Description of Work: They inspected my furnace to make sure it is in good working order before heating season starts. They advised me that I was missing a filter which I wasn't aware of and where I should place it. The people who installed the unit never advised me where the filter was to be placed and when to replace it. It is actually outside the unit compared to my old heater, which was inside the unit. They were very courteous and good nature about working in a narrow space, quick and efficient. |When I called to make an appointment, it took them a few days to get back to me, but we were able to make an appointment that was suitable for both of us. They were an hour late, but that could have been due the rainy day we had on Saturday. No explanations were given why they were late. Appointment was between 11am and 1pm, they arrived around 2pm. They were quick to get to work when they arrived at my house.

Description of Work: After Pat and Anthony crawled into the attic, they flushed out a clog in the ac unit. They also noted that the pan in the unit was rusting, and that was the cause of the clog. I will have to source a replacement part for this. | |They were very thorough in their explanations and cheerful, considering the ridiculous temps in the attic.

Not only was the problem resolved immediately but the owner cut me a deal and replaced my thermostat. We've since signed a bi-yearly contract with DFreeze to check our heating and central Air

Description of Work: I called to make an appointment to get a quote on converting my house from oil heat to gas heat and also to install central air conditioning. The woman on the call asked me where my house was located. As soon as I said Queens, she said that they are too busy this summer and can't help.

Description of Work: The service could not be done because the transformer was burnt and he could not do the a/c service.

Description of Work: I called Deep Freeze and we set up a work date on Saturday, May 25th for them to clean and tune up our air conditioner. On Wednesday, May 22nd, I called to see what we needed to move, since my husband's desk and computer are in front of the air conditioner. Later that day, the man called back to explain that their company only does large central air conditioning jobs, and I was very disappointed.The company is no doubt a good one, but they should have used the words "central air" somewhere in the copy so customers understood what they were getting. I read the whole description, but not being knowledgable about the inner workings of an air conditioner, I had no idea there was a problem.

Description of Work: They came within the time period they had scheduled and cleaned and tuned up my AC for the summer. The mechanic gave me tips on running it efficiently and did not try to get me to spend extra on more services.

Description of Work: My condensing unit for the 2nd floor central A/C burned out and I was faced with the decision of replacing the condensing unit with an older R-22 unit or replacing the entire system with a 410A refrigerant system. I had decided to use deep freeze- who was very knowledgeable and professional and supplied the best complete system price. I didn't even realize it when I started looking for an A/C contractor, but a friend is a buildings engineer and used to be an A/C specialist. He recommended a fellow that replaced the outside condenser for a very friendly price. But, of the people I had come over to quote this Deep Freeze was the contractor I would have used- in fact if I ever need to replace an entire zone- this is who I would use.

Description of Work: Anthony Corrado & son arrived promptly as scheduled. They completely & thoroughly tuned up my boiler. Every thing was done in a professional manner. All my questions were answered in detail and to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to anybody who needs boiler maintenance or repair.

Description of Work: I continue to work with Tony on an old boiler that's not ready to be replaced. When I have a question or concern, Tony returns calls and provides exceptional advice. I know my steam boiler will have to be replaced and Tony will be the person I will call when it's time.

Description of Work: The zone heat in my home stopped responding to the specific zone thermostat. Called Deep Freeze and they came by several days later. Pretty punctual on a weekend. Troubleshoot the area but was not completely definitive about what would ultimately be the problem. We had another zone valve replaced a year ago and it was basically the same problem. We had already ordered the part before he came by to look at the system. We ended up taking a picture of all the wiring and changing it ourselves. It worked.
