Mr Fix It

Mr. Fix-It charged me $1,730 to repair a leak in November 2017. Two weeks later the leak reappeared. They sent someone over to put down a ton of caulk as a temporary solution, then promised to return (as per the two-year guarantee) in the spring. It is now June 27, 2018 and they have not fixed the leak, despite repeated promises. They are consistently rude on the phone and refuse to take responsibility for their shoddy work, insisting that the problem was with the original roof rather than the repair. This is a laughably poor excuse considering what I paid. As of our most recent call (this morning), they are promising to return next week.

We set a firm date/time the day before Thanksgiving. He did not arrive. I called him and left an inquiring message, no response. I called again and left a message that Friday or Monday would be fine. No response. I have called again this week and left a message and, after three days, no response. I am flexible and easy to do business with. His business practices are unacceptable.

The work was done, but it didn't fix the problem. Repeated calls got me no satisfaction. A call to BCB, which this firm belonged to did not help.

Had to argue with the workers several times about the repairs. It has been a stressful time trying to get a receipt from the owner. I paid him in full for the work and initially he said he would refund $600. He only refunded $500. When I requested a receipt that reflected the actual price for the work and sales tax paid he has given me a huge runaround and now states I must submit a request for it in writing with mine and my husband's signatures notarized. Beware of this guy! He also goes by Kris Lindz Home Improvement.

They never showed up so there is no start or finish.

Estimate was quick and to the point, was able to complete the job within a week. I had some leaking from roof and multiple shingles that had come off that needed to be replaced. He examined the roof and noted that the bathroom exhaust pipe had been cracking around it leading to leaking. He replaced the pipe, and replaced the shingles on the roof. No complications or problems. Used $50 off coupon that was in the paper without any concern.
