Description of Work: I had used Mike in the beginning of the year for some small work with my washer machine and kitchen sink. I was very happy with his work, his price, and his professionalism. When I had an emergency with my oil burner in September, Mike was the first plumber I called. He was able to replace the core of my burner at a very good price and get it done within a 24 hour time frame. I would highly recommend him to any of my neighbors as well as any family/friends in the Poughkeepsie area.

Description of Work: I had a leak in the bathroom vanity. He came by the house about 7:30 p.m. to examine the leak. He determined that he needed a special Moen hose assembly. Two days later he called to say that he received the assembly. He arrived on the 22nd and installed it. He charged me for one hour labor which I judged to be fair despite his only taking ten minutes on each visit. He did have to visit the hose vendor and then pick it up. | |He said that his work was guaranteed but he did not expect me to have any issues with the new hose assembly. | |I was pleased that he did not try to make this into a bigger job than it was. | |I would use him again.

+ -1 moreMichael kept me apprised as to when he would be able to do the work and called when an emergency would make him 2 hours late. I agreed to the delay in advance. He arrived on time with all materials he would need. He was very careful not to make a mess. He worked with another licensed plumber, which allowed them to complete the job quickly. Everything that they installed works properly and they left everything clean. I would recommend Michael highly. I have had bad experiences with 2 other local area plumbers, so I am happy to have found a plumber I can trust.
Description of Work: Installed 2 toilets, including cleaning and repairing the shut off valves on both. Replaced frost free outside spigot.

My wife and I were very impressed with how carefully he checked and rechecked the installation for gas leaks using an electronic gas leak detector. He also explained to us important information as to how to properly use the stove. He was pleasant to work with, showed up on time, and we felt his price was very reasonable. We would definitely use him again for household jobs.

+ 0 moreMichael came as promised within 3 hours of my phone call. He immediately got on the job, replacing the heating element in an ancient water heater in my mobile home. The heater is not easily accessible. He advised me of costs upfront, important as I am a disabled senior. Within the hour the water was fixed, hot water again! The entire bill was $134, and he cleaned up carefully and explained that I badly needed a new heater, but did not try to make a sale. I had the feeling he cared, was giving me a break on the price as a senior, and that he was fully qualified and professional. I would highly recommend him and plan to use him again.
