Description of Work: Cleaned furnace and replaced some damaged valves, the cleaning was done as part of a sale on Angie's list for $49 which includes a free carbon monoxide detector. He ran out of the free carbon detector and promised to send one once he received more. While cleaning Dan notice some valves were damaged and replaced 2 for an additional $90. He also made a few recommendation on how to save on heating costs next season. Gave me an estimate and did not pressure me in the least.

Rohde Heating and Plumbing, was a pleasant and honest Dan called and was very honest This is a hard to find I called to replace a few boilers and Dan came over inspect He got all boilers working the only one he didn't was one that went on fire This company is a needle in a haystack to find HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

+ 1 moreWe had low-to-no water pressure for a few days and he quickly found the solution. He was very professional and explained things very clearly. We replaced our well tank to avoid burning out the well pump and installed a sediment filter because we were also getting sediment in the water in addition to water pressure problems. Water pressure is now as good as it's been since we bought the house. He also showed us issues we are having with our water softener which will have to be replaced in the future. We will definitely be using him again.
Description of Work: Analyzed low water pressure and water softener performance. Replaced a well tank and installed whole house sediment filter.

After looking through Angie's List and calling several companies, D Rohde Heating and Plumbing was able to shoot right over to Chester and help my tenant. He gave me a fair quote to fix the problem and he fixed the heat on my old system that day. I am very happy and will use this company again.

Description of Work: Repeat customer of Dan Rohde's. He's priced right, does a great job, responsible, reliable, professional, punctual -- everything you could ask for in a plumber. Description of Work: We had some legitimate problems primarily due to poor service from previous service providers. I was shown every issue and given options. There was no pressure. I also got the environmental filter replaced and opted to get a mold lamp.

+ -1 moreThey were courteous and friendly. They did the job quickly and neatly. Our attic space is very small and they did not complain. They just crawled up in there like it was no big deal. The mouse that chewed up the wires had been electrocuted and they removed the corpse for me. I would definitely have them back again.
Description of Work: After the tune up it was determined that our central A/C needed a bit of repair. It had never been serviced in the 12 years that we had it. We needed a new coil and condenser cap. Some of the exterior wiring had been shewed up by a mouse so that had that had to be replaced. An ultraviolet light was installed also.

+ -1 more.Had Dan come to do the A/C tune up special, but he found my A/C unit was low on coolant . Since it isnt that old and coolant had been added before, he said it probobly had a leak. He used a coolant that also plugs up any small leaks. Checked my attic where the A/C runs through. Said everything looked ok up there.

Description of Work: Job: Installation Tankless Gas Water HeaterI called Dan Rhode in late May 2012. He arrived at the premises within a day or so after our scheduled time. He atempted to call me to try to reschedule for another time.( I work. So i have to work around approved days and times so that I may be at the premises) . Anyway,he came, gave me a verbal estimate for labor AFTER READING THE MANUAL AND INSPECTING THE UNIT AS WELL AS THE LOCATION IT WOULD BE PLACE IN. :JOB: installing a tankless, gas water heater. I agreed to forge ahead with the job. He said he'd call back to inform me about the cost of materials. I never heard from him for a week and a half. I called him again. He said he had been busy. He asked for my number again! (REALLY???) We agreed to an appointment. Said he'd call to confirm appt. Never did. After another 2 weeks, I contacted Dan H. again. We scheduled an appointment after my discussing it with my boss and being granted that 1 day vacation time. I called him today, a day before the scheduled job. I called early in the morning. He stated he wasn't going to be able to do the job because my county has strict regs. re: gas license.; and despite the fact that he has a license ...(I couldn't understand what he was saying His speech was inaudible, I kept reiterating what I thought I heard in an attempt to clarify and gain understanding.) He also stated he spoke with a friend.. his explanation was not clear. I thought he was telling me he would have his friend do the work. Instead.. He said he went on- line and gave me names of two co. who might be able to do it. I asked for their numbers he didn't have them. Why would I go on to Angie's list if I could do the same thing he did: go online???? So...he elft me hanging, i am stuck now. I have a vacation day that I must use, tomorrow since I spoke with im this AM and it is not productive. . Months wasted. since it is now July 23rd, 2012. BTW, I called my county.. I spoke with the head person who informed me that the regs re: Licensure for Installiation of gas appliances have been the same for a while now. Bottom line: DISAPPOINTED!!!! UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL
