The work was performed by a team of 5, and I was impressed that all the work was done within 2 days (Saturday & Sunday) which meant that I didn't have to take any days off work. All this was during a time when they were very busy with all the work that happens before winter kicks in. The team arrived early on Saturday, and at the end of each work day, cleaned up the area very well. They did have to access the roof through the house, as for some reason they did not have a long ladder with them. This may potentially be an issue for others, but for me, it was not a big deal as my house is mostly hardwood floors that is relatively easy to clean. The quality of the work was very good, and I appreciated that they would find me whenever they had questions or needed direction and not just assume that things should be done a certain way. All of the workers were professional and courteous. All in all, I was very pleased with how this went, and would not hesitate to look into them again for future masonry/exterior work.

Paul and his men were pleasant, professional, hardworking and did a good job. They arrived a bit later than expected the first morning but were very prompt the second day. They cleaned up and hauled away all the debris and there was a lot of it. Everything is holding up well so far, though I wish a second coat of paint was done on the fascia because you can still see the old layer beneath it. My only gripe is they didn't give us the senior discount which was clearly noted on their Angie's List profile and one of the reasons I chose them. We did have a disagreement on the price from the original quote but other than that, everything was good.

I asked them to repair several sections of loose aluminum flashing/fashia at the edges of the roof on my three story house, and they did.

We have a land mark beautiful house over hundred year old in Forest hills Gardens City Suburb did excellent job since this is a land mark historic house they had to get the cement color approve by the board and finish pointing and exterior paint job done right. I highly recommend this company

The contractor came and gave an estimate the afternoon I called. He was quite pleasant and professional. He listened to what I was trying to accomplish, which was to make the house more accessible for my aging mother. He gave me the best price quote for the job and put it in writing. There was some delay to starting the job, he had said he could start it in two weeks and was not able to start for three weeks. However once they started the work was done in a timely and efficient fashion. The owner was on site for most of the time the project was done./ /contractor. He kept me informed of the progress and next steps. The quality of work was excellent- the mason did a beautiful job. Every day they cleaned away the debris so we never had to deal with living with a mess. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Bottom line, it went very well. Neither myself or the wife had a day off so I don't know the work details but the final result is fantastic. As per Ryan (the gentleman who is the owner?/manager) he was very courteous and very good at explaining what needed to be done. Punctual and honest, he also did not have a negative attitude towards smaller jobs which we were happy ours turned out to be. Ultimately, the only advice I would give is when negotiating, try to make sure both sides are clear on the scope of work involved, materials needed and price. Otherwise, they definitely get a thumbs up from us.

Ravinder from City Suburb immediately responded to my request to have them take a look at the job. He came over immediately to take a look at the job and bid it -- the whole process was very fast and very clean. Ravinder is very articulate and it was very easy to both understand and negotiate the job and price, which, from talking to other contractors, was a pretty competitive price. His crew started both the stucco and roofing jobs as scheduled and finished everything on time. Both the stucco work and the roofing work was very good, though, it has rained yet, so I'm not sure how to qualify that statement, but from the looks of it, I don't see how any water is going to get through. They had to tear down a lot of existing siding before doing the stucco work and there was lots of debri, but they removed all the debri and cleaned up very well. I have a lot more work to have done on my building, and I will definitely be calling City Suburb again.

Went well. Was pleased with the evaluation. He was honest about the work that needed to be done in the future but left the final decision up to me. I will use again for projects in the future and recommend him to future.

All went well. We were warned about the dust that would be created by the grinding out of the old mortar. they suggested we take precautions to minimize dust entering our home, such as taping our windows. They suggested we notify our neighbors of the same. They arrived and started work when we were told they would. They acted very professional. We were very pleased with all aspects of the job they did.

Ryan from City Suburb began the work by doing an overall inspection of the area. After citing areas that needed work he and another worker proceeded to repair the areas. We were concerned about a leak that might be causing disrepair to an inside wall. He looked at areas of the roof that might be causing that problem and tarred them. He also tacked down many loose shingles. He was willing to negotiate fairly and gave us an estimate about the cost of repairing the entire roof. He operated in a fair and professional manner

