Rochester Glass Block

The installers showed up on time, were professional, did an excellent installation job, and answered all my questions. Kudos to Alexis Angulo! Thank you for a great job! I would have Rochester Glass Block Company again for window installations.

The project manager and the crew were very professional, answered all my questions to my satisfaction and gave all the discounts even before I asked. The finished work was good quality and they cleaned up after themselves pretty well. I would definitely recommend and hire again.

On 8/6/18 I met with the Residential Sales agent who left a completed contract for my review, signature and to be mailed with a check for the required deposit. On 8/10/18 I mailed the signed contract and check. Between 8/16 - 8/27/18 I left phone messages and sent emails requesting confirmation of receipt of the contract and check with no response. On 8/27 I left a final phone message canceling my order and advising that a stop payment had been placed on the check. I received a phone message two days later apologizing because they "were really busy with customers". Apparently I wasn't considered as a customer, nor will I ever be one!!

After signing the contract at the end of April, sending deposit for 1/2 cost of the job, we were told they were working 2-3 weeks out. We waited until the end of May to call, left multiple messages with NO response back. Finally, I went online and submitted a request for an estimate. Only then did we get a call on 6/15. I had documented all the calls made and received many apologies. The job was then scheduled and thankfully completed. The installer was professional and did a good job. We like the window but the communication failure would lead me to never use them again.

They did an awesome job. We didn't stay down there with them. We just liked the fact that they could take out the window and put another window in for us because we couldn't do it. That's what they get paid to do. The guy came over for a quote because my husband wanted a bigger window. They weren't here that long, maybe 4-5 hours. They were around the same prices as everywhere else we checked. The quality was excellent. We haven't had any problems. They were really responsive. They were here within a week after the quote.

Came on time went right to work. Window fit easily so the job went fast. Obviously knew what he was doing. I think it was a good price especially for 1 window. Many will not bother for such a small job.

Very well. Installer was prompt and courteous. Worked efficiently and carefully. When it proved necessary to trim a shrub in order to proceed with removal of the old window, he verified this was acceptable before proceeding and only removed minimal amount.

They left plastic on the outsude under deck had to come back. Worker came back when we weren't home. I accidently left the back door open. The worker called and said he was st the house snd is going in. Tolf him no. He kept on insisting he was going in. I told him no. 20 mintes called me back said the work was done I became angry He said grandson let him in. When I got home mt grandson found the worker walking down the hall towards the bedroom. My grandson yelled who are u. He said he was there to fix the window and needed to know where the basement was. He was there the day before and knew the basement door was next to the hsrage. Not through my home. I called the owner. I cslled 10 times He gor back to me the next day snd said thete are two sides to the story. I called the police eho cslled this young worker.. the owner apparently didn't care for he needed a eorker. Still hadn't cslled me znd it's been three weeks.

Two men came. After running the dyer that night water was drippibg. The men forgot to remove the plastic from the window u nDer the deck. I called and told the owner that we would not be home utility three that day. His men came at one. He called and said my back door was unlocked. I ordered him not to enter my home un til we get there. He said he was there anyways. I told him to knock on the door to wake up adult grandson Shortly after the men called and said the hob was done. He said grandson let him in. When we arrived home my hands on said he was sleeping and heard someone walking down the hallway outside how and My bedroom door. My grandson yelled and told him to get the **** out of his housr. He claimed he was,looking for the basement. Near the back door where he spent the entire day the day before. He was Wali g through my hoyse. The owner I called 10 times. Kept on texting me he was out of town. Nothing was ever done. Owner is irresponsible . I would never hire again or recommend this company

Thanks to Don and his team from Rochester Glass Block!! Rochester Glass Block is a pretty big, well known, and respected company in our town. Our contractor actually told us that he could not put in glass block windows cheaper than Rochester Glass Block. With that said, we reached out to Rochester Glass Block for a quote. They beat the 3 other quotes we received (one quote was approximately 185 dollars more). One thing we really appreciated was that, even though our job was relatively small, Don spent a great deal of time with us. He helped us design specially sized windows that give us tons of natural light in the basement without compromising the structural of the house's foundation. The install was super fast and the windows look fantastic. The bottom line is this: if you are considering adding glass block to your home and you want :warrantied work, personalized service, a quality install, and a solid price then you should call Rochester Glass Block. We would not hesitate to recommend R.G.B to friends or family!!

The service was performed professionally and at the appointed time. I had some difficulty requesting the appointment by online message. I suggest calling the listed number and speaking to them directly. Once I got through, the appointment and work was performed promptly.

I purchased a Big Deal and I felt that it was a bait switch. The price doubled once he did the measurements on my windows. This was not a deal and he informed me that he actually lost the order as well.

The installer was prompt, efficient and very professional. He installed five window by himself in 2 1/2 hours, excellent!!

The cost of the job, on an Angie's List "special offer", was comparable to other offers I have seen in local ads. The company was contacted to make an appointment for the estimator. He came out to measure the windows and have papers signed. He then scheduled the work to be done about a week later. The installer arrived as scheduled, and finished the installation quickly. The glass block windows look great. The dryer vent pipe seems a little flimsy, but we got the vent hooked up pretty easily.

called them for a broken basement window repair/replace and was told they don't service my area, but they called back again the following week to set up an appointment to come out. The gentleman showed me some choices for replacing my broken basement window and I chose a clear glass block with .vent. Two weeks later they came out to install. They were prompt, professional and had it all done in less than a couple of hours. One worked outside while the other worked from inside, and when done you couldn't tell they had been there. All was cleaned up without a trace, no damage to landscaping, etc.. Very nice job with a 25 year warranty on the windows. If I ever need glass block in another home I will call them for sure.

The only difficulty was getting through by phone to arrange for an estimate. After that, everything went very well.

I called 3 companies to get pricing and estimates on getting work done on my home and Rochester Glass Block was the only one who returned my call. Usually when that happens you'd figure they were the only company who had nothing to do and that usually happens because they're a company of low quality and standards. This time it was certainly not the case. I believe Don was the person who contacted me. He was patient, thorough and very detailed with his description of the entire procedure. When he came to my home he was in no hurry at all, and he took his time in explaining all the pro's and con's to the options I had available. He wasn't trying to sell me the most expensive option and he wasn't trying to verbally blind me by throwing everything at me and hoping I would make a pricey decision. By the time we were done conversing, I really felt as though I made the right decision and that I wasn't driven in that direction. "Alex" and "Jay" were the people who performed the work on my home. I'll start by saying that they were on time! I almost fell over when I looked up at my clock and they were in my driveway. That rarely happens for any service I've ever had performed on my home. Usually it's a 4 hour block of time and someone barely squeaks in there before their time is up. This was not the case. They were cordial, professional, and it seemed like they got to work as soon as their feet hit the ground. I was going to have company come over to ask questions and fill in the blanks where I may have forgotten something but they were half way done before my second opinion could even head over. It was really nice to be able to ask questions and not feel stupid or feel as though I had offended them by doing so. I'm pretty knowledgeable about manual labor of various kinds but I'm admittedly a bit in the dark when it comes to some forms of masonry. I didn't get an attitude or even a funny look, they just answered my questions and kept on working. When it was all said and done my windows looked fantastic! My property was not left dirty, all debris was removed, it looked as though the windows were installed with the house! Long story short I would absolutely recommend Rochester Glass Block to anyone who needs related work done on their house. Nicely Done!

Jim came out to measure and discuss the options. we agreed on 3 windows no vents. Jeff came and had them installed in no time at all. he cleaned up the debris and took it all with him. there was a big rain storm the very next day and NO Water came in the basement! Great Job by great people.
