The men were clean and neat, and very polite. They were efficient and professional. The only downside was that they left several small items in closets and bedrooms, and I didn't notice this until I went back to the house after the move.

They are a local company and have been in business for a long time.

My wife and I just utilized Mabey?s Moving for our relocation from Columbia County to the Charlotte area and wanted to let everybody know how happy we were with our experience. It was a great pleasure to work with an outstanding team of professionals; from our initial contact with Marissa to the moving team led by Brad and supported by Andre, John and Ed. Everyone we had contact with was knowledgeable, highly skilled and very helpful --- not to mention they had great personalities and people skills, and worked extremely well together. We were very impressed with the level of detail and accountability for each and every box, as well as their punctuality and constant communication with us. Everyone went out of their way to make the experience a very positive one. We definitely recommend Mabey?s to anyone!

My girlfriend and I hired Mabey's to move the large items from our 4th floor, two-bedroom apartment in Albany to a new apt. in Cohoes. The process was easy: I called them to set up a date for the move and a visit by an individual to visit our old apt. This visit involved a quick survey of our items to be moved and the entrance/exit, elevator, parking etc. situation in and around our building. This initial visit provides the basis for the quote generation which was then promptly emailed to us. The cost estimate (based on an hourly rate of $135/hour for 3 movers, expected to take 4-5 hours) seemed a little on the high side to me, but this underscores my main (and only) complaint I had with this service: Transit times factor in to their cost for service and these transit times seem SLIGHTLY exaggerrated. That is, the payment meter/clock started running at 8 am for our 9 am move and our old apt. was only 15 minutes away from their location. Other competitors in the area will start the clock/meter only when they begin moving items. Going with a competitor might have saved us an additional $68-135 for our particular move. Having said all this, I would still go with Mabey's if I had to do it over again given the superior service provided during the enire process from setup to the move itself. The three individuals who moved our stuff were extremely professional, courteous, and competent. They really hustled to get things done quickly and clearly knew what they were diong. None of our items were damaged or broken.

They were absolutely wonderful to me over the weekend. They really went out of their own way to help me and were always very helpful, courteous, and polite. They took fantastic care of all of my things too. I would definitely recommend them.

The move went very smooth. The dining set used to be my Mom's and I needed it moved very gently. The two movers who came were very good and made sure everything was wrapped and secured before they moved it. All arrived at my home in perfect condition. I would use them again.

They're excellent. I give them all As down the board. I was very happy with them.

It was pretty good. My only drawback is that they forgot to put screws into the box spring. Otherwise, they were good. I would use them again in the future.

It was easy to get an estimate. They were accommodating with scheduling. It was challenging to move some of the items down a curly staircase. They did not damage anything. They properly secured my belongings. My brother also used them.

Mabey's has always been my first choice and call for moving in the Albany, NY area. I know a number of people who have used them for local moves (including my wife when we first got married) and I have never heard anything but good reports. However, I have twice contacted Mabey's about a move across state lines (Interstate) and, while their prices were better than many, they never had the best price. Furthermore I have found them completely inflexible on their prices and they seem to quickly lose interest if they aren't sure you are going with them. I made clear to them that I would use them if they came within 5% of the price of another mover (who is also a major, very highly rated national company with a big local presence) and I could not even get the Mabey's rep to call me back - in every case I had to call him. In the end I am using the other company - they have been much more responsive and professional and there price is a full 10% lower for a major interstate move. Lastly I was very surprised that the Mabey's rep estimated my move (around 18,000) lbs. by tick marks on a form and then adding everything up via a calculator. The mover I selected did a full inventory of my house with a handheld device and gave me an excellent report listing everything I was and was not taking. I was then able to understand how I could save some weight (and money) or what it would be if I brought additional items. In finalizing the dollars of the move I walked through the specific inventory with the rep and told her exactly what to add and remove from the list and she was instantly able to revise the weight and cost. I don't know why a company like Mabey's can't do the same thing.

I am very pleased with how well the overall experience went. My initial contact with the main office right through to waving good-bye to the movers when they were all done.

They were wonderful and took care of everything. The company was on time and stayed good to the estimate. They were great and we thought the cost was reasonable. I will use them again in the future.

They were fabulous! They were incredibly kind and understanding. They were very respectful of all my belongings. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

As noted above, from the time that the initial contact was made by phone to the Rensselaer office in early November, to and through the time of delivery in early December, the process was handled by Mabey representatives in a professional manner

There were 3 guys that came and moved us. The guy that was in charge was not very nice. When one of the boxes that we packed fell over he yelled at my husband for packing it wrong. We had asked not to have this gentleman in charge of our move. We had friends who also had a bad experience with him. The other two younger gentlemen did a good job.
