+ 0 moreThey did a great job and they were very fast. They were able to get my drains unclogged. They came right out. They did a great job and they got it taken care of. They also gave us options on doing things in the future as well so they were very good.
Description of Work: They cleaned some clogged drains in my house. They had to snake the drain all the way to the outside because I had water backup in my basement.

+ 0 moreMy initial call to Roto-Rooter was answered with a same day visit. The Roto-Rooter personnel that supported me were Joe, who did the initial cabling, Chris, who did an initial assessment of the excavation required, and Derrick, who dug the hole and laid the additional pipe. Each individual was very professional and pleasant. Joe and Derrick performed the work on very hot and humid days. Derrick worked with me to minimize the disruption to my property. I appreciated the prompt handling of my problem and would recommend Roto-Rooter to others.
Description of Work: During hard rainstorms, water came up from the drain in the middle of my garage floor and flooded the garage floor. This indicated either a breakage or clog in the lateral drainage pipe. The pipes were cabled to and from the garage by Joe from Roto-Rooter and the problem was isolated to an area off the rear corner of the garage. The pipe had been narrowed and the end was buried in the ground. The area was hand dug up by Derrick and additional pipe was extended so that the end would be exposed; resolving the problem.

Description of Work: Roto-Rooter Plumbers 7/6/10 We had a new kitchen installed and needed the to install the new faucet, sink drains, disposal and under sink plumbing. We installed the disposal and faucet, but despite how much we tried we could not get the correct pipe configuration. We made numerous trips to Home Depot to get parts, but there was always a gap in the line. After a 4th of July camping trip, we came home with lots of dirty dishes to a messy kitchen that could not be used. We called numerous plumbers but no one could come out right away. Roto-Rooter could and were here within an hour. Connections were made correctly and I can now clean our kitchen and dirty dishes. I can finally use my new kitchen and see how it looks organized and clean!!!

+ 0 moreIt went very well-the drain was cleaned out over about an hour and he found out what the problem was. Most of the flood went back down the drain. He gave me advice about how to clean up the rest of the floor(hose and bleach) and some root killer to put down the drain also, as this was part of the issue. The final price was exactly as quoted.
Description of Work: At 1:30 Saturday afternoon , I went down in the basement to find half of it flooded with sewage water and feces, which was backing up through a drain pipe in the floor. My plumber had no emergency services available and recommended I call Roto- Rooter. The dispatcher on the phone promised to have someone there within an hour. By 2pm,less than half an hour later, I had a smiling plumber at my house who assured me he could take care of the problem and quoted me the fee with tax.

+ -1 moreMy experience with them was that they were way overpriced. The work they did was so much shoddy and the replacement parts that they have put in have since worn out. They had to be replaced in less than 3 years and it was ridiculous. It was a poor job.

+ -1 moreThe sink in the laundry room backed up with water from the washing machine. It overflowed (quite the flood). I tried to take apart the pipes but some were plastic and they are glued so they broke. Called roto-rooter on Monday, they set up an appointment for Tuesday and they came and fixed the problem.

Description of Work: Installed copper hot and cold water pipes in a gutted laundry room for the washer and the laundry sink, and mounted the valves and spigots.

When he was finished, he placed the roots into a garbage bag for me, and suggested how I should clean up the basement floor. I placed the original call at 7:30 am, and was into work by 11:00 am.
Description of Work: Dan came within 1/2 hour of original call to the company. He promptly assessed the situation and gave me an estimate for cleaning out the basement drain.

+ 0 moreOverall, I was very happy with the work. They were able to come within the hour (sooner than anyone else I called), and the work took only about half an hour. The man who did the work was courteous and explained what he thought the problem was so we could avoid it again. I thought the price was high, but it was similar to other quotes, so I think it was fair. They did not charge extra for coming on a weekend evening.
Description of Work: Roto-rooter came to my house over a holiday weekend to clear a clog in the sewer main.

+ -1 moreWe woke up one morning to a clogged bathroom drain. We called Roto-Rooter and they got here within two hours and got it unclogged fairly quickly. They explained everything they did and gave us a six-month guarantee. It was very good service.
Description of Work: The drain where the sink and shower drains come together was plugged up. Roto-Rooter snaked through the drain to unclog it.

+ -1 moreMy husband told me that the man who came out to unclog our toilet seemed irritated by the questions my husband was asking him. He was not gracious toward us at all. He just had a bad attitude. I'd use Roto-Rooter again if I got a different plumber, although they are still expensive.
