I contacted City Suburb Inc around early October for an evaluation of the work needed. Out of four different contractors, they gave the best pricing and estimated hours of work to completion. It was a little difficult to schedule the work at first, since it was busy season and they had other work pending but the owner was friendly and we worked it out. Once the date was nailed down, everything happened very quickly. They came promptly every morning for five days straight, including on rainy days to get everything done on time. It's been a few months now and I haven't had any problem. My garage stays bone dry. City Suburb was also kind enough to come back at the beginning of spring, well after the initial job completed, to help us with some minor repairs that we discussed free of charge as a favor. This was to repair a broken piece of flashing and replace a few broken tiles on our roof.

They did an excellent job. I would hire them again.

We were very pleased with Ravinder Singh and his crew. He arrived promptly to give us an estimate and made price adjustments based on our requested changes. The crew arrived each morning with all supplies and equipment ready for a full day of work. The crew was quiet and dedicated; they worked with a minimum of fuss and cleaned up at the end of each day. The job took four full days; each day Mr. Singh stopped by to see if things were done properly and to our satisfaction. At the end of the job, we reviewed the scope of the work to be sure we were satisfied. We have worked with many contractors over the years and I would put City Suburb in the top category.

The siding from the side wall of my house was torn off from windstorm. Ryan, from CitySuburb came as soon as I called him. He agreed it was an emergency and started work on it next day. It was a G-d send. The crew came to work on time and did the work, which was brick pointing and wall repair. Also some of the shingles on top of the house were either coming off from the windstorm or about to come off. They replaced that too. Other companies I had interviewed/had estimates from didn't say they can start right away. This was an emergency and I was relieved that Ryan and his crew came to my rescue! I would hire again in a heartbeat. Even though it was more expensive than the other estimates, I felt it was worth it. Another company I interviewed wanted to put the siding back that was torn off by the wind. I wouldn't even consider them if they had that mindset!

They didn't get back to me. Update: 2/7/2017 After my first review, he came back and sent me an estimate by email. According to the Service Provider, he originally sent someone to look at it but he never relay the message back to him.

Contractor was good to work with, results were good, I would use them again.

The work was very well done and it was very reasonably priced. Ryan was also kind enough to fit me into his very busy schedule when I had to get some additional work done. Both times his crews were professional and seemed to do high quality work. The one challenge was getting onto his schedule. But he completed the work as promised -- just before it got too cold to apply stucco. I would definitely recommend him and would use his services again (in fact I already have!). If you need masonry work done, City Suburb is the company for you.

1st person visited site and gave pricing. When I called to start job, I was told price was much higher. Didn't want to budge in negotiation about why increase in pricing.

I had a leak in the roof and he came to repair that. I found there was still a leak and he came right back out to fix the problem. I liked that he responded quickly and came back to fix the errors. I would use him again and I recommend this company.

We are please with his work, and his crews. We will have them back soon to replace our garage roof.

It has been only one week since roof has been serviced and missing slates replaced so no real test yet. I will make sure to update my review with time. Up to this point the experience with Mr. Ravi was very good, his crew arrived on time and finished the job as promised. Update as of May 17 2018 It’s been a year and a half since City Suburb Inc. serviced my slate roof and still no issues... Very satisfied and will hiring them again this summer to do the same on my slate roof on my garage. Job well done! ---Peter

It all went well without any issue. Came by apx halfway through and checked the work which was all well done and progressing to completion.

Ravinder and his team did a great job. They were attentive and easy to communicate with during the whole project. We had an old roof with many layers and a leaking skylight that they replaced, new gutters, a fire escape scraped of years of paint and then repainted, some brick pointing, exterior painting and patch work repair. They did a good job on all the projects. They're very puntucal and always cleaned up after each day of work. Extensive work, done quickly, very reasonable price.

Ravinder and his crew did a good job for a reasonable cost. They knew what they were doing, did it quickly and cleaned up the site when they were done. Ravinder also found me a colleague to do the non masonry work on the project; the window and door installation and the repair of wood paneling and sheet rock on the interior of the house.

The roof had leaked during a bad storm and was in need of replacement. I called City Suburb based on positive reviews. Ryan was very responsive and came out within a day or so to inspect. We agreed on a price of 4k. He was able to start the work the next Saturday and it was completed in one day. We also agreed to add painting the front cornice to the job which greatly improved the appearance of the house. It's been a year and I've had no issues whatsoever with the new roof. The price was competitive and I found Ryan professional and pleasant to deal with.

City Suburb repaired and restored my 100 year old front steps. The steps are made of slate and were completely open underneath. They were crumbling away due to water damage and there were many old attempts to repair with concrete that were also cracked and coming apart. I called this company because they had replaced my roof and I was pleased with the work. Ryan came out with a day or so for an estimate. We agreed on a plan to repair cracks and openings, resurface, waterproof and pain the steps, and to reinforce with cinderblocks from below. He said this should reinforce the steps for another 8+ years or so at least. They were back to complete the work within 2 weeks, and took 2 days to do the work. Ryan's crew were all nice guys and they did a great job of cleaning up when they were done. The steps look fantastic.

Ravinder and his team were great! Extremely informative, thoughtful, and communicative. Regularly asked for feedback and responded positively to all issues that were raised. Communications were timely. We reached out to numerous service providers about this job and City Suburb's quote and price were the highest quality and most competitive. I HIGHLY recommend using City Suburbs for your work.... we will certainly use them again!

City Suburb did an excellent job and I highly recommend them. Their Masonry does excellent work. They were so good that I ended up having them do additional work while they were there. They are polite and professional. I have been asked by numerous neighbors for their contact information.

Ravinder was a pleasure to work with. He toke off old roofing material and old tiles on the terrace, toke down the old stucco and replace with new. Put down two layers of waterpoofing material and did two balconies with new granite tiles. It was done fast and perfect. Have a ten year warranty on it so that was helpful

HE CALLED AND HAD TO RESCHEDULE AS THE RAIN WOULD BE A PROBLEM . hIS CREW WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAND UP PERFECTLY. HIS COMPLETED JOB WAS WELL DONE. I WILL USE HIM AGAIN . I live in a 10 year old condo in Brooklyn, and one of my balconies was causing a leak into the condo below. City Suburb provided a reasonable quote and was very responsive. City Suburb removed the existing tile, added a waterproof barrier between the balcony and wall, and then re-tiled the balcony. They arrived when they said that would, and while we struggled with a fair amount of rain, they were able to complete the project within a week. The new tile looks great, and hopefully the repair has eliminated the leak (so far so good, knock on wood). The only negative was that some grout did fall onto the balconies/terrace below, but City Suburb has been working with my management company to clean this up. Assuming that gets fixed to my neighbors satisfaction, I really have no complaints. I will definitely use them again in the future.
