I chose Todd Fritz because of the reviews on Angie's List and I wasn't disappointed. The estimate was done fast and Todd Fritz answered all my questions in a timely manner. The work was completed as scheduled and finished in one day! The men cleaned up nicely and my roof turned out beautiful! It was a pleasure to work with Todd Fritz and his crew.

I chose Todd Fritz Inc. based on Angie's list reviews. I'm glad I did because everything went great! Todd as a professional was responsive from the start. I contacted him online through Angie's list and heard from him shortly after. He made a prompt visit to inspect my roof and gutter issue. I was pleased with his inspection given that he actually went up on the roof to examine it. He wrote up an estimate that I found agreeable, so I hired him. He spent time explaining the roofing product and system he uses. A couple hours later, he had color samples delivered. Two weeks later, in the course of 2 days, my roof project was completed. Gutters were installed on day three. I'm delighted to have the gutter issue corrected with installation of 6and quot; aluminum gutters that replace 4and quot; ones that overflowed with rainstorms. The crew cleaned up beautifully on all days. The roof looks wonderful! Communication wise, within a week after the roof was installed, I received the GAF warranty. Tood was great about emailing and calling to answer any questions. My overall experience working with Todd Fritz Inc, was excellent!

We were referred to Todd Fritz from a friend who is very particular and highly recommended this company. We figured that if HE liked the work, it must be great. We were not disappointed! The whole thing went off without a hitch from beginning to end. Estimate was done in a timely fashion. I did call to ask a question at one point between the estimate and the actual job, and it was returned promptly and my question answered.The crews cleaned up nicely both days they were there. And i was most pleasantly surprised that the final cost came out to be exactly what was quoted, even though a few more boards needed to be replaced than was originally thought. All in all, it was a great experience and i have and will continue to recommend this company to family and friends!

Called Todd Fritz to request an estimate for a complete tear-off roof replacement in third week of March 2014. After a week of no reply, called again. I received a call back 2 days later from their rep, John, which went to my phone mail....called him back same day, left message, and he responded that he would call me next day. No call came the next day. Called back to them next day and left message about roof estimate. Received a phone mail reply that he would call me next day to discuss. Three days later still have not heard from them...now April 10th. Was referred to this company by a friend who is in construction business and had heard good things about their work. They may well do good work, but their sales/estimate operation leaves a lot to be desired. I had better responsiveness and prompt estimates from two other Angie's List companies for this job and will go with one of them...for a $10K+ roofing job.

Todd Fritz was recommended to us by a friend. The crew did an excellent job of reroofing our house, as far as I can tell, despite working in February. They waited until the weather was above freezing, which made sense to us though it did cause some uncertainty about exactly when they were coming until they confirmed with us a day or two before. Once they arrived the crew worked steadily and seemed knowledgeable, and took precautions to prevent property damage. The job took two days - one day for tear-off and putting on the base layer, and another day for shingling. The crew cleaned up well each day before leaving. (They didn't warn us that some old roofing materials would fall into our attic during the tear-off once the ridge vent was removed, probably because many houses no longer have accessible attics, but we anticipated this problem and put down some drop cloths.) When the job was finished there was no trash left other than some tiny fragments of shingle buried in the snow piles, that we only noticed after the snow melted. After this reroofing we are going to have solar panels installed, so at our request the Todd Fritz folks coordinated with a solar panel crew that installed and quot;feetand quot; for the solar panel racks on the new roof base layer before the shingles were installed. Coordinating with the second crew was probably a bit of nuisance for the Todd Fritz folks, but they were very agreeable and helpful about it. Immediately after the job was done, the Todd Fritz staff submitted our warranty information to GAF (the roofing supplies manufacturer), and we received the written GAF roof warranty in the mail within a week or two after that. We definitely recommend Todd Fritz, Inc. for your roofing job.

The workers were punctual, knowledgeable about the job to be done and the roofing industry itself. They cleaned up great and did a really good job installing a new roof and gutter system that has worked well to stop our previous ice damming issues. They will be doing more work on our garage roof in the spring.

So, the work gets an A and why we would call them again. Communication was very poor though -- hard to reach them, find out if the job was going to happen this year etc. Would call and get receptionist who didn't know anything and then it could be days before a call back. Overall good value, but given that our old roof was beginning to leak and we were unsure if it would get done before summer, the whole process was more stressful than it needed to be. I'd recommend to them that they get the main phone contact people more trained and more able to handle calls.

