Rochester Glass Block

The workman showed up about 915am (was told between 9 & 930am) and finished about 130pm. The guy had obviously been through many such installations before because there were few wasted motions and he was always in motion. No phone time that I saw. The final job very neat with a very thorough and neat mortar job. He left the worksite the way he found it. I can't imagine how the service might have been improved upon.

The gentleman that came to do my basement windows were very professional and polite. They came late but called me several times to let me know what time they would be here. It was not a problem at all as I know the recent rain we had put things behind. Would definitely hire them again. Even my neighbor came over and set up an appointment with them for his windows.

It was OK. I had a fantastic experience several years ago with the company for the same service on a former house. I was hoping for a repeat performance. This job left a bit to be desired.

They did an excellent job and one thing I found super was that they cleaned up after themselves. The guys were very friendly, they were willing to answer any questions we had about the windows and they gave us options to go with and they didn't try to push a particular one.

The new windows look great! The installer was very professional and made sure that everything was cleaned up when he finished.

It was okay. I had one guy come out which I guess now we need one guy to do that but those windows are really heavy, so, I mean, I guess that’s okay. The price was good. He came in the time he said but I have to wait a little.

It went excellent with Rochester Glass Block. In a couple of hours the windows were beautiful. The worker was wonderful, their quality of work is excellent, he cleaned up. He was just good. It was worth every penny. Rochester Glass Block were wonderful. They came out, they did an estimate, scheduled, the worker came, and within a couple of hours it was all done. They were wonderful to work with. Both the sales quote representative and the worker were wonderful. They are priced the same as everybody else but they are highly recommended by other people. Their price is affordable and competitive and I have recommended them to friends.

The estimate and services were all provided promptly and in a very professional manner. They had to reschedule the work one time because of incredibly low outdoor temperatures, but that mother nature's fault, not theirs! And in that case, they let us know in advance and rescheduled as quickly as the weather would allow. For some reason, the previous owner of our home had installed glass block in some of the windows but not others. Rochester Glass Block did a great job of matching the existing work! They also cleaned up nicely after themselves. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat if we ever need more glass block!

The job went perfectly: they came out and measured the two windows, quoted me a price that was reasonable, and which included all the prep work and some rebuilding of the old frames. I went with them because they were quick to respond to my query; they offer colored glass blocks that no one seems to have; and were professional and had excellent references. The work was done on time, in short order, and the finished windows look terrific: I'm incredibly happy with the colored glass blocks in the hall window--it's like having stained glass in the house. Everything was immaculate when they left, and I would not hesitate to recommend this local company to anyone.

They did a great job. The windows look nice and clean. They cleaned everything up and took the old windows away. They also put the dryer vents in too. They were also very nice and it took them less than an hour. Two employees came out to do this for me.

They were great. They were in and out and left no trace other than the work they had done. Two employees came out and it took them about an hour and a half. They replaced 3 old single pain basement windows with glass block. They 2 were stationary block glass windows and 1 was vented. We had estimates from other provides and this company had the best price. I live in a town house/condo complex and they have done work in other homes, everyone was pleased so one of the condo complex owners recommended them to us. Due to their service, the basement fells warmer. The new glass block windows stopped the draft and the quantity of spiders have seemed to diminish.

The service was great! The feedback was great. They came when they said they would and came out quickly. The job was good quality and they cleaned up well. I wished Angie's List would let me give them an A+.

I felt more secure after they were finished. They also explained how to use them, my basement is warmer and I have not had any issues since either. I would use them again and I have recommend them to friends.

The service turned out good. I would recommended them to others. They put in about 4 glass block windows as well as a window with a dryer vent too. They also did my father in laws home on the same day. They were reasonably priced. They were clean and did not leave a mess either. They were in and out and provided a very quick service. They were also considerate of my flower beds in front of my windows too.

Jim & his son arrived on time and were very efficient with old window removal and installation. They cleaned up & you'd never know they were here!

It went very well for us, despite problems that Jeff the installer encountered (thunderstorms, one window only available via a crawlspace, and an electrical conduit that was in the way of the final window installation). It just so happened that we had Canal Town Electric (an Angie's List company) was stopping by to give us an estimate. Canal Town did emergency work for us to find 5 inches of slack so Jeff could complete the glass block job. We are thrilled with the job Jeff did. The one obstructed window could not be finished from the outside (unreachable), so Jeff promised to return and put a smooth finish on the outside cement at no charge if we ever remove the steps blocking access to put on a deck. We were totally satisfied with the workmanship, but were impressed by the professionalism indicated by the wish to do a perfect job. We are return customers,having used Rochester Glass Block over 10 years ago to do the first 3 basement windows.

They were very, very responsive right from the very first phone call to the installation. I was having issues with another vendor getting the work done. I called Rochester Glass Block. Within days I had a home visit with samples and a quote on the spot. They came out to do the work on "Christmas Eve". Unbelievable. I was so very impressed and shocked that they worked on the day before the Christmas holiday. I was in a hurry to get them done as I had waited forever on that other vendor. The installation went so smoothly. The gentleman was professional and very neat. All of his materials including my old windows were removed and the outside areas around the windows were clear. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for glass block windows.

I called for a quote on the project and received a response from Jim the same day. I provided the rough opening measurements, he provided the pricing, and we agreed to complete the project in a few weeks. A few weeks later Jim showed up and completed the project according to the estimated time frame he provided. The windows look great and the new vents have proved useful. I already have plans to use Rochester Glass Block again.

They were excellent. I went there and told them what I wanted and if it was possible and in a very quick time, they sent somebody out and installed them shortly after. It was reasonable, it was a great price, and it was a lot less than I thought I would have to spend. They were very professional. The gentleman who installed them, did it within three hours and was very neat. He picked up after himself and did a very nice job.

Jim, their Commercial/Residential Sales expert came out to the job site on a few occasions to discuss my renovation plans. I was having a hard time finding a General Contractor to do the job and see my vision. When I finally made my decision, Jim came back out and I placed my order for the window. Jim decided "he would handle this job himself". He timed the removal of the old glass block with the day of the bath demo. My house was saved by not having all the debris dragged through it. Jim returned that evening to put up plywood to close up the space. The window came in on schedule. Jim came out with a helper and installed the new window and vent. The job site was left in perfect condition. We had to make an adjustment due to the shower enclosure and Jim was right there to make the change. The whole job was handled in a professional and courteous manner and I would use this company again.

They arrived on date of estimate promptly. Explain the work in detail and gave a quote in writing. Then set a date for the work. On the scheduled date they arrived at a reasonable time and completed the work. Cleaned up and removed all old windows from the property.
