I called Mr. Ravi in order to get some information on brick pointing of my brownstone. In addition I needed parts of the house and façade painted. I had the back wall and the front wall of an attached brownstone waterproofed, pointed and painted (partially). Mr. Ravi was very professional and sent me a proposal. We also negotiated a fair price. I am not an expert but I saw that all the cracks where filled with waterproof cement and the windows were sealed. The front of my brownstone looks now spectacular. The crew was pleasant and when they finished they cleaned up the job site. I would hire the company again for a similar project. I attaché the before and after pictures.

found City Suburbs through Annie's List after an exhaustive search. Choosing City Suburbs to do cornice, masonry work and siding was probably one of the best decisions I made. They completed the work today - within the time promised. I am very pleased with the professionalism and integrity of Ravi. He doesn't cut corners and doesn't engage in questionable business practices. The quality of work is excellent - I particularly like that the crew kept the site clean while working and left it cleaner than when they found it. I could go on and on. I am a commercial building owner and have been working with Ryan at City Suburb for several years to maintain the roof on my building. Ryan and his team do what I find tough to come by with other roofing contractors in that he always returns calls, arrives at appointments on-time, provides a fair proposal, does the work as scheduled with minimum disruption to tenants and stands behind the work that he does. i would not hesitate to recommend City Suburb to anyone in need of roof work.

We enjoyed working with Ravi and his team to do some spot pointing on our new-construction house. Ravi came over to look at our situation shortly after I called, took a thorough look around, explained his assessment of what we needed, and gave us a written estimate before he left. It was great to not have to wait for an estimate, and his total came in about the same as the two others we got. Also heartening was that Ravi insisted we didn't need a full repointing (as another masonry company had), just some spot repairs. The former would have cost us something like $10K more! It took several weeks and text message nudges to get his crew over to do the work, but once they were here, it went more quickly than anticipated (one day instead of 1.5). The team was courteous and seemed to work efficiently. I only wish they had let me know how much dust would come inside so I could have sealed our windows up better, and that they had cleaned up a little better around our tenant's first-floor deck, which got littered with old caulking and cement chunks as they worked. Ravi was always pleasant to speak with and responsive to my messages, very intelligent, and seems to know his business. We would recommend his company and would hire them again.

Ravi and his team did a superb job. They spent the time they needed to evaluate the level of work that needed to be done and came back with a competitive quote. We have neighbors in a new building on one side, and ongoing construction on the other side of our building, and Ravi was great and professional in explaining the project, alleviating concerns and at communicating with all parties on an ongoing basis. His crew was very detail-oriented and experienced. They completed their work efficiently and within a timely manner. They cleaned up properly and our neighbors are delighted with the outcome, ie. their gardens look onto beautiful clean walls! Thank you Ravi and your team for your excellent work. Ravi and his Mason worked all day to remove outside cement, place metal flashing under siding wall and secure it. They sealed up inner wall seams and exposed area by door. We have not had a heavy rain yet but this wall appears much stronger and work more professional. There was no further charge for this day.

I own a 100+ year old three-story frame building with a stone foundation. I've had the building evaluated by a structural engineer and he recommended that I have the foundation walls repointed. I contacted City Suburb because of the very high ratings on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. When I contacted Ravi, he was quick to return my calls. He came over, evaluated the job and took photos. Within a few days, I had a written estimate for the job. Although the price was a little steep, I knew that the work was extensive and needed to be done, so I hired him. The job took bout a week to complete. But, in the end, I was more than pleased with the results. The walls look brand new. I also know the stone foundation should be able to withstand another 100 years. Ravi and his crew were courteous, professional and quick. I would highly recommend their services. In fact, I re-hired them a week later to install a new brick stoop on the building (which looks fantastic, BTW)! Kudos to City Suburb!

Ravander and his team understood what was possible and came up with a cost and result effective solution. Very competent and professional; easy to work with; great results. The rain has been kept out months now since the fix. They have my high recommendation and will be the first one I call the next time I need a water proofing fix.