Angies list report: I asked 6 roofers for estimates. Todd Fritz was the first to schedule an estimate. Others took up to two weeks to come, call and even give me an estimate. One roofer didnt use dumpsers. He wanted to park and old dumptruck in my front yard. Bye bye! Some wanted to use cheap roll ashphalt roofing on my flat deck. Bye bye! Todd Fritz was the first to respond. His estimate was not the least expensive. Todd Fritz Inc. is crertified in use of the best quality GAF materials. His estimate package was extremely professional. Some contracers just sent impersonal emails! Todds package had pictures and descripions of the materials and the entire processes. He uses only the best GAF materials. The dumpster (from Boon inc.) arrived on time and was gone the very same day they finished. Workmen were extremely courteous and well organized. They cleaned all gutters even though there was leaf debis in some before they got there. Todd Fritz came and personally approved the final inspection. The work went a little over the original estimate because of more rotten deck than expected. Mr. Fritz generously offered to split the difference of the overages which we both agreed. 10 year guarantee on workmanship 50 year guarantee on materials. (transfrerable) I cant be happier. You may use this for a reference.

Roof was done 6.5 years ago. Job was performed professionally, on time, and in one day as promised. Price quote was what was billed. After almost 7 years I have had no issues with the work performed.

They did an excellent job, completing in roof in only one day, good cleanup.

It was great. They cleaned up at the end of the day. They were very conscientious of the proximity of our neighbors and of our experience. They were one of the lowest estimates we got.

Todd got up on our roof to inspect it. He was very honest, explaining that the main roof definitely needed to be replaced, but the other 2 levels were in better shape and could wait. We choose to do only the main roof this year and the other 2 levels sometime in the near future. The work was started on time and was done in one day. They even did a few little repair jobs for us on the other roof levels and put a ridgevent on the garage. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. We feel they were professional, affordable, honest, they did a great job. We definitely will hire them again.

It went awesome! At the estimate, Todd was one of the very few estimators that got on the roof AND the only one to take a look into my attic. He was down to earth and professional. His crew arrived ON TIME, prepped the whole house and property and payed attention to detail making sure nothing would get damaged. They worked fast and in 2 days. I had a brand new roof, property was clean, and the roof, including the area where we had a leak, is better than new! Todd was the only contractor to throw in sheets of plywood and pine board into the estimate FOR FREE!!. I'l leaving my Todd Fritz sign up for as long as I can to advertise for them. He's that good. Oh BTW, the only estimate I got that was less expensive was an independent contractor who had a beat up old pick-up and was a real dirt bag. Thanks Todd and crew!

We were very happy with the job they did. Right on time, fast and careful. Very responsive with a couple small problems about the gutter guards. Would recommend them highly.

Todd said he would have his crew to my home on a certain day and they were. Crew was at my home at 7:30 ready to go and roof was finished on time and the area was cleaned up looked better than before. Fritz was not the lowest price but the best person to deal with. I had four contractors come to the house, two never got up on the roof and one took over a week to give me a estimate. Fritz did it all in a matter of half hour or less, and also did a great job.

Owner came for estimate and was was one of two out of 6 estimates to go up on the roof. Not the cheapest but was very reasonable. Uses a good product and the installation was professionally installed. Called and gave notice of when the job would start, Was completed as quoted and I am very pleased with the finished job.

Excellent. Todd and his company arranged for everything: the dumpster to remove old roof, and new roof materials as well as other products needed for my job. Once on site, they performed the work quickly and neatly. The finished product looks great. I felt comfortable with the idea that I was working directly with Todd to choose the roof materials, get the right color, discuss warranty, answer my questions, and arrange the schedule. Todd was very friendly and knowledgeable about roofing and addressed all of my concerns. Beyond that, his pricing is very reasonable. I called him because of his excellent word of mouth reputation, and I felt comfortable choosing his company based on his professionalism and thoroughness after meeting with him.

We received an estimate from Mr. Fritz and his estimate was VERYcompetitive based on three others we received. He was very responsive and professional in supplying the estimate. However, we decided to go with someone else based on a slightly lower price and similar ratings.

We asked that they not do it in the rain and they did not; they waited for a sunny, warm day. They did the entire roof in two days; but when they left they tarped what had not been done so that the roof would be protected if it did rain. When they threw everything away; it all got tossed into tarps. Everything, including my bushes and landscaping had all been covered up. When they were all done they had this magic rolling machine that was magnetic which they used to pick up any left over roofing nails from my entire yard. They got as much stuff as they could; that little machine was great. We set up a time that looked like a good weather window and they were here bright and early. They had a huge crew; there must have been five or six of them and they got it done lickety-split. They were good and they cleaned up. We got a couple of other quotes for this job and their price was in the ballpark with everybody else.

