Description of Work: Healthy Spaces responded promptly to our inquiry and provided a quote several weeks before their competitor could promise to show up for a quote. We provided a $200 deposit, as requested. However, they were supposed to send us an email confirmation of the transaction, which never happened. We obtained a quote from the competitor, which turned out to be $1,000 less, even after forfeiting our $200 deposit. We emailed Healthy Spaces to terminate the contract, and they never responded. Instead, they called and left a message the day before the scheduled work to say they'd arrive the next morning. We called back that evening to, again, tell them we were terminating them and were happy to forfeit our deposit. Bottom line, we cannot speak to the quality of their actual work, but conclude that they are quick to close a sale and then virtually uncommunicative.

Description of Work: We haven't decided to have it done yet. But, they were very professional and straightforward with the process of fixing the basement.

Description of Work: Had odor problem in basement and suspected mold. Tore down all the walls, sprayed, scrubbed, took down ceiling, applied two coats of moisture barrier to very thing, vacuumed, hauled everything away. Moved all cabinets, ec back n place. Even cleaned all my cobwebs. Looked at other companies and quote was in range. Was here for two days. Very professional and prompt. Definitely satisfied.

Description of Work: Mold mitigation was completed. I was satisfied with their work and happy I had the work done. It was rather expensive but their estimate was lower than another estimate and I would recommend them.

Description of Work: I invited them to investigate water in my basement. The young man who came to my house told me he could fix it for $250. I told him that was good-we shook hands and I never saw or heard from him again (???).

Description of Work: Mark was very personable & professional. We have an older home & had a serious mold problem in the basement. He assessed all that needed to be done and gave us a quote. In September of 2012 he and his workmate, Jermaine, arrived on time each day and within 3 days did all the work Mark had discussed with us. They were very accommodating and did a thorough job while they were here. The following summer of 2013 we needed to contact Mark about a couple of concerns. He did stop by, but it took a while for him to schedule the time.

Description of Work: Mark and Germaine performed mold remediation and waterproofing of our basement walls.

Description of Work: They completely deconstructed our finished basement including removing all the debris etc, removed all mold and treated the walls to kill the mold and prevent it from returning. They were very nice and professional and they seem to really know all about mold mitigation. They also are hard workers and very thorough. My only complaint is that they were supposed to return to finish something up when their schedule allowed,. They communicated initially but they didn't return and we haven't ever heard back from them in about 4 months.

Description of Work: Cleaned and scraped entire basement's walls and fixed with mold remediation products. Painted walls. Painted floor. The walls required a three or four step process over a period of 1-1/2 days. The two men doing the work did so non-stop. After the first day of work, they left the basement clean and orderly even though they knew they'd return the next day.

Description of Work: We used the services of Healthy Spaces for basement waterproofing. They put a bleach solution on to my basement twice and they air-dried it and they waterproofed my basement. They also did pressure washing.

Description of Work: The owner, Mark, is a certified mold technician. Mark and his helper took two full days to perform the work. The third day was a half day to finish painting the basement floor. They removed two10-foot partitions, an old cupboard, old insulation, sprayed and scrubed the walls and floor with Serum 1000 (two applications) to remove the mold (see the video online). They used a vacuum with a HEPA filter, created a door from plastic over the basement door and vented out a kitchen window (for two days). They used a wire brush to grind out mold, repaired any cracks, filled several holes in the wood foundation. Washed down the walls with an etching solution. They applied two coats of moisture barrier solution to all concrete walls and painted the basement floor, one coat. Mark also sprayed part of the basement ceiling where I had a water leak (from an unhandy man!) from the first floor powder room; and he removed some of the walls in the PR and sprayed for mold there as well. He also applied some crack filler outside between the concrete patio and foundation wall. He installed new insulation around the basement sill. I don't have little vents in the basement windows. I should have opened some windows on the first and second floor (it was very cold when they did the work) for more ventilation. The vacuum they used was fine but still left quite a bit of odor, and of course, dust. I probably should have stayed overnight somewhere. Mark suggested a dehumidifier but I don't have a wet or damp basement. All of the mold was on the patio side of the basement.

Description of Work: I had mold damage in my basement and in my attic they were a mess..... Mark, the owner of the company gave us an estimate which was more than fair for the work he performed. He took down the damaged walls and treated them - I was amazed the walls look WONDERFUL...spotless!!!! Mark cleaned up the "mess" totally. Mark was on time, polite and honest and a pleasure to wok with and I have recommended him to many of my friends and relatives. I had hired him back to take care of the mold in my attic and once again Mark was on time and did the job as he said he would and cleaned up that mess as well and always professional. He definately know what he is talking about and how to do the job and now I feel like we are breathing and living in a much cleaner environment and now I will play with my grandchildren in my new healthy, clean basement thanks to Mark. It is not often that you can have a job done in you home and you are satisfied but I am more than satisfied on all the work Mark has done and what a wonderful and professional person he is - who does the job he says he will and cleans the mess as well. Ihighly recommend Healthy Spaces and Mark!!!!! Thanks again Mark, great job!!!
