimated that would take 90 minutes, and he and Matt finished the job just a few minutes beyond that. That job, contracted outside of Angie's List, was finished as scheduled and at a very reasonable cost. I would hire Slingerland Electric again without hesitation.

I did not end up using the deal because the service provider was too far and refused to service me.

Jim returned all of my emails and phone calls exceptionally fast. He is very professional and setting an appointment to have my electrical breaker panel replaced was easy. The man who replaced our panel showed up on time and worked the whole day without even taking a lunch. He was polite and knowledgable. We did have an issue after the electrician left - our a/c compressor was not coming on. I called Jim (the owner) and although it was later in the evening, he came right out and fixed the problem. He was courteous from start to finish. We will definitely be using Slingerland Electric again and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work to be done. Thank you Jim......we couldn't be happier!

Matt was friendly and polite and got right to work. I originally specified that I wanted a light switched out in my foyer which would require a 12 foot ladder and was told it would be no problem. Matt showed up, but didn't bring a ladder with him, so the light install which originally prompted me to purchase the big deal remains in the box. I also wanted the electrician to check out the ground wires for the meter, and while the guy looked at it, he didn't seem to know whether it was properly grounded or not. Since I had more than enough work to fill the 2 hours of work purchased under the deal, I feel I got my money's worth. However, I am disappointed that the two top items on my list of electrical work to be done remain unfinished. I will, however, call them back to schedule another appointment.

Jim was punctual and professional. He used high quality parts and even split different parts of my home on different circuits. He was neat and worked very quickly but thoroughly. I only experienced a short disruption in power while he swithed over to the new service. His prices are extremely competitive and he definitely delivered all that he promised, and then some. He is obviously dedicated to customer satisfaction, as stated in his advertisement. I have recommended him to a few people and all have been very happy with his service and quality of work.

Slingerland Electric was prompt in getting me an estimate of work to be done. Much cheaper for same work than other estimate I recieved. Jim worked fast but safely paying careful attention to detail. He noticed the fuse box best be replaced and went and got another at home depot in only a matter of minutes and completed the job. Prior to the repair I was unable to use micro wave and air-conditioner at the same time. His work performed has increased my quality of life .....not having to worry about appliances used or contiually have to to go in the basement to flip the breaker back on. My power has worked flawlessly over the past 11 months with no issues what so ever. This review was late in coming as I just joined Angie's list a few days ago. Great work great price great customer experience!
