The reason for the failure to drain was not found. Based on my description of the problem and the fact I didn’t know where the drain went to, the owner did not guarantee he would be successful. He did not push to do the work and left it up to me if I wanted to try it.

I called late in the afternoon and it only took a couple of hours for them to arrive, which saved me a lot of grief. Everyone was nice and pleasant to deal with. The guys who came out did a great job on getting the blockage out. I definitely will hire them again.

It went well. The first guy came fast. I'd already determined the blockage was more than 50 feet down. The first guy brought a 100' reel and the blockage was beyond that. The boss brought a 120' reel and after linking the reels they cleared the blockage at 170 feet. Gave me a 6 month guarantee. Would hire again.

Richard and his assistant were very professional, respectful and kind. They did the work in a timely fashion and answered all my questions. The lady on the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. They were also the best price. In the past, I have called roto-rooter but they were extremely expensive. In fact, I had delayed calling a professional for many months because I was worried about cost and spent a lot of time and hard work on home remedies (it worked for a while.) The point is, I will call them again without hesitation if I ever have need again.

Late in Friday the receptionist called with the quote I requested.They still have veterans 20% off a reason to try no matter what.On Monday Laurie called me from her home with the flu and the time Richard,the owner would be there.He arrived and completed the job in less than an hour. Called early Saturday morning due to backup in my sewer line. Office answered call on second ring and set up a visit for the early afternoon to assess and fix problem. Richard showed up and identified and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Fast and friendly.

Excellent service from both Lori who answered my call at 7am and James who performed the work. Lori called me ahead to notify me James was on the way and to ask me some questions so that she could give me a discount..James took time to explain why the pipe clogged and also cared enough to ask me if it was ok to wheel the cleaning machine through my kitchen to my laundry room where the pipe was. (it was snowing outside and he was concerned about the floor getting wet). Entire process took about 35 minutes and went very well. James let me know the job is guaranteed for 30 days.

Yesterday, I was faced with my worst nightmare...major plumbing problems on Thanksgiving morning! I woke up to the sound water gurgling through my pipes in the basement. When I went downstairs to investigate, I found that water had backed up and filled my utility sink, there was water on the floor and the grinder pump was running continuously. Not having a regular plumber I had used in the past, I immediately went to Angie's List for help and found Richard's "Drain-Away" service. I called at 6:30 AM on Thanksgiving morning and Richard picked right up (which was amazing by itself!). I explained the situation and he said he would be here in about an hour. He arrived exactly when he said he would and went down to check things out. He determined there was a blockage between the house and the septic tank and said it would be better to clear the blockage from the tank back to the house. We went out back and dug the hole to get to the cover of the septic tank. Once we opened it up, Richard was able to use his snake to clear the line and all was back to normal. I can't thank Richard enough. He was very responsive to my call, arrived when he said he would, and was very reasonably priced. I found the problem at 6:30 AM on Thanksgiving morning and all was fixed by 10:00 AM! I would definitely use Richard again and highly recommend him.

Drain-Away was excellent. They were able to get out to the house the same day even though it was late. They diagnosed a difficult problem and tried multiple solutions, spending a quite a bit of time with me. Their rates were very reasonable and competitive. We were having a big snow storm and I called 6 other Plumbers and all said I had to wait 2 days before they could help me out. The girl on the phone a t Drain-Away was very nice, told me I would have to wait several hours but they would come that day. The guys that came around 7pm were great. Fixed the problem quickly. I was very happy with there service. Will definitely call again and recommend to friends.
