How through are they?
Description of Work: High cost. Here one hour fifteen minutes- charged for two hours. Routine furnace cleaning, but never mentioned batteries in thermostat. Batteries died in thermostat in very cold spell. House was fifty degrees. Their response we don't do batteries. How about mentioning this to owner at time of service. Now they say batteries should be changed every year. F service

Dear Client, My apologies for the miscommunication. I'm obviously sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our service, especially due to an item not directly related to the service performed - the thermostat. Given the multitude of thermostats installed in all different types of applications, many being 24v powered and others battery, internet, security system communicating, etc. it is very difficult for us to address every instance. I'm not sure when your furnace died due to the battery issue, but if we had noticed a low battery indicator during the furnace service, we would have alerted you to the situation and addressed it for you. Frankly, I think giving us an "F" for service, especially for something that was not apparent when we performed the service is a bit unfair, but that seems to be the tendency lately. Additionally, our service maintenances, along with all of our services are flat rate - you are not charged by the hour, but rather the job. The 2 hours indicated on the ticket is the total time booked on the call for time keeping purposes. You did not indicate any issues with the furnace maintenance itself, so I will assume that that was done satisfactorily. Description of Work: We have a two year service agreement covering our furnace, humidifier and central air conditioner. They come out in the fall and completely service the furnace and humidifier and in the spring for the air conditioner. The contract covers everything and any emergency repairs are covered. We did have a problem with the furnace one year and they promptly came out and did the repair and there was no additional charge as the contract covered everything. Their service people are excellent and do great work and I feel very comfortable having them in my home. We renew this contract every two years and are very happy with the service.
