It's the middle of a winter storm watch out, and I'm lucky enough that my house has two furnaces, so I was able to limp along with only one working. When I called D. Rohde, they committed to have someone out the next day between noon-2pm. They called the next morning and asked if it was OK to come *earlier*. That was great. The technician showed up on when he said he would and immediately put on booties to protect my wood floors without me even asking (I wouldn't have, my floors are pretty beat up, but the effort was very much appreciated). He double-checked the steps I'd already performed to diagnose, and then went much further, isolating the control board as the culprit. So far so good. The diagnostic cost $147. They don't have the model control board I'd need in stock, so they'd have to order it. The estimate for the board + replacement was over $950. I checked online and the control board costs $106 at SupplyHouse.com ($96 from Amazon). I'm a capitalist. I have no problem with companies making a reasonable profit on parts + labor, but that seems excessive to me. I decided to purchase the part from repairclinic.com and replace it myself.

Horrifying, Absolutely horrifying! Paid over 5K for a heating system and I went down into my basement a month later to find a flood. One of the pipes they were supposed to replace but didn't was leaking. When I called my concern was met with nothing but a callus and smug attitude, when the maintenance guy arrived I asked for the phone number for the owner he replied with, "well do you want me to fix the leak or give you the phone number" when I replied I need you to do both he gave me the phone number and told me to have a good day and tried to leave. I had to chase him out to my driveway to get him to come back in and fix it. When I called the owner and asked how this could have happened a month after it was fixed instead of saying sorry, he asked if I was a perfect person who never makes mistakes. I was stunned! I'm not perfect but when I make mistakes they aren't five thousand dollar ones! If you are going to blame your incompetence on a mistake than you should at least be apologetic for it. The maintenance man then admitted that the flood was their mistake (obviously) he replaced what was supposed to be copper with plastic and then try to get me sign a waiver saying they weren't responsible... They were rude unprofessional and clearly are not even able to properly do their job because as of right now my heater is not working properly. I am a 60 year old widow it is just me and my daughter and the fact that they knew a man would not be the one to come home to this heating system I can almost guarantee is the reason the work was so shoddy to begin with. Disgusting is the only word I can use to describe this business. DO NOT USE!!!

It went well, he showed up on time and was professional. He tried to sell me on getting a whole new furnace, which is why I didn't give him an overall A rating.

Dan and his team from D Rohde are great. Easy to deal with and they know their stuff. Prices are fair. Emergency service available. Repair team can fix any problem and are always professional.

It was an excellent experience. Dan Rodhe and his crew are first-rate professionals! Domingo, Ajay, and Dave worked tirelessly for three days to remove all our old equipment and install a brand new system. It's perfect. As always, D. Technician showed up on time to perform what I thought would be an overall analysis in order to provide an estimate. Before I knew it, the work was completed and I am handed a bill for $446 dollars. Technician stated that the compressor was down 2 lbs and needed recharging. No breakdown of pricing just one large bill. Unfortunately I paid, where I should have refused to do so. Called the company back to see if they were willing to adjust the price, as a second company later came by and gave me an estimate of $254 for the same work. Person who answered the phone stated that the owner is the only one who was authorized to do this and that he would call me back. No call back, no surprise! Also had requested an estimate for some septic work with their Septic division, known as Mr Rooter. Needles to say, I cancelled that visit.

Good Repairman was courteous, friendly and prompt Thought job was a little expensive but he completed job quickly and properly.

Our central AC system stopped working in July and we did not have any type of service contract with the installer. We called them originally -- and they were rude on the phone, and couldn't get a tech to our house for 4 days! I checked Angie's List and found D. Rohde. When I called, the woman on the phone was very courteous and helpful. She offered to send a tech more quickly (2 days) and gave me a 2-hour window the day he would come. The tech came exactly on time (in fact, a little early) and I got a text message before his arrival with his picture and credentials -- which I thought was very professional and made me feel more confident about letting him in our home. The tech himself was very polite and seemed to know what he was doing. He was at our home for 2 hours - and did both the repair work and overall maintenance check with several suggestions. We were very happy with our experience with D. Rohde and even bought a service contract, in addition to paying for the work done. Would recommend them to others.

We were very happy with D. Rohde. They were very hardworking and professional and courteous. They really know their stuff and explained everything clearly. We felt that we were in very good hands. They disassembled and removed our rusty old AC unit and installed the new one in only four hours. Not only that, but they moved up the date of their visit so that they could have the AC up and running before the big heat wave hit. When they were finished, they cleaned up everything. We'd be happy to hire them again and have already recommended them to others.

Sometimes you just get lucky. We got super lucky when we hired D. Rohde to fix our A/C. Our technician Mike A. showed up with a helper/trainee, explained the estimate fees and then went to work. In less than 10 minutes he was able to identify the defective part, return to the truck for a new replacement part, and then install the new item. In under 30 minutes our main central A/C was back up and running. The second (upstairs) central air unit took another 10 minutes to diagnose and then about 40 minutes of grueling work in a super-hot attic to drain out the overflow tray, cut, blow-out the drain line, and repair the drain. Once drained, the unit is again working perfectly. It is great when a technician shows up and really is an expert. Mike A. is such an expert and also extremely friendly. Brandon, the assistant/trainee was also great and someday will make a great technician using all the knowledge learned from Mike's expert tutelage. I will recommend these guys to everyone I meet.

Technician did not impress me as being very knowledgeable. He arrived in a Mr. Rooter truck so I guess he was more about drains and sewers than plumbing and heating. When he arrived, my wife showed him the Angie's list coupon for 10% off and he said "No problem". The extrol tank he installed on the hot water heater was twice as big as the one removed and it is sitting dangerously close to the exhaust stack. I will have to replace this when I get a chance! After the technician left, we noticed he had NOT given us the 10% off so we called D. Rohde. We were told it would be taken care of as soon as she reached someone in the invoicing group. We have called more than 4 times and keep getting the same "pass the buck" story and never received our 10% off! What a joke! I guess I will start using Home Advisor instead of Angie's list!!! In addition, after the technician left, we had no hot water. It turns out the pilot light was out. I was able to reset it but was away and my daughter who lives there had no hot water for several days until I returned to check it out.

Dan Rohde came to the house to assess what our needs were, and made a professional evaluation of the proper sizing for our purpose. Other potential providers oversized what we really needed. The installation team of Domingo, AJ, and Dave were extremely professional, solving an interesting challenge of drilling through solid rock to properly route all the lines. Very punctual; did a very clean job. No issues. AC is running well.

Work took a good part of the day, but went smoothly and efficiently. It was clear that they were experienced and expert at removing and replacing the pump. New tank, the large#t they could fit into my space, replaced the old one. All discarded parts were removed by them. Since replacing the pump and tank, my electric bill has dropped.

We are pleased with the process and results. Something went wrong with our old heating system and we contacted DRohde based on Angie's List reviews. Dan was very responsive and patiently answered all of my husband's questions. When there was a cancellation, he arranged for us to have a new furnace installed earlier than we expected. Mike and Carlos worked extremely hard -- until 9 pm! -- to get it installed properly and clean up. The furnace has worked perfectly since, and our home has been comfortable throughout the recent cold spell. We had been dissatisfied with our previous heating and plumbing service companies, so we are very glad to have found DRohde; they really came through for us in our semi-emergency.
