I called Mike after calling another Angie's List A rated guy. The previous one seemed unsure of the source of our problems, and that worried me a little, because he was talking about the possibility of knocking out a wall in our shower and he gave me a quote of $250. So, I called Mike to get a second opinion. Mike came the same day and he fixed everything right on the spot. He knew right away what was wrong. Mike was clear, totally professional, and he even gave us tips on how to avoid having to call him again. Super nice guy. A warning about promptness: we got lucky because he happened to have just finished up a job nearby. Good plumbers cd don't drop everything, even in an emergency, if they're in the middle of another call, far away. So, be reasonable. I will call this guy again if needed. Terrific.

We are planning to hire him once we figure out what we are going with. We didn't compare his prices. He was professional, punctual and responsive. He called yesterday with the prices. He didn't push the most expensive and he really presented the options clearly.

Mike came over immediately removed toilet and fixed problem. He's the only plumber I will call. Thanks again.

He needed to call his supplier and went to get the new water tank. Returned and installed it (and the parts needed). Michael and his partner did a wonderful job. They were able to come that day and complete the job.

I reached the owner directly while he was enroute from one job to another, and, luckily,I was on the way. Within minutes, he was here with an apparent apprentice. Whether for the apprentice or for me, he explained everything he was doing. He needed to go to a supply place for a replacement piece, but still managed to finish in a timely manner. I would hire him again.

Michael answered the phone directly, went to the store for the part, and arrived about an hour after my call. When he arrived, my daughter had gotten her car stuck in the driveway, and Michael helped us, along with neighbors, to push it out of the snow. He quickly and efficiently installed the needed part. He also gave me an overview of my heating and plumbing system, and he made some suggestions for future possible improvements. Michael seemed very knowledgeable and honest. On his way out, Michael offered to fix the lock on my front door. After fixing my problem, he stopped at my parents house, and snaked their toilet, for free! They were very happy. I recommend Michael for any plumbing work you may need! It is very rare to find someone so genuinely helpful.

The fix worked. There was no need for a call back to correct anything, although that service was offered should it have been needed. One thing did make me wonder: I saw no company name on the truck that pulled up and there was no company name on the invoice I was given for service. Big deal? No really. Not in terms of the quality of work that was performed. I have no complaints and would call for service again.

I called him on a Sunday to fix two small problems. I left a message and he called me back in a couple of hours which was faster then I expected on a Sunday. We made an appointment for the next Tuesday at 9:30 and I took the day off of work to be there. 9:30 comes and nothing. I call him repeatedly and there is no answer. I started calling around to find someone else at around 12:30 and finally found someone that could be there same day. I called again and left a message to cancel in-case he was planning on showing up late. I was very disappointed because of the numerous great reviews on here and this is the first time I've used Angie's List.

Replaced furnace and removed old furnace

Fixed drainage hose in water softener and adjusted settings.Michael was good about explaining what was going on and how to manage.

looked at what needed to be done showed up in the evening had to call to make sure he was still coming he was running late because of other jobs he was estimating obviously he is very busy maybe too busy. told me he would have an estimate in a few days and told me to contact him. i attempted to contact him several times through angies list and his email with no response. i called him with no response. I've had no response from hime since the day he came to give me the estimate. i joined angies list to find good timely service at a fair price. i would not hire this man.

When we needed to replace a toilet and get a leaky faucet repaired, we turned to Angie's List for recommendations as we were not happy with other service provided by a plumber we had used in the past. We quickly found Mike's listing and were amazed at all the glowing reviews so we called him up. He came to evaluate our job within a day or two of our call. We were pleased with his estimate, but due to the demand for his services, he wasn't able to fit our job in until a week and half later which was fine with us. The day of our repairs, Mike showed up on time and made quick work of the toilet replacement. However, the leaky tub faucet was a bit more complicated and we needed to replace the more than just the external fixtures which were a bit difficult to remove. Mike was able to remove them all and replace the valves inside and install new fixtures. We had him replace the fixtures in the guest bathroom as well since we were concerned about the same problem. Due to the length of time it took to do the bathroom projects, there wasn't enough time to remove the garbage disposal the same day so Mike came back a few weeks later to remove it since it was not a priority for us. Overall,we were very pleased with his service, his professionalism and the quality of his work. We will use him for any and all plumbing service needs and will recommend him to others in the area as well. Although my fear is he'll be so in demand that he won't be available for our work when needed. He truly is a gem in the plumbing industry and is fair and you don't feel as if you are being taken advantage of. He truly cares about his customers and it shows through his work, his respect for your time and property.

The faucet leak was a bit tricky due to the parts being hard to get off but with determination he finally got the parts off. He replaced some of the pipes under two bathroom sinks that were leaking in very quick time.

I had a serious clog in my kitchen sink that my husband was unable to fix so I called Michael's Plumbing early one day for help. Michael called me back that day but was unable to come until the next day al though he did offer to come at 6 at night if we really needed him. We agreed to wait and he came very promptly the next day at the time he said. He was here about 1 hour, using his snake to clean out the drain followed by lye to be doubly sure. He also rehung the pipe to improve the pitch so it would drain better, and checked the vent to make sure it had been done correctly. I was very impressed by his professionalism and workmanship. All in all, he did a great job quickly, at a reasonable price and at the time he said he would. I definitely would recommend his work.

To start off the excellent reviews you see about Michael's Plumbing is very well-deserved. Mike was very prompt, professional, reasonable and easy to work with. After playing phone tag for 3 weeks, we finally were able to talk today and Mike agreed to come and fix our damaged tub spout and pipe. He came after his normal working hours. After inspecting the problem, Mike realized that the problem was more serious than we initially thought. He set out to work promptly without wasting time. He was done within 1 hour. I was very impressed with his attitude to work - no useless complaints, just get the work done! After some very bad experiences with some other handymen, I was leery about hiring anybody to come and work in our house. Angie's List provided the perfect place to find the right handyman. Mike was a breath of fresh air. I will highly recommend him for your plumbing problems.

Our kitchen faucet had been leaking for months. Having an outdated installation on our 50+ year old house, it seemed like the best idea would be to call a plumber to replace the faucet we purchased and update the way the lines were set up. I found Mike through the great reviews his service has on Angie's List and got in touch. Over the phone we arranged for a time that would work out well for both of us. The day of the service, he called ahead to confirm what time would work best, and arrived when he said he would. He was absolutely professional, courteous and got the job done quickly and cleanly. When he was done, he verified everything was working with us and said we could call him if anything needed tightening or adjusting. After almost a month later - everything was done right the first time. While we has here, we asked him if he could quickly take a look at a few other plumbing issues we may need addressed and he gave us a ballpark estimate and time frame for each, as well as some great recommendations. It's awesome to have a properly functioning faucet, thanks to Mike. We highly recommend his work and expect to use his services in the future!

I was scheduled to have a new dishwasher installed and when the installers arrived, they said I had a leak in my drainpipe and that the shut-off valve was rusted and needed to be replaced before they would install dishwasher. I called Mike, who, although already booked, squeezed me in. He arrived when he said he would and after reviewing, discovered that it was only a washer that needed to be replaced in my faucet -- that was causing the leak -- not a leak in the drainpipe. The shut-off valve did not need to be replaced; he lubricated it. I was not home at the time, my 85/86 year old parents were there. I am so happy that Mike turned out to be an honest and reasonably priced plumber. He could have taken advantage of the situtation since, we honestly didn't know any better, but he is ethical and honest and reliable. I've already given his name to my 2 brothers living near by and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing a plumber.
