He put in used breakers and after we had problems we called two other electricians to fix his mess.

I am at this time working on a case against this company and the 3rd party people that did an inspection after this company performed the work as the 3rd party inspection people passed it without doing the inspection on almost 2 occasions. I approached the 3rd party people the second time and warned them they did me wrong. I have many pictures and some videos from start to finish. I will exercise my rights and proceed against both until this gets resolved. This company and 3rd party put my family in jeopardy and if it was not for National Grid failing the work performed this could have been a bad situation. Do not use as your family could be in danger because of the quality of work he performs. Just look at the picture and clearly he does not know what he is doing and I have many more to offer and video film.

The electrician arrived on time and performed the repairs

The kitchen work was fine. In the bedroom the new fan was a Craftmade with a universal remote,the installer did not program the new remote to work with receiver in the light. The Minka fan which was being replace came with a factory installled remote reciver and its' own hand remote. I called he came again and told me I did not know how to use the remote and it was just find and charged me an additional &75.00. After this the company rep for Craftmade came as well as the electrilcal person from the lighting store I purcahsed it from. They told me there was no way a Minka remote could control a univeral receiver and I was lucky he had not burned out the receiver, they took down the fan found the instructins on the receiver to program the remote and it now works like a charm. Called Slingerland Electric to tell them this and ask for the $75 back as the second visit did not solve the problem. I was told on FEb. 2 he would have the money dropped off, as of March 1st I have not seen it even after several phone calls, two of which I received no response from. Would not use again,

It took a while to connect and schedule a time. When I scheduled the work we talked extensively about the job: new outside electric outlet. When the electrician came, he was surprised to hear it was a new outlet; he thought it was a repair. He went ahead and started the work then left for an hour to purchase the materials. He was quiet, neat, professional, cleaned up behind himself,quick. I was a bit surprised to have a $55 bill for materials when the Deal was for Installation of an Outside Electric Outlet.

I was pleased with him. I thought it was a little pricey. There was some lack of communication.

. Was here for approximately one hour and spent a majority of the time on the phone discussing what work he could actually do since it was an Angie's list deal of $99.00 for 2 hours of service. I wanted him to look at the hanging fluorescent light in the family room which did not work. He took it down and said the bulbs were the wrong model. And the lamp was a cheap model. I agreed for him to come back for the second of the two hours with a better light and I would pay the difference I had asked for a new outlet in the garage, he said he could do it the following week when he came back to do the light. No one ever came back or called. I had the work done by someone else.

EXCELLENT...punctual, professional and no problem...really nice to do business with..gave a price and did the work for what he quoted..can't ask for more than that...

The service turned out great. They were really nice, and did a good job.

Originally purchased a special ($99 for two hours labor), plus parts. They were willing to come now, in December, even though I told them I could wait until Spring (outdoor work, and unheated attic). They cheerfully came anyway, thanks! Showed up punctually, Bob knew exactly what he was doing, finished in 1 hour, 55 minutes. Since he had done so well on that, I asked him to perform an additional task, for an additional charge, of course. Although that wasn't on the agenda for today, he accommodated me with no hesitation. So far, everything seems to be working great.

The serviceman was very good, He fixed the two lights immediately and had to order a part for the fan. When the part came in, he came back and repaired the fan in a short time.

the serviceman called prior to coming and was prompt. He had the equipment, knowledge, and parts on hand to evaluate and replace the faulty pieces. He had them both fixed within the timeframe and explained to me what was wrong. I am very satisfied with the work.

My experience went well. They were very nice. It did take a while to get something scheduled and they were late for the appointment.

I had bought the $99 special for 2 hours of labor. I wanted to replace the switch and outlets as mentioned above, as well as install 3 additional outlets in the same room. It took 2-3 emails to finally contact the provider to arrange a time to have the work done. No one showed up at the scheduled time, so I rescheduled for a week later. Again no one showed up. Made arrangements for a third time, when the electrician finally showed up. He replaced the existing outlets and switch (I had a short in the wiring which he fixed) but did not bring any wiring with him to install the additional outlets. He also ran out of time to do that, as he spent a lot of time bragging about himself. When he left, he told me he could do the additional work another time, and gave me HIS PERSONAL business card (not the company he was working for at the time).

We had the supplies so they just did the electrical work. They were polite and efficient.

The work they did was fine. The technician seemed to be a little confused on how the deal worked. They were very responsive and reliable though. They were good workers and I'd consider hiring them again.

I am trying to get some exterior electrical outlets installed and decided since Slingerland Electric always appears on your deals of the day I would give them a try. I sent a message via the Angies list message system on 31 July and still have not received a response. Approximately 10 days ago I decided to message them via their company website and have not received a response either. I understand that I am not looking for a huge job but when your deal mentions outside boxes for a certain price or work performed for 2 hours for a certain price a response from the vendor would be appreciated.

This turned out good. He changed an overhead light that a couple of other people have tried to do. The light had some water damaged and was stuck onto the ceiling. He had to work on it awhile. He did a great job and replaced it with a new overhead light. I was very pleased with that job.When he called about the scope of work, he asked me to go pick out a light fixture that I wanted, which was good. The switch for the overhead light wasn't working after the light was installed, but he did have the correct switch in his truck and he didn't charge me for it. He also changed an outlet that was old and loose. I am very happy with his electrical work and I would really recommend him! He was very friendly and professional. He was here about an hour and a half.

Excellent! They are very accommodating and have great communication. The price was good and they did good work. I had a good experience with the electrician.

We needed the fan connected as part of the contingency for selling our house. I instructed Jim that the fan needed to be connected and that if he needed me for any reason, please give me a call as I work only 5 minutes from the house. The fan was connected, but it was never checked to see if it was working properly. The reason he gave was that the switch was in the apartment and he did not have access to the apartment. I personally did not know the switch was in the apartment, but had he called me as I requested, I would have immediately gone to the house and gave him access. He left me no paperwork regarding the fan so I couldn't even be sure it was done, but I had assumed it was. I didn't know how to turn on the fan, and when the buyers came for a walk thru I was unable to show that the fan worked. When I called Jim, he gave me the necessary details, and I checked the fan and it worked fine. Over all I think his is a reliable company and I would probably use him again. He is easy to get in touch with and his prices are reasonable and he appears knowledgeable. If it wasn't for this one incident, I would probably have rated him higher.
