The first scheduled appointment was rescheduled due to weather related issues; he failed to show up for the second appointment; finally showed up for the third and final appointment. We have 2 AC units, He checked both units. One was fine, while the other was low on freon. After trying to put freon into the unit, he realized that there must be a leak in the system. He added sealant, tried to put freon in again, with no success. At that point, he concluded that we needed a new air handler at a cost of $2,150.00 (not including the additional cost for the services he performed on this visit-$450.00). He provided the estimate. We chose to get a second opinion. We called another HVAC contractor who found the leak, repaired it and added the freon at a cost of $550.00. Since the repair by the second contractor, we have had 5 plus days of 90 degree heat, and the unit is performing with out any problems. We feel that the $450.00 spent with D Rhode Plumbing was a waste of both our time and money, and advise others to get a second opinion if you chose to use them.

I am extremely pleased with Dan. He came to the house after our central a/c was not cooling in the midst of a heat spell. He took a reading, examined the units and quoted me on a new central a/c system. Later that evening, I got a call from him stating he thought the reader was not accurate due to other strange numbers he had gotten later that afternoon. He acquired new equipment and wanted to come back to re-evaluate. He did come back that night in the midst of a terrible thunder storm. He gave me the news that indeed it was his equipment and all he had to do was a sealant, clean the unit and replenish the coolant. Dan also gave me a good price due to my inconvenience. I was very grateful for his diligence in solving my a/c problem. He was honest and saved us alot of money. Also, he was considerate putting protection on his shoes when walking on carpet. I will call on D. Rohde again for any plumbing, heating or a/c. In addition, I will be happy to recommend him to anyone I know.

Good phone contact and call backs, called in the morning to confirm he was enroute. When it was found that the module on hand was not the exact one desired, they contacted the Honeywell rep who delivered it swiftly to the job site. Dan and his assistant were professional an genial through out. He clearly enjoys his work and consequently is knowledgeable and helpful, with no hard sell to more expensive products

I called D. Rohde Plumbing and Heating after seeing an Angie's List deal on a tankless water heater. Our water heater was working fine but as it was 14 years old it was time to start thinking about its replacement and this seemed like a great opportunity. I called to ask some questions before I committed to buying the deal and Dan was extremely friendly and suggested that a home estimate (which is free) might be best before we made any decisions. I was concerned that the deal might sell out as it was limited, but Dan was able to come the next day to look at our system so we were thrilled at how quickly he could accomodate us. Once he looked at our set up, he recommended 3 options, two involving the tankless water heaters and the third an indirect water heater. He gave us pros and cons, levels of efficiency and how the products would fit into the future when the boiler would need to be replaced (at least 10 years away!). I finished up our estimate discussion by asking him what he would do in his own home and he suggested the indirect water heater. Overall, it was going to cost a little more than the original deal, but something we were completely ok with given the long term benefits and increased efficiency. Dan was able to schedule our installation for a few days later and kept in touch with us when he had other thoughts on our system. On the day of the install, he was prompt and had everything completed in a timely manner. He was clean in his work, covered his work area with cloths to not get any of our items dirty and left the utility room cleaner than he found it. I can't find any negatives to share which makes me really happy and I can attest that "Treating your house like it was our home" is not just their slogan, it is the foundation of their work! We are so happy that D. Rohde Plumbing & Heating is local as they now have a new long-term customer! Thanks so much, Dan!!

My husband realized that the furnace wasn't working. We call D. Rohde Plumbing and Heating and Dan came out that day. He quickly diagnosed it and ordered a new pressure switch. He came the next day with the switch and replaced it. He was clean, orderly and polite. We will continue to use D. Rohde Plumbing and Heating for all our plumbing and heating needs.

Over the past few weeks I have been faced with the many issues that my almost 160 year old house has to solve. One of the issues was wanting to know for sure that our well water was safe to drink and to make sure that our "water conditioner" was working properly. I was given a recommendation for a guy who could come and test the water. While he was working I noticed that his van also said "Heating" as well as "Plumbing" so I asked for his advice about some radiators that weren't working. Dan is now my go to guy for everything. He has helped me get the boiler working more efficiently-including all the radiators working properly. His knowledge of new technology for energy saving is wonderful and his advice is given without pressure to buy. He arrives on time, is extremely polite and respectful of the house and does his work exactly as he describes in advance. Nothing is a surprise-except for my old house -which just this morning offered me a leaky heating pipe. Even though Dan was doing a job in the absolute opposite direction he managed to get to my house in very short time and fixed the problem-saving me lots of money on water damage. Dan's reliability is unmatched. I am beyond thrilled to have found him and recommend him without hesitation.
