Drain-Away Sewer and Drain Service

Great. I've had a plumber come a number of times over the years to work on this. It was fixed this afternoon by these guys. Very professional and clever. Our problem was a wine cork in the drum drain! Amazing detective skills!

It went well. Company was easy to reach. They set an appointment and showed up promptly. The technician surveyed the job and quickly got his tools and got to work, clearing the drain in about 5-10 minutes. He then checked surrounding fixtures and made sure all were running well. He did very well. Two items keep this from being a top rated review. 1) where the drain was put back together after servicing, it now has a drip. I should be able to snug the connection and take care of it but leaving a drip should be avoidable. Simply running hot water will usually reveal a leaky drain connection quickly. 2) Neatness - was pretty average for this type of work. In this business, putting down a quick drop cloth would seem to be more professional. Now this (item 2) is picky on my part - most plumbers and drain technicians are not going to be that neat. It would have gotten extra credit though! Overall, this contractor did a great job, about 15% more expensive than the place I usually use (which was unavailable today), but this contractor did a good job and the fact that I could get this fixed on my lunch hour was highly valuable. The company reminded me that I would get 10% off as the call came in through Angie's List.

i contacted the company in the morning. We made an appointment for 2pm and the serviceman Jeremy was right on time. He diagnosed the problem, unclogged the pipes, cleaned up after himself and was on his way by 3pm. I would definitely call this company again if I have any plumbing issues. With his positive attitude and attention to detail, this young man is an asset to his company.

So far so good. No issues to report. The 6 month warranty helps me rest easy!

I called at 6pm and someone showed up within an hour. We had recently had a bathroom installed in our basement, but did not have an access panel installed for the cleanout. We needed to cut a hole in the sheetrock. We also have a Saniflow pump for the basement bathroom that became blocked due to the blockage in the main line. They cleaned that out as well, which was above and beyond what they were originally called out to do. Wound up costing more than we anticipated, but there was more work to be done than we originally thought. They were very professional, brought in additional resources to assist and made sure the job was done.

Richard was informative, courteous, and efficient. The work was quick, and how to prevent it again was explained. It was very inexpensive. Richard also told me it was guaranteed for 6 months! He also explained how to know if the sewer line was included and what could be done then. If I ever have other drainage problems I will call Drain-Away!

Andre and Roy cleaned the pipe and unclogged it within minutes. They were thorough and very respectful.

These folks responded quickly to my call and were on-site within about an hour. The responsiveness was great. They observed the situation and within a minute-or-two had determined the problem. They had the right equipment for the job and withing ten to fifteen minutes had eliminated the clog that was within ten feet of the house. They proceeded to probe further down the line in case a similar issue was growing further down the line. They made sure that all the surrounding are where they were working was well protected. When they finished, they cleaned up the whole area. A job that I expected to take hours took less than one hour. They explained everything they were doing clearly. The price quoted was exactly the price charged - plus they even gave the Angie's List discount without even being asked. Without question, will have them back to help with any other issues.

I was impressed with Drain Away's representative, Andre, He was on time, had a professional manner and most of all had good plumbing skills. He knew what he was doing and didn't make a mess fixing the problem. Andre assessed the problems and corrected it. The price was extremely reasonable for the job done. I had experience with another plumber the week before that obviously didn't have the same skill level as Drain Away. The plumber tried to sell me some elaborate fix. It just did not make any sense to me. In addition there was no initial visit fee or hourly rate with Drain Away, but there was with the plumber who made the kitchen sink worse. I have no problem recommending Drain Away to my clients, family and friends.

There were terrible communications problems, and I was surprised because the first day I called, they came out to look at our problem. On that evening, they were really helpful and generous with their time. I told them that I'd be in touch soon. Between January 26 and March 25, I attempted contacting them many times through Angie's List, phone calls, and email. I received a few responses through email and Angie's List messaging stating that the owners would call me, and whenever I called their number, the nice woman at the other end promised to pass along my messages. I received one reply on my answering machine saying that they would be able to accomplish the job, but when I tried to follow up, I received no responses. Eventually, I gave up. I did send one last message asking why they had not replied to me, and they never responded to that message. Overall, this was disappointing, because when they did stop by on that first evening, they appeared to know their stuff.

Andre was on time as promised. Diagnosed and quickly and cleanly fixed the problem at a price less than expected.

Upon calling, they arrived within 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Once the job was assessed, start to finish was no more than 20 minutes which was fantastic as I had company arriving. Their price was fair and got the job done professionally. Definitely recommended!

I had water and sewage backing up into my basement due to roots in line from my house to main sewer. This has happened several times over the years. They came within 3 hrs of my call and performed the work in about an hour. Andre knew what he was doing and we talked about future maintenance. Responsive and polite on the phone. Easy to diagnose and resolve when they arrived within 24 hours of call. As an engineer, I appreciate being shown what's going on. There was a trainee who came along and the plumber did a great job explaining to him and me what they were doing and why.

Rich Blanchard and his crew at Drain-away were very responsive and put our worries at ease when disaster struck on a holiday of all days! This is our second experience with them for separate issues in our 1940s house. Their team is well-versed in older home plumbing methods and are able to identify and resolve the issue quickly and professionally. Not before long, the job is complete, you may have even learned a thing or two from them, the mess is cleaned up and with a kind smile, they are on their way and life can return to normal. It wasn't an emergency....YET! I let them know that on the phone, but they scheduled me right away anyway. The kid came out on time, was professional and even helped me clean things off my cellar stairs that had been piling up, to be able to fit that monstrous machine down them. My old knees and hips will forever be grateful for that! He did his job and was friendly during the process. I think the price was fair (compared to other companies) and I'd definitely use again and recommend this company to anyone, like myself, afraid to hire a plumber!

It went really well with minimal disruption to the house and yard. The kitchen line required the lion's share of attention due to the pipe run and layout of the fixtures. Each fixture was cleaned and tested. The system works like new.
