Description of Work: Installation of new furnace and a/c central air unit. Two workers showed up in the morning around 8:30 am. They removed our 30 year old beast of a furnace and outside a/c unit. They completely installed the new equipment by the end of the day. The return duct work was fully replaced. A new 12- month filter was installed. Our antiquated thermostat was updated to a newer programmable thermostat as well. The workers were professional and polite. They worked steadily throughout the day in order to complete the project. |Pros: |Price - They simply could not be beaten. We had approximately seven estimates done. Rotterdam Heating offered the lowest price. The highest estimate was for just over $11,000. In fairness, competitors offering similar equipment (same brand names and efficiency / seer ratings), were closer in price, but still would have cost nearly $1500 more than Rotterdam Heating for the same equipment and work. The National Grid rebate will be an additional savings that is not included in the price above (A check for $445 is to be expected within about six weeks) |Quality - My experience is that Rotterdam heating has good employees that know their trade. Our new furnace - a 96% efficient Rheem - is working fantastically. The Rheem 13 seer A/C unit will not be tested until Spring. If needed, I am told that a technician will return at no cost to make adjustments as necessary to ensure th A/C is working properly. The new equipment certainly looks as good as I can imagine a furnace should look. Everything is functioning well, as our home heats up considerably faster than it used too, and remains warm without being at full blast %100 of the time . I imagine that our National Grid bill will be noticeably lower this winter. Time will tell. | Cons - A minor one really. We had to wait two weeks for the installers to come do the work. Not necessarily their fault that they are in high demand. My concern would be that if my furnace stops working, I would not be able to get so one out to fix it. My concern may be unfounded, and I truly hope to not have to find out whether it is or is not... It is worth noting that I chose to wait for them because their price was so exceptional. | |Overall - A really positive experience. Great price. Good workers. Fantastic furnace.

Description of Work: Serviced my furnace. This company is great - they called me and told me the service person was on the way. Came on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. |He even offered to go to Home Depot to get me a filter - a company that goes above and beyond. Would recommend them highly and would definitely do business with them again.

Description of Work: I had called them to fix my AC at the start of the cooling season as I was preparing for a visit from Mom...something was going on with the condenser -- their staff came right out and diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately...got the system back on line with in the hour all were happy and cool...thank you Rotterdam Heating and Cooling...