This is the letter I sent to them with my check: and quot;Our experience with you was ok but we feel we need to let you know of some misgivings we had. Our relationship started out on a great note. Our first phone call for a quote was met with fast, courteous service. The morning your rep was to come to our house, meet with my husband [who was coming home from work to meet you] and get an understanding of what we needed, he came early (an hour). On the face, that seems pretty harmless. I was still home so I walked outside and met him and showed him around the house and the garage. In retrospect, we wish he had actually met with my husband as he had met with the other contractors we had bid on this job. This would have given both men the opportunity to explore in more detail about what he wanted to have done. We got the quotes, and based on price and reviews on Angie’s List we went with your company. My husband signed and faxed the contract to you on September 1, 2012. Then we heard nothing. My husband called at least 4-5 times to see when we could be scheduled. He did get a few calls back but always with the message that we weren’t booked yet. Finally we were told we were booked on Monday, October 22. r The first day the front of the main house was completed. There was light rain in the forecast for the next day but we were told that light rain was not a problem. We woke up to pouring rain and it poured all day. When we got home that afternoon there was a tarp on the back half of the house where the shingles had been removed the day before [the tarp was put on after it had poured all night]. That evening my daughter found a wet spot on the carpet in her room and we discovered there had been leakage along the back of the roof where the shingles had been removed but not yet replaced. We also found water dripping out of our smoke detector. We called that night and left a message with the service and the next morning someone came in to see the extent of the leak. He entered our attic and seemed a bit surprised at the amount of water but said he was not concerned. Is it typical to remove shingles and leave a roof that only has the first layer of protection [some sort of special paper]open to the elements all night? The rest of the week was on/off light rain and we never knew when anybody would be there. In retrospect, I should have called to voice my concerns. I have a daughter that gets off the bus a few minutes before my husband gets home from work. It was disconcerting to her to never know if there would be workmen working on the house. In fact, I hope this is the last roof I ever have to have put on a house. I found the entire event (which lasted much longer than is probably typical due to the weather) a complete invasion of privacy. What made it worse was never knowing when people would be showing up. On the last day of the job my husband was in the shower and without notice there were 4 guys on our flat roof replacing/repairing siding with easy viewing access to our upstairs. They just showed up and went to work on the roof. A knock on the door to let us know they were there would have been helpful. The weekend prior to the hurricane was also an issue. The predictions were dire but we really heard nothing from you guys. On Sunday [the day before the storm hit], your flat roof sub-contractor stopped by to move materials he had left on the roof so they would not blow away. (my husband really liked this guy, by the way. ) Siding that had been removed was left on the ground. The night the storm hit my husband and I were up on our flat roof at 10:30 at night in high winds and driving rain trying to reinforce the siding that was being ripped off our house. We also had to gather the pieces of siding that had blown across our driveway and secure them in the garage. Lastly, it would have been helpful to know that our entire driveway would be commandeered for over a week. We live on a busy road and do not feel comfortable parking our cars on the road. Having a large dumpster there makes sense but not sure why the rest of the driveway was taken up with your trailer. Again, communication ahead of time would have made this at least expected. It’s not your fault that we got hit by a hurricane during this job. But we really felt there was no communication keeping us informed of progress and even daily arrivals. Your workers were always respectful but certainly not very communicative. For a job like this, what do I as a consumer have to judge your work by? I know nothing of roofs so I can’t climb up on the roof and assess your workmanship. What I can comment on are my interactions with your company and the workers themselves. We just never felt like we were included in the work being done on our house. We just lived here and people would randomly show up and start banging on our house. None of these things are horrible. Really. But when someone asks us about our experience we don’t feel we can say glowing things about your company.and quot;

The job went well. A few exceptions: They added roof ridge vents and much debris landed in our attic - will need cleaning (not a major problem). Some of the followup was a little slow but the job was completed.

It took about 3 days. The crew was VERY nice and professional. Considerate. I had called another company, with (mostly) good ratings on this site, and the gentleman was a condescending salesman. Todd Fritz was genuine. Felt honest. They were the only company in which one of the owners came out himself and even went up on our old roof to look at it and see if it could be preserved. I am sure they are not the cheapest around but I felt they were reasonable and it was done right!!! I have already recommended them to friends and would call them again for sure. No hesitation here. Grateful it was all so easy and done well.

Two people recommended this company to me so i decided to call them for an estimate. They never returned my phone calls.

The estimated cost was thousands less that the others I had. However, when I tried to follow up I absolutely couldnot contact anyone in this company again. I had the company phone number and the estimator / salesman’s cell. I called these and left messages for two weeks and never received a call back. Also left messages at the company answering service asking for anyone at Todd Fritz to please call me. Never heard from them. So eventually I gave up and assumed a mistake was made in the estimate and they were afraid I’d hold them to it. Strange
