Description of Work: They did three repairs on the dry walls. They made some mess where it could be avoided and they should use their cleaning equipments rather than using ours.

Description of Work: 8 hours of painting. The painter did a very nice job in a stairway, the ceiling, walls and trim as well as all the stair risers. There was a great deal of cutting in and he did an excellent job.

Description of Work: Repaired ceiling with large piece of sheet rock. Job well done. Bigger job than they anticipated so it did cost me a little more than I had planned on, but the job was finished in a timely fashion.

Description of Work: Repaired damaged garage wall area (approximately one and a half feet across). Work was well done and the area cleaned up at completion.

Description of Work: Fixed cracks and painted. Did not tape corner crack before painting. Did not show up on time. When I called to see if they were coming, I was told the individual was busy working on something else even though he was supposed to be at my house!

Description of Work: Painted a large rec room, hallway, bedroom, and stairway. Overall things went well. They were a little slow to respond at first but I blame that fully on the holiday season. On painting day a crew of three men came out and two coated my basement (which I had already primed) in approximately 3 hours. This was 780 sqft of space PLUS I asked them to repaint the stairway. All the guys were nice and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: I had a bathroom and adjoining dressing area and master closet painted. The painter did an excellent job, and I would definitely hire DP Customs again.

Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List deal for painting, and we were quite impressed. We then had them do some additional work... more painting, replace stairway carpet, refinish hardwood floors, fix powder room sink and shower. The team of workers were friendly and professional. Derrick, the owner, made some excellent recommendations and made certain we were satisfied with the work.

Description of Work: I needed drywall repaired going up my staircase. We bought a sheet of drywall and I wanted the entire sheet put up along with the corner bead. My room mate was home (not me ) when they came and they said it wasn't necessary to replace the whole thing, just a 2 x 2 piece where the water damage was. The point is, I paid for $100 for an hours worth of their time, as well as an entire sheet of drywall. They didn't replace the whole thing as I had asked and they didn't put a new piece of corner bead in either. They were in and out in about 20 minutes when I paid for an hour.

Description of Work: Started off fine, but because of a lengthy personal delay on my part, Derrick added on $50 for an expired deal. No mention of this was ever made during the couple of times we spoke over the months trying to schedule the job. He could have warned me! I ended up cancelling the deal. I too work hard for my money, and the unexpected charge was something I couldn't deal with! Happily Angie's List understood too!!!

Description of Work: I'm a little uneasy about this. Am I being too picky? I just expected a better job than I could do from professionals. It was much quicker than I could do but messy in many ways. | |Painted two rooms. | |DP Customs made arrangements quickly and arrived nearly at the time agreed upon, |even picking up the paint I'd already paid for which was a great favor to me. They were quite conscientious about asking me which color I wanted where, if there |was any choice to be made. |. |1) I was pretty disappointed that the only prep work they did was to wipe away |a few cobwebs I'd missed. NO spackle, no filling, no sanding even though the posted job description said that would be done. And worst of all, no tarps over my furniture. I have found at least three spots of light paint on my navy blue loveseat. In my two rooms with most of the furniture piled in the middle of the rooms, five guys was a bit crowded . That I hate prep work was one big reason I was willing to pay "professionals" to paint. I CAN paint but hate prep and was eager to have it done in a short time. Would have taken me a couple of weeks by myself. | |2) An arched doorway into my entry has a fine straight line between the new light tan paint and the off-white old paint of the entry area where it should be on one side, but has several globs of the new tan color where it doesn't belong on the other side of the arch. | |3) One of the trim boards near the floor has a couple of bare marks from where they wiped paint off the oak flooring. And a few inches down from that there remains a bit of paint on the flooring right next to the trim board. | |4) One of the painters asked my permission to rinse out brushes in the laundry sink in the basement which was fine. But the second painter who washed his brushes there managed to leave globs of semi-dried paint all over the soapstone sink and clearly had enough paint on his brushes to clog the drain for a while. | |5) They were very eager that I inspect the job when they were near finished. |I expect I didn't see the problems described here because they hadn't added |any lights. It was a gray day and the lighting wasn't great. When I paint I add several gooseneck lamps and point them right where I am working. |I just cannot imagine painting without extra light. | |6) I have a couple of built-in book shelves with arched tops. The guy who |worked on one of them did not remove the shelves to paint the wall behind them, even though I suggested that he do so. All he'd have to have done would be to lift one end of the shelf. Nor did he paint the bottom of the shelves except where he slopped the tan paint onto the white shelves. They would have been quite easily removed. The book nook on the other side was properly done by a different painter. | |7) I haven't tried opening most of my casement windows yet but they look |thoroughly painted shut. Same for the little cupboards below the built-in bookcases which were not painted inside. Most of the casement windows |are firmly painted shut. | | |My take on this is that there was a wide range of skills/experience among the |painters. A couple were well experienced and careful but one was not and was |klutzy besides. He walked around with paint on the bottom of his shoe. I caught it soon enough that I could scrub it off the oak flooring and slate entryway and it |doesn't show much on the Oriental-print carpet. |Same guy who left the shelves unfinished and the laundry sink a mess. | |Also, I didn't quite realize I'd already paid the $299 deal price via credit card, so when they asked for $360 it didn't seem unreasonable; there are eight casement windows with normal trim. Only one door has any trim. However, the deal was for three rooms and while my TWO rooms are slightly larger than average, the square footage was less than the specified dimensions. | |So, in sum, I would not recommend this outfit even though some of them are competent and conscientious. I am not even willing to let them come back and attempt to fix the problems. I can touch up paint and force the windows open and then touch them up extensively, but I do not know how to remove the |paint from my relatively new loveseat. |

Description of Work: The deal was a room painted for $99 but did not include trim or ceiling. Once the walls were painted I asked for an estimate for the trim. The painter did such a great job I asked to him to continue painting the trim in my hallway. |Leonard did a great job and I would definitely ask for him if I use the company again. He takes great pride in his work and has been painting for over 40 years.
