Description of Work: I called to find out how much they would charge to fill my AC with R22 freon. I needed about 5lbs. She said $140 a lb. I saw that Grainger and Walmart sold it (to licensed plumbers) for $20 a lb. She also said there was a service charge. This sounds like price gouging to me.

Description of Work: Didn't arrive on scheduled date, didn't call to explain delay. Arrived late after arranging second date. Serviced A/C but refused to wait while I checked to see if the A/C worked, said should call again if anything amiss. Accused our dog of bitting him which was clearly not true. He mearly sniffed his boots.

Description of Work: They cleaned my boiler, but I was being informed too many times that my system was outdated. I wanted them to fizx the problem, or tell me the problem. That was not the answer. Didn't appreciate that, because they should be able to work on all boilers. I appreciate the cleaning through.

Description of Work: Called on Tues, made app't for 3:00 - 6:00 Wed. Showed up at 3:10. THOROUGH! Showed me piece that malfunctioned (capacitor). Spent time so I understood problem. Clean, neat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

 + -1 moreI called Tony around noon today (a very hot Saturday), and told him that we had no a/c in the majority of our house, which runs on one of our two a/c systems. Tony said he'd be here between 4 p.m and 5 p.m., and got here even earlier, with his assistant, Pat. Tony checked everything, and found that the problem was that a circuit breaker in the basement hadn't been turned back on after a power failure that we had a couple of days ago. So he checked the unit a number of times, added a small amount of freon. and said that there was nothing else wrong. Tony certainly could have told us something needed to be replaced, and billed us for an unnecessary repair. But he didn't. He was honest, forthcoming, took the time to explain what had happened, and billed us only for the service call and the freon. He also offered up the Angie's List discount without my even mentioning it. Since Tony came so promptly on a Saturday, it wasn't fair to ask him to deal with the problem upstairs. So he's coming back one morning when he has adequate time. I strongly recommend Deep Freeze Refrigeration. Tony was a pleasure to deal with. He's an honest, capable, fair, and customer-service oriented professional.
Description of Work: Checked a/c compressor, electrical connections, monitored the unit multiple times to ensure it was working, and added freon. He also figured out why we haven't been getting adequate cooling on our second floor, which previous a/c companies never suggested!