Mr. Singh first came in lete September to check the condition of our current roof, which was about 10 years old. I told him we had had some leakage in the last couple of years and were worried about the condition of the roof. After he inspected them, he said the main roof and the smaller roof definitely needed replaced, but he also emphasized that the front brick-pointing was in bad shape, and was contributing to the leak damage. He and his crew came two different days for roughly 8 hours each, The first visit they installed the main roof, after which he showed me photos of the new work, which included leveling to help avoid pockets where water might accumulate. On the second visit, he had some workers set up equipment in the front and work on the brick-pointing. Another group worked in the back of the house to replace the shingles. We have been in the house for many years but did not realize how badly that roof had needed work because we used it for storage. When the men got down to the plywood it was completely rotten so they replaced that, and then reshingled it. During the course of both of these jobs, there was old roofing and debris being discarded into the yard and some dust from the front blew over on the neighbors' steps. However, all of this was carefully cleaned up as soon as the jobs were finished. Those neighbors now want him to come work on their roof. Professional, prompt both days, careful planning, All went well and we highly recommend City Suburb to Angie's List customers.

city suburb is one of the best service providers that we have used on our home for water proofing. The work started on time and they where very professional in all areas. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Well he really just finished it and it hasn't rained yet, but it looks really good so I would have to say that he did a good job.

They said they'd start at 8am. They were here 8am on the dot!! The work was all done in a day. They were meticulous and everything looks great. Very nice workers. Definitely recommend!

The service was excellent. Ravinder Singh always answers your calls. They come on time and clean up very clean. All you'll see is the new work and don't notie any debri!

They came on time and finished in one day. The new brick for the steps, landing and edging looks gorgeous! If you need masonry work I wouldn't hesitate to hire City Suburb. They will not disappoint.

The workman was very courteous and professional. He explained everything he was doing/using/applying. Good cleanup. Mr. Singh was always available via telephone, however, I would have liked a little more notice for the start of the job.

City Suburb did a very nice job. I am very pleased and would gladly recommend them.They finished the job today. About 3 weeks ago I call City Suburb for an estimate, and they quickly came by the very next day. I was looking to fix the leak I had in my garage, which sits under my front door porch. Paul the owner came by to access the job.He was very clear on pricing and what the waterproofing would involve with the job. They completed this job in two and half days 1st they replaced my falling front roof tiles. 2nd they cork all my front windows of the house 3rd they remove the loose cement from my front porch, level the porch floor, after they waterproof it with seka coating. 4th painted the front porch on the last day 5th work on replacing the shingle at the top of my garage, which is under my porch and they also clean up my gutters 6th worked on the inside of my garage, they repair the damage leak ceiling, and then completely painting the inside of my garage. They left everything very clean .I am so pleased.

Did not show up. Received no call from company. If they could not do that, I certainly do not have confidence in them performing the job.

BEFORE CHOOSING CITY SUBURB INC AS MY ROOFING CONTRACTER I DID SCHEDULE TWO OTHER CONTRACTERS TO COMPARE QUOTES AND SUBURB BY FAR HAD THE MOST REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE WORK THAT WAS TO BE DONE. ONE CONTRACTER DID NOT SHOW AND THE OTHER ONE WAS TRYING TO OVER PRICE ME AT $4500 AND TELL ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO GET THE BEST MATERIAL SO THE IDEA OF HIM ROBBING SITS GOOD WITH ME WHICH I KNEW WAS LIE. HOWEVER THE OWNER OF CITY SUBURBS CAME, EVALUATED AND GAVE ME THE GREAT PRICE OF 2800.00 AFTER SAYING HE WAS NOT TRYING TO ROB ME WHICH WAS MUSIC TO MY EARS. THE JOB WAS DONE NEATLY AND WAS WITHOUT FLAW. MY OPINION OF CITY SUBURBS IS HONEST GUYS WITH HONEST PRICES AND I WOULD GLADLY USE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE

Everything went well. Everything was done on time and efficiently. It was a job well done. The job turned out to be a bit more extensive due to some unseen wear and tear but the price of the initial job was only changed nominally. Although the work was done in June 2013, in July 2013 we thought there was a leak coming through the porch portion of our roof from a dripping air conditioner. Paul from City Suburb came out and took a look. He noticed that the problem was not the porch roof but a gap between the siding and a part of the window above the porch area. Although he didn't have to, he, free of charge, sealed the entire area around the window and near the siding where the water from the air conditioner was leaking. He truly went out of his way to satisfy us just because he appreciated us as a good customer. Truly A++ customer service. I would highly recommend this company for any type of home improvement job.

I hired Paul because unlike the other companies that had given me estimates, Paul climbed up on a ladder to look at our gutters. In the process he discovered that only a small section had to be replaced with a more expensive special order gutter. Another very highly rated company from Angie's list had told me the entire gutter would have to be replaced with the more expensive special order gutter. Paul and his crew worked right through a horrible heat wave. They did such a nice job on the brick work you can't tell where the new brickwork is unless you knew where the old cracks were. would definitely hire him again.

We ended up using a relative to do the work, but he was quick and very responsive. I would use them again.