They were all very polite, respectful, professional and pleasant to be around while they were fixing the building internally and later when they were working on the facade. The final total payment was what Ravinder provided in the estimate. No upselling or additional charges. 1. Ravi was attentive and on time with his team every day. He answered my calls and texts right away. He even answered my call at 1am when we had a rainstorm and water was coming in because the new drain pipe hadn't been installed. He was ready to send workers but I told him we could temporarily block the water and it all turned out ok. 2. Ravi's workers are polite and clean up after themselves. They even helped my neighbor with a small issue. 3. The quality of the work was great. I appreciated Ravi's expertise about older buildings and his honesty. He strives to make his clients happy. He even went the extra mile and replaced some cement around the back of our house near the sewer drain so water wouldn't leak in our basement. He also repaired the stone ledges and waterproofed them for uniformity rather than leaving them looking bad. He knows about what an old building can handle weight wise and repair wise. 4. Ravi and his team quickly correct any mistakes and are very responsive when you have an issue. 5. Ravi is a nice guy. He runs an honest business and I would hire him again. My only criticisms would be that: 1. He should have a foreman on site the whole time to make sure the workers were doing what was requested. 2. I wish he gave us a little more time and advice about selecting a color for the coating. We felt rushed and made a mistake color wise but he was good with correcting it and giving us what we wanted. The workers were really good with painting samples for us to hold up to the house. 3. I am probably pretty extreme when it comes to details and there were a few times when I wished I'd been asked before something was done. For example, one of the workers used a really heavy oil paint in an indoor area and I have asthma and pets and would have preferred another type. Ravi quickly corrected it though. 4. We'd agreed upon a price and ended up paying more because we added another area and he found some damage we had missed at our roof line in an interior shaft way we have. He was right that we needed to fix it and so we did and I'm happy he found it but we weren't expecting the extra cost. Next time I'll make sure all the areas are inspected so we don't have surprises. We still feel the price was fair for the amount of work done. 5. We had some extreme weather during the job. It was horribly hot a few days and rained a few more. We had the final waterproofing done and it rained before it had the chance to set in some places. Ravi came back another time and corrected the areas that's were streaked. My only thought is if we'd checked the weather the conditions for the guys and the thorocoat would have been better. All in all, Ravi runs a good business and does a good job. I would highly recommend him and hire him again.

Although it took a while to get on their calendar, (CitySuburb is pretty popular) it was worth the wait. The badly damaged cornice on our 100 year old brownstone now looks great and they identified pointing and a mistake from a previous contractor that needed immediate attention, fixed them both and we were able to do it cost effectively. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves. All very nice guys too!

The repair and repainting of my stucco wall went very well. Ravinder was very nice and the crew was very professional. I was very pleased with the work that was done. Ravinder seemed to go out of his way to satisfy me and said if there was ever a problem with the work that I should call him.

Ravi was very professional. Unlike other contractors we called, he answered the phone, and came the next day to fix a roofing leak. He stuck with the estimate and that's what I paid. He told me if there was any problem with his work, he would come back and do what was needed at no cost. Personally, Ravi is a very nice guy and very courteous. Thank You!

I had water slowly making its way through a foundation wall and into my finished basement, which to repair, required that the exterior-facing side be excavated. Ravinder and his team were fast, clean and professional. Also being competitively priced, I can't recommend City Suburb enough.

They came in at a competitive price, arrived on time and completed all of the work in a single day. This is more than a one man operation, they have a whole crew of workers and they worked throughout the day, well over 8 hours, with little breaks. I know a little bit about the work they were doing and they checked all the boxes for things I was looking at in terms of quality. My roof looks great and looks like it'll hold up for another 20 years and my steps look as good as the day i bought the house.

I had water leaking in my basement from a crack in my foundation. The water seeped in from next door who had a foot of water in their basement. Work started on Sunday morning at 8am. They opened the cracked foundation, drained the water, repaired the concrete, sealed it then waterproofed the area. They also found a smaller foundation crack which was also leaking water. Once the water stopped, they came back a week later to repair, seal and water proof.

The vendor and employees arrived 5 minutes before the time they were scheduled to start. They were very clean and werent loud. The work they performed exceeded my expectation and i am currently scheduled to have them work on another job at my home. In addition to repairing my foundation and pointing they also added a concrete landing leading to my backyard.
