The Brothers That Just Do Gutters

Having struggled with three different brands of Gutter Guards, we decided to contact The Brothers That Just Do Gutters. Their representative contacted us quickly, came out to review our property and recommended the Rhino Gutter Guards as we have many pine trees. Pine needles block many gutter guards but pass over the Rhino Guards. This was encouraging that we were not just recommended the most expensive type of guard (Rhino are the second most expensive). The team arrived the following week to complete the work. They arrived on time, were quick, thorough and cleaned up after themselves. Six months on we are really pleased. We went through fall with the guards working really well. The pine needles are no longer getting caught in the guards

They were prompt, friendly, and professional. The work done was billed at exactly the estimate I was given. They reported a problem in one gutter that they could have convinced me had to be resolved immediately, but they said it could definitely wait a few years before it needed to be taken care of. I will use them again.

From the first phone call to the visit for the estimate to the installation this was one of those flawless transactions. I had had another estimate done by Empire gutters, but when it came time to do the installation I could not reach them as they were so overbooked they couldn't answer their phones. The "Brothers" matched that previous estimate and did an outstanding job. They were courteous, professional, on time...just a joy. Their work was absolutely fantastic and now the water is draining away from my house perfectly. Price, quality and overal experience was basically perfect. This may sound a bit over the top, but with Hurricane Sandy and all the other issues I've had restoring a 160 year old farmhouse...to have a positive experience with a contractor means a lot. I'll be using these guys to do my yearly maintenance!

Even though I had new gutters and gutter guards installed only six years ago, they were not working and water was gushing over the tops of the gutters in hard rain conditions. There was potential for damage to my roof and house. The Brothers recommended larger gutters and a new guard called Rhino Guard, that would allow more water to make it into the gutter, and larger down spouts. They came on time for the estimate and the job. They were professional and proficient. I feel confident that this not only solved my immediate problem but gives me long-term protection that eliminates the need for annual gutter cleaning.

The brothers were very pleasant. They were prompt & efficient. They did the work we paid for & seemed like a good company overall. They suggested we install gutter guards and gave us an estimate that was a bit high, so we just stuck with cleaning for now. But would definitely use them again.

They were on time, performed the work in the time they estimated it would take and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. The two workmen were extremely polite, professional and knew their jobs well. I contacted The Brothers about my stuffed gutters online. I received a call shortly after my initial contact, and I was told that - while the Brothers do not service Yonkers - they could refer me to a reputable gutter cleaner in my area. Very nice, helpful and professional. Good job!

Everyone that I dealt with was very personable, efficient, responsive and prompt. Rebecca provided a complete estimate, scheduled the appointment to meet my scheduling needs, and called the day before to confirm the appointment. Jimmy and his team mate arrived on time and even called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They took care of the gutters, cleaned up the area, and explained what they did and why. All in all, a terrific experience. I highly recommend this company.

Initial review of our house was at the time agreed and went smoothly. Proposal of solution and estimate was timely and professionally presented. Price proposed was on the high side but when i mentioned Angie's list and the offers I saw there we agreed on a reasonable compromise. The installers were terrific; professional and friendly as well as knowledgable and attentive to detail. During my installation they identified an issue with the agreed solution, quickly brought it to my attention and came up with a creative way to rectify the issue. All the work was completed in a single day and they did a very thorough job cleaning up. We just had our first big rain since the installation and everything seems to be working quite well. I'd have no problem recommending their work.

The office was pleasant to deal with. The appointment was confirmed and the truck arrived in the time it was supposed to. I wasn't home but I can see that the plants growing from the gutters were gone! From what I can see, it was well done. They also apparently put a nail in a loose gutter. I would use them again.

The Brothers have been cleaning my gutters for several years and I have been very satisfied with their work and their professionalism.Ryan came to give me an estimate and explained the options. The written estimate gave me the option of replacing the gutters & leaders only or adding leaf guard. I decided to do just the gutters & leaders at this time.Since I was having my roof done first, I was very concerned about not having gutters in case there was a big rainstorm. Ryan was very cooperative in scheduling the gutter job as soon after the removal of the old gutters as possible.Two guys came to do the job and they were very diligent, respectful, and efficient. They clearly were well trained and motivated to be very courteous and do a great job. My new seamless gutters look great and are of high quality material. Before leaving, the lead guy walked me around the house to make sure I had no concerns. They left no trash behind and it was a very low-stress experience. A few days later, I received a nice follow-up letter and a 5-year warranty certificate.I recommend The Brothers that just do Gutters highly!

