Rod was excellent and thorough. He fixed the problem and gave great advice as to how to keep lint out and safety suggestions regarding outside vent. He took extra time to help me diagnose and resolve some other small issues in the home.

The scheduling was easy. The person was timely and did the job efficiently and cleanly.

This man, Rod Sweikhart, is not only able to fix any large appliance, but he pulls out all the stops to make sure he does everything he can to make your experience a good one. He saved me from having to buy a new washing machine. Everyone else told me that they couldn't fix it and I should get a new machine. Not Rod. He worked long and hard and saved my washing machine. He's honest, a gentleman, a professional and just a nice guy who knows what he's doing. I recommend him to everyone. I will always use his services. Everyone should if they need a large appliance repaired, or in my case, SAVED.

He arrived on time, and fixed the dryer so I could use it until a part arrived. As soon as the part came in he scheduled an appointment and made quick work of the repair. Excellent job.

A day or so after I purchased the promotion I received a call from the woman doing the scheduling. I was quite surprised as I have purchased a number of promotions from other vendors and I always contacted them myself. The service man showed up promptly and did a very thorough job. In addition, he provided me with some really expert advice regarding my other appliances. I will definitely use him again.

The individual was very professional and when I asked questions about the dryer vent he explained the cleaning process and showed me what to do. He checked the pipes and I had the correct ones installed and he explained the cleaning process and showed me where it vented to the outside. Overall, I was very pleased with the work he performed and would use the company again.

Nice guy named Rod showed up, he was friendly and personable. Was nervous about getting the repair done, put it off for two years. All because I didn't know how to call. I thought I would just end of getting takin for a ride. This experience was anything but. Rod is just an honest, real, professional. Though it only took him a minute to fix the dishwasher problem, he screwed in the base board which had never been done and gave me a handful of useful tips for use and few suggestions for future purchases. Rod also cleaned my dryer vent in my scary basement. He didn't make me feel like going down there was beneath him. He was down there a good half an hour. He even repaired/ resealed the vent pipe. He someone you'd want in you circle for getting the job down, the good old fashion, honest way. I will call him again for future jobs. I had a great experience.

Amazing experience! I have to say that I cringe when I have to cave in and call someone to fix something in my house. I am a "do-it-yourselfer", but I did not have the time due to an impending business trip. I also have to admit, I get nervous tinkering with appliances that use natural gas for fear of doing something wrong and blowing up the house and family with it! I also hate when people start throwing in extra services that I'm not sure I need. Rod was able to make it out same day within the time frame defined by his energetic and fun secretary. He was able to fix the problem and even spent time educating me, showing me how it works, giving me tips and tricks to maintain the longevity of my dryer/washing machine units and even discussing current models on the market and which manufacturers and features to stay away from. The cleaning service he recommended was so needed that the 20 lbs. of lint he extracted from the vent spoke for itself! We even found some extra goodies inside of the dryer like my wife's missing bottle of Carbona that fell down the lint trap! By far the most honest, friendly repairman I have ever encountered in my 13 years of owning a home! I would definitely use Pro-Tech again! Great price and great service!

Without notice my dryer just decided to stop working. My first instinct was to call the number on the dryer (whirlpool), so I called and they essentially told me it would be a minimum of about $100 for someone to come out to look at it and then more depending on what was wrong with it. My second thought was of course Angie's List! I spoke with Rod who gave me a very reasonable price compared to the ridiculousness that Whirlpool was telling me. He was able to come the very next day and even called me beforehand so I could come home from work to meet him. He showed up exactly at the time he said and was prepared with everything that was needed for the job. I found that Rod was very professional and courteous and had the problem fixed in no time. After fixing it he also took a look at the lint trap and gave me some valuable tips on how to keep it clean. He charged me the amount we discussed previously and since I live in an older home, left me some other phone numbers for people he recommends for other types of repair work. Score! It's been a few months since the repair and I have not had any problems with the dryer since. I would definitely recommend Rod to anyone!

Rod installed the ice maker and the required water line quickly and expertly. It seemed as if he installed this particular part every day. There was no delay, no false starts, and the ice maker works perfectly. I was very impressed. He will definitely be my first call for any such service in the future.
