He came immediately and took care of it. First he gave me a price and then when it got shorter for him to do, he reduced the price, which was amazing. Without I asking him to do, he reduced the price. The price wasn't great to begin with but it got good. Quality of work was excellent. We had a little problem with their responsiveness because the guy, who was supposed to grind the stump, took more long time to come back and complete it. He didn't do it completely so it took a lot to get him back but he eventually came back. It took a little long time to get the guy to come back and finish up. I would get a bid from them in the future.

I found them of Angie’s List. They were really good. I had a problem setting up an appointment as I needed very exact dates. The ladies in the office were a pain but finally gave me a date. They were not used to someone being specific. I gave them a deposit n order for them to fix an exact date for me to which they agreed. Once I paid the money and asked for the date they said they would call and let me know on Monday as to which I was unhappy. I asked them back for the money and they said they could not return it which angered me and I left. They did the work but I was unhappy with one area. They however came back on the spot and took care of it according to my satisfaction. They were really nice. I felt bad that I had a difficult time at the office. They should have considered the customer right and tried to make me happy. I would use them again in the future.

Birchcrest is professional, punctual and very knowledgable. They are competitively priced as well. If you need tree work, you can't go wrong with birchcrest. We have used them a few times, and will use them in the future when tree work is needed.

I have used them before and the quality of work is fine. They are very professional and I like getting an estimate and having them stick to the estimate; it is a no-drama experience. I thought their pricing was fair but it certainly was not the economy choice. I will use them again in the future.

The gentleman who gave me an estimate was very professional. He listened to everything that I was concerned about and that I requested. I feel that they did an excellent job. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Brad is they arborist who gives us quotes when needed. They have done a fantastic job of maintaining our mature trees by opening up the canopy and removing dead, diseased or crossing branches. On two of our trees, they cabled the leader branches together to prevent splitting in storms. Jodi is one of the experts in the office who has given us advise on lawn and shrub maintenance or diseases. They are both very knowledgeable and willing to share information.

I requested a tree evaluation and estimate via the company's website. Someone called me within a day and made an appointment for an arborist to come out. He arrived as scheduled, discussed the trees with me, and provided a written, detailed estimate at that time. We waited about 5 weeks for the work to be performed. We were called the day before the work was done. Several trucks and men started promptly at 8 a.m. and finished around 2 p.m. They worked professionally, cleaning up as they went along. I had total confidence that they knew what they were doing and that they respected the property. We were very pleased with the result.

I was pleased with them. I think the work cost me around $800. The price seemed high but I do not have a lot of experience to compare it to. I will use them again in the future.

Although I was disappointed in the condition in which they left my yard, they have since returned and repaired all of the damage. I am very satisfied. I wasn't able to shop for price because I had to get the tree down quickly. Birchcrest had done work for me before so I turned to them immediately. My overall experience with this company is very positive.

Trees on our property were inspected and trimming was recommended. Many branches were hanging down too low for easy mowing. Two maple trees that were put in 10 years ago had root girdling where roots were crossing one another. The tree professional said the root girdling will eventually kill the trees and he recommended they be cut out. An estimate was written for $600. Work was contracted and a $200 deposit was given. Birchcrest also took a $25 coupon that was on Angie's List web site. Birchcrest said a 3 to 6 week time line for the work to start. Work was done after 5 weeks. Six trees were trimmed and two had crossed roots cut out. All six trees looked very good after trimming and root work was completed.

Excellent experience. The were very responsive both in providing the estimate and performing the work. They called and needed to change the work date due to a storm, but kept in touch, and completed the work within a reasonable time frame.

It was wonderful, they were great. For their quality of work I would say the price was okay. It's probably higher than most places but I'd say it's okay.

I think their prices were reasonable. They came when they said they would; they did what they said they were going to do and they finished in very reasonable time. They consulted with us and then designed the steps that they put in. They came up with the design and that is one of the reasons that they got the job. I will use them again in the future.

They did a brilliant job. You couldn't even tell that they had been here. They cleaned up every scrap of wood. They did very good site clean-up. They were also very prompt about coming out. They were reliable, and they came when they said they would.

The person that we worked with before did not work there anymore and we were disappointed with that. Their person was nice. Their responsiveness was poor. I may use them again in the future for an estimate but I could not be sure about that right now. We knew them from before. We have not yet made a decision.

They sprayed dormant oil for a year and mite spray for a year and there was no improvement

It went very well and the quality of the work was excellent. Our property looks tremendously better. At our request, they left the stump grindings for use to use as a soil amendment in various garden beds, and moved them (2-3 yards of them) to a discreet part of our property for us. They covered over the area where the stump had been with soil and seeded with grass, and although they didn't mulch the grass seed, this was otherwise very well done. The spruce trees look transformed, as does the whole section of property. The three inches of mulch they put down are dark hardwood chips from the look of them, and they are very attractive. We have already gotten lots of positive comments from passersby. When the large tree came down, two workers took in down in about one hour, an amazingly professional and efficient job. And huge sections of trunk literally shattered when they hit the pavement. We had believed them when they told us the tree was diseased, but the extent of the rot was not evident to us as laypeople; we just took their word for it. They were definitely right, and we are very grateful that they pointed it out and removed the tree. There were some odd things--each piece of the job was done by different workers, who didn't seem to know about the rest of the job. Consequently the order of things didn't always make complete sense. For example, the deep root feeding of the spruce trees was done first, before removal of the scrub and weeds, which would have made it much easier. But overall this was a very professional job. Expensive, but very well done.

Quick estimate and completed on-time with skill and professionalism.

This was a continuation of a project that I had contracted for with Birchcrest. They spelled out the cost of each part of the project and there were no unpleasant surprises. I am so impressed both by the price and the fact that they did exactly what I wanted done. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping project.

Birchcrest has a lot of good equipment, wants to go fast, and does a good job.

I picked them first, out of Angie's list. When they came over, the guy was very good at asking me exactly what I wanted, and he wrote down everything. He made some suggestion for improving what was there and what I was looking for. He was very thorough. I had a concern with one item; but he came back right in and address it immediately. He was right on time. I would recommend them to other people.

This company was very punctual & responsive, & the work was performed as expected.