After initially scheduling an appointment for gutter cleaning 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start date, the company was unorganized and unaware of when they were supposed to start. The scheduling coordinator was unclear on a morning compared to an afternoon start. When I had to remind her of the 9:30AM start time, her men were not even on there way to start the service yet. They did set up an afternoon appointment for me today. However, do to my work commitments, this was not feasible. I decided to cancel the deal with them because of the scheduling errors.

It all went well and on schedule. Good contact with main office.

Since gutters were two sizes (6" for the replacement gutter) and 5" (for remaining gutters), two separate crews came on separate days, which was fine. First crew installed the 6" gutter with LeafSolution top. Crew was timely and professional (as had been my experience with the receptionist and appointment scheduling), but noticed after they left that one end was hanging over and messy, and other end was not finished off, so debris would enter gutter. Discussed this with office receptionist , and it was properly fixed by the second crew, (who also told me that the work should not have done it that way). I ended up adding all new gutters & LeafSolution (instead of just putting new LeafSolution covers on existing gutters), and second crew finished in one day - worked until dark to complete, and were immaculate in cleanup, and very professional. Also creative in finding solution for cabling wiring. Would recommend and hire again; just be sure to confirm that ends will be finished off neatly as promised! It's all in the installation! I also needed a separate drainage problem solved, which Brothers said they would recommend to Rain Away, a company they are affiliated with and who is represented on their website. Rain Away came out to evaluate, but since then have not received an estimate or call back for discussed follow up for the work they came out to survey. Brothers is a good company; they should be careful their affiliates offer the same level of service.

They were on time. Did a great job. Cleaned up when they were done. I would use them again.

I purchased one of Angie's lists "Big Deals" which was the installation of "Leaf Guard" brand gutter guards for up to 1000 feet. My home had slightly over 1000 feet, so I paid a little bit more. They were extremely flexable on schedualing, and working with me on a good time to come out. Both my wife and I travel, so getting a good time was difficult, but they were extremely accomodating. Once we decided on a date, they arrived right on time. They were proffesional and extremely friendly. They explained what they were going to do, and approximately how long it will take. They installed the Leaf Guard solution perfectly, and made sure to cutom cut aluminum to cover the sides of the gutter as well for a clean look where nothing can get in through the sides as well. THey also fixed some minor issues with the gutters they came across as they installed the guards for no additional fee. They also explained that if I have any issues, to give them a call back and they will come take a look at things with no problem. Overall, I am extremely please with Brothers and have recommended them to friends. I can see why they are a highly rated company on Angies list.

They cleaned the gutters on my house and recommended a couple of improvements to the system overall. They provided a written estimate on the spot.

they seemed very professional and the reason i used them was due to good angie's list reviews.before they came we had some old gutters causing serious water problems into the house. after they did the work we had some big rain storms and absolutely no water into the house. after a few weeks and seeing no water in the house i think they must have done some good work. the new gutters also look nice. and it seems like they really know their stuff when it comes to gutters. i was also happy to see them use the heavier guage aluminum as some others use the cheaper stuff which isn't as good. i only have 2 complaints about them. other people here said they were very clean and people coudn't tell they'd been on the property after the work was done. my experience was different. they left a ton of trash all over and including in bushes. i spent a good few hours picking up discarded metal scraps and old nails from the previous gutters that they didn't pick up. also, they left black handprints all over the exterior of the house that i had to clean and black dust all over our windows as well. The other problem was in the written quote they gave me they wrote they would replace all the back gutters and downspouts (plural). we only have 2 in the back and they only replaced 1. i called them to ask about that after they came but they said the person that came to the house only noted replacing 1. i have a written quote saying otherwise but i don't have the energy to follow up on this with them again. i would highly recommend being very certain what you're getting a quote for and in the future i would definitely want to make sure i am at the house to supervise and avoid the mess and make sure they do what they said they would. in the end, i'm still ranking them as being okay given that the quality of the work seems high and i might consider using them again if we needed to do more work.
