There was a 3-4 week window to get the work done before moving in & the entire job was done to our satisfaction. Clean up and attention to detail were commendable.

My dishwasher leaked and damaged the flooring and I needed to replace approximately 400 square foot area of flooring in my kitchen. I've had 3 contractors and two floor people before Cliff came. Cliff was the only one who thought my flooring was vinyl (as a flooring expert I thought he would have known that my floor in fact was linoleum.) He was one of two carpet people who didn't recognize that the linoleum flooring was on top of existing vinyl flooring. He also stated he would work in the budget of the insurance money I was going to receive. It made me wary that he would cut corners to be around the insurance money amount. Additionally, he did not have many samples of the type of flooring I was looking for (luxury vinyl tiles) and the samples were tiny squares. He mostly brought out simulated wood grain products which I wasn't interested in. Since I had water damaged, I wanted to remove the vinyl layer and luan and put in new luan before the luxury vinyl tile was installed. He said he hadn't done it in a year and sounded unsure. (I didn't feel confident he could do the job.

Had Cliff out a year ago to do an estimate for hardwoods but decided to just re-carpet our living room for now, which was in terrible condition when we moved into our home a year ago. He came over to measure the room and showed us a great assortment of samples in different price ranges. He was back as soon as the carpet came in and was in and out with his coworker in two hours. The estimate stayed exactly the same. The carpet looks beautiful, even with the strange shape of our living room. Cliff was professional and a nice guy, too. We will be calling him again when we are ready to do the rest of our floors.

Cliff did a great job installing the carpet and was the lowest cost by far out of 5 bids. He came back today to stretch the carpet and only charged us $35. We plan to have Cliff install carpets in three more rooms this year an expect he will do his usual high quality work. We highly recommend Cliff for your flooring work.

Called for an estimate, he came out the next day and gave me a quote. We agreed on a price, Cliff ordered the carpet we selected and installed it the following week.

We found Cliff's company here on Angie's List, and included his company's quote along with the other quotes we had solicited. In the end, we selected Cliff based on the broad selection of flooring he provided, the competitive and fair price that he quoted, and the very positive reviews from other Angie's List members. Cliff and Jason were very punctual when arriving on-site to perform the work, and established realistic milestones with regard to how long each room would take to complete. They had no problem moving the existing furniture in order to perform their work, and made sure that our sectionals were re-attached correctly when moving them back into position. They took care of any squeaky sub-floor boards that were encountered during installation (using screws instead of nails!), and were happy to accommodate a last minute request to replace our existing floor molding with new pieces. Overall, we are very pleased with the work they did, as well as how nice the flooring looks! The Quick-Step Rustique line that we chose has an edge and visual that is a very convincing substitute for real wood.

Cliff came out to our house with samples, and to exactly measure the space for us. When my wife and I were still undecided on the type of carpet we wanted, we went to his showroom, and he personally showed us around and gave advice until we had made a decision. He was also very punctual and did a fantastic job. We went to one other showroom besides his, and the prices weren't even close. We went with a mid-range, very nice carpet, and this was less expensive than the cheapest stuff at another popular carpet store in the Rochester area. Would definitely hire again.

GREAT! Cliff arrived on time with another installer. They moved the beds, dressers, etc. that we were unable to move. They removed the old carpeting and padding, bundled it and brought it to the curb for trash pickup. We are very pleased with the quality of the padding and carpet we purchased. He did a great job, he removed the old carpet so we could save a piece and have it bound. Ordered molding to match my kitchen flooring and installed everything within a timely matter.

It went extremely well from the first moment they arrived exactly on time!! Wow! that was impressive! And greatly appreciated I might add. Cliff and Jason were professional, courteous, knowledgeble and helpful. They did an excellent job stretching my carpet! I will definitely recommend them and contact them again for future work. I also will go to their establishment to buy my next carpeting. Can't say enough positive about my experience!

They were very prompt. They came at about 9 a.m. They put a brand new pad in, they put the carpet in, and it was all done by 10:15. Cliff came out and moved a large dresser, he did the vacuum cleaning, and then moved furniture back in there. If he hadn't come over and helped me out it would have taken all day on my own. The workmanship was excellent. The price was extraordinary and extremely fair. Because he did such a good job, I told him that next year I'll give him a call for some flooring.

Start to finish less than 2 weeks to have the work done. Cliff reviewed our needs and budget and made several suggestions on best options for us as well as suggested some upgrades. We did end up spending more for a higher quality carpet but worth every penny. We had previous install done by a big box store and every single room had massive wrinkles so we did not want to go back there. I think we saved around $500 and got a better job done. Cliff and crew also fixed the bad install job the other guys had done. Start to finish less than 4 hours plus they help move the furniture which was a big help. Note that cliff does not haul away the old carpet, but was easy taken care of by our trash service. Looks great, when we redo the rest of the house if will definitely call cliff!

Cliff and a helper worked efficiently, professionally, and most importantly did a great job! The re-stretched carpet looks great and I would definitely work with them again.

He and his associate arrived promptly and proceeded to remove the carpet quickly and efficiently being careful of the hardwood floors underneath. They neatly bundled the carpet and debris and placed at the curb. They then swept the room clean. While working, Cliff was very professional, friendly and informative on flooring issues. I would definitely feel very comfortable calling Cliff for future flooring needs or recommending him to others whether it be for carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl or repairs.

This is an exemplary company. Cliff came out to the house with many carpet samples. He was not the least bit annoyed when I changed my mind about which carpet I wanted (after he had already written up the contract). The crew that came to the house was polite, professional and set right to work. They cleaned up everything that needed cleaning after they were done. The end result? We were originally shopping for carpet at Home Depot- I'm so glad I decided to look on Angie's list for another quote! Cliff was able to come out for an estimate very quickly and was a pleasure to work with. We saved a considerable amount and still ended up with high-quality carpeting- soft, stain proof and green-certified. We love our new carpet! We got three quotes, and were so happy with our purchase from Cliff Kemp. He wasn't the best price, but we felt comfortable with him when he visited our house to give us a quote, make recommendations and talk us through what he thought was a good carpet to use. We needed carpet installed in a new rental property before our tenant moved in and Cliff was very accomodating in ordering and installing the carpet to meet our schedule.
