I was quoted a price for two rooms, the person packed up after doing one room. I had to remind him of the second room and he did a rushed job in the second room. This is after charging me for both rooms!

Great price, did great work but we were supposed to have the dog odor removed from the carpets and it was not done that is the reason for the lower rating. Update: Dave called me immediately to help fix the issue in a very timely manner, I was very happy with the results so i updated the stars to 5. Highly recommend this company.

Prompt in responding, Called me set a time and day. Called 1 hour before to confirm appointment for today. Gave me an estimate after looking at the job. We agreed on the price and he started and completed the job. Very professional and neat.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this company. The owner called and did a free estimate over the phone with pictures I sent him. He gave me a low and high price point for the project, which was already a little high, but I needed it done so I agreed. The guy was about two hours late, he didn't have all of the product that he needed (which somehow was my fault), he used inappropriate language, and one of the two seems he put together is already falling apart. After he was done, he handed me a bill for $50 more then I had agreed to with the estimate. Mind you, he was here for 90 mins and charged me $350 (and I provided the carpet and pad). I asked to speak to his boss, who made up some silly reason why I charged more (Home Advisor fees). Afterward, I tried to contact the boss again about the price difference and my concerns and he has not responded or called me back. I would not recommend the Carpet Doctor to anyone, nor will I use Home Advisor again.

The Carpet Doctor ruined my living room sofa and love seat. It turned the cording in both pieces of furniture brown. David Haley, the owner of the Carpet Doctor in Rome, NY, came once to try and clean the cording again after I reported the problem, but had no success. Haley claims that the chemicals his company used may have reacted with the material in the cording. I have had the furniture cleaned before and never had a problem. I have placed 4 phone calls within a 2.5 week period and Haley has not replied. I have no alternative, but to replace the furniture. I do not recommend using David Haley and the Carpet Doctor. Update: 08/01/2020 I just read the response of David Haley to my previous review where I reported that his product discolored the cording and some areas around the cording of two pieces of furniture. He states that we did not call him with an attempt to resolve the issue because he always returns his calls. That is simply not true, because in this case there was never any response from Haley after his crew came to my house after our original complaint. That is despite the fact that his employees said that Haley would respond if we still were not satisfied after the furniture had dried. We phoned him several times after that and left messages on his answering machine, no response. In addition, even assuming that he somehow missed our phone calls, would not it be appropriate to reach out to us directly after reading our post here. it never happened. UPDATED 9-11-2020 My husband and I have reached a satisfactory agreement with David H, The Carpet Doctor.

One of the most professional services I have ever received. The carpets came out looking new.
