They arrived very quickly after purchasing the deal and got the job done. One technician completed the work. He also advised us to keep that washer and dryer because they are great and they don’t make them like that anymore. He had wonderful advice and was very nice. The cost was very reasonable for the work that they did. They did an excellent job and I am very pleased.

The lower heating element on our 1997 GE Wall Oven went out on Friday night around 6pm. I called Pro Tech and Lisa said they would order the part and probably be able to install it the following Monday or Tuesday. Lisa called on Monday and said that Rod would be at our house between 10 am and 1 pm the next day. Rod arrived at 11 am and installed the new element, which worked perfectly. Rod was very courtious and professional and we are totally satisfied with his work.

I would highly recommend Protech Appliance. I had an issue with my dryer vent inside the house and he went over and above to clean the lint and fix the material. Thank you Protech.

Rod knew right away what was wrong with my dryer. He also assured me the washer was noisy because of age. We are planning on hiring him again for future projects.

He suggested a good place to purchase a new dryer and what I should look for. My husband was recently out of the hospital for heart surgery and I wasn't able to go shopping for a new dryer. He called the store and found out what deals they had and recommended what I should get. I purchased it over the phone and they delivered it the next day. They took out my old dryer and hooked up the new one. I checked around and found it was a good deal. I would use this repair company again.

The gentleman went above and beyond our expectations by making certain the connection should not loosen again and even cleaned up lint and dust from the dislodged vent we couldn't during his repair.

That was good. They were on time. They did exactly what they said. Our dryer vent apparently hadn’t been cleaned forever so they also replaced a part for us that needed to be done and it was great.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It worked out very good. They did a very professional job and again he arrived on time and did the job completely and very well. I didn't have any complaints at all. My interactions were very positive.

Called on Thursday morning and told that the part would need to be ordered. Got a call back Friday afternoon saying that the part was in and that Rod could install it Saturday afternoon after 1:00. He arrived at approximately 2:00 and was here for about 40 minutes installing and testing the new broiler element. Job well done. I will use ProTech again as needed.

He was great. His secretary Lisa, who I talked with first, is a real sweetheart and I knew from speaking with her Protech Appliance was an honest business and Rodney was a competent small businessman and repair man - the kind of local folks I prefer doing business with when I can find him. The dryer is working great and I got a good deal through Angie's list (my first use of AL). Lisa had given me her estimate of what time he would be there and he was was. He noticed our new washer and gave his review of it and told us to call anytime we were thinking of purchasing a bigger appliance and he would let us know which are better for repair, etc. - I thought that was great and I'll take him up on it! Lisa also said they have a pretty good network of other professionals and repair businesses in the area that they can help us with if we need - yes, we need that stuff from time to time, and I'll take them on that, too! Just a great experience with a local small-business guy who is pleasant and knows his stuff. I would use Protech again in a heartbeat.

It was fine. They came out a couple of weeks after I purchased the big deal. I didn't spend more than the big deal purchase. They were pretty prompt and they were on top of things. I would use this provider again.

I love them. They are great. The guy that came out was great. I really liked him. The vent & the connection from my laundry room to the basement and then out, is somewhat bent and he checked the whole thing. He checked the laundry room and then went down the basement. He then traced it all the way through and out from where it releases from the house. He cleared everything out and showed me that it's venting well. He gave me also the kinds of tip about the way my dryer is built. If I try to pull the lint out of these drums where it accumulates & then drops into a basket, so the metal is sharp and he told me to be careful with that. He is very thorough and he takes his business really seriously. He said that I will not need another dryer cleaning for 5 years and I thought that was pretty cool. He is not looking for the service and he is just telling me the truth. I like that and I appreciate that. He is ethical. He really took pride in being thorough and doing a good job. He is such a nice man.

What a great repair. Late Saturday night we discovered that our washing machine had stopped pumping water out of the basin. On Monday we came to Angie's List to get a recommendation. We were pleased to discover that Protech Appliance was offering a special promotion to AL members: 1/2 off a service and cleaning. Protech was prompt an got right to work. Not only did he fix our pump, but he also tuned up the dryer! We only had to pay about $5 extra for a replacement dryer catch. Both machines are running better than ever! We would highly recommend Protech and plan to use them again should we have problems in the future!

I called and made an appointment for the next day to have someone look at my gas lines and hopefully install a shut off valve. He was extremely friendly and helpful and was able to complete the work during the first visit within about an hour. Additionally, he showed me how to install the range and made sure everything was appropriate for the installation. He was concerned that the gas line wasn't close enough to the wall so he attempted to move it back by cutting into the floor to free up space. Unfortunately, a support beam in the basement blocked any possible movement of the line. He took measurements and explained what had to be done if the stove didn't fit in the location. All in all the service was great and he went above and beyond my expectations.

Disassembled washing machine and found that the ball bearing were damaged. Suggested that it would be more expensive to repair than to buy a new washing machine. Spent a fair amount of time going over recommended washing machines and features to watch out for or pay extra for. We ended up going with the machine that he recommended the highest (speed queen). He also cleaned the dryer vent and placed a piece of foil tape over an area where the tumbling mechanism had broken off in the dryer. Although I was disappointed to not have my washing machine repaired, I was was very pleased with his professionalism and helpfulness in regard to the dryer, which he included on the same service call charge.

He was prompt, professional, efficient and ultimately helped us avoid purchase of a new washer and dryer. We were a little nervous about hiring anyone besides Sears repairmen but we would recommend this repairman - he was much more cost effective, responded and arrived more quickly, fixed the problem efficiently after thoroughly evaluating the potential problems and he did the repair without leaving a mess. A+

So in my case I paid a service visit fee to learn it may be better to replace the washer. Apparently maytag let their name be put on the atlantis washer model and the design was a poor one. I don't keep up on who manufactures products under others name. As i had search for information myself, it seemed plausible. As the washer was part of the house purchase I didn't know the true age. So i decided not to repair because of the poor design concern. While I did not get a repair ,I would try protech in the future.

The process was smooth and timely. They were honest about the price, timing, and likely outcomes. They did the work as expected and were friendly. Highly recommended.

OUTSTANDING! I was able to get an appointment quickly (vs. 5 day wait at the other place I had called). The owner of the business does all his own service. The woman who is his receptionist was SUPER nice AND knowledgeable about potential causes and gave me a good cost estimate. Rod arrived on time. He was super attentive in diagnosing the problem and figuring out what to do - very efficiently. When we talked about the age of the dryer and what might go next (that I had learned on the internet), we agreed I could probably avoid another service call in the future by replacing a different $15 part that is a common failure...DONE! (cheap insurance!). It was just a great experience and so much less expensive than the other two places I had called. The other places also diagnosed the problem (correctly) over the phone, but their estimates were $75-$90 more than I paid at Pro-Tech. I will certainly keep his card for any other appliance repairs I ever need!

It went fine--he understood the problems as described on the phone, arrived right on time, had all the parts he needed, and had our stove up and running in 15 minutes. We've always had great service from Protech, and will use them again.

Rod arrived at the scheduled time, removed the old drier vent, cleaned the solid pipe and sealed the pipe so that leaks cannot occur. He was punctual and professional.
