The technician seemed knowledgeable but I knew just as much as he did from research performed on the internet. Essentially, his diagnosis was to start replacing parts. He did replace the oil burner nozzle, filter, and screen. The boiler tripped out later that day. They did show up on time (well early but he called to make sure I would be there). He was very professional and did not leave a mess. He did not have a combustion analyzer with him, something I would have like to have had done. I understand that these burners can trip for many reasons but I had hoped an experienced technician would be able to point to at least a few common problems. He did point out that the motor had been replaced and that was helpful. After the boiler tripped out, I ordered a new primary controller and cadmium eye. After replacing those, the burner has not tripped for over a week now. In the future, I will ask ahead of time for a combustion analysis. I would use them again as he was knowledgeable and seemed experienced. As with both companies who have worked on the boiler, I got the "this boiler sure is old, you should replace it". He estimated the boiler efficiency to be in the high 70's. It is actually an 84% efficient boiler. I do get tired of the "you better replace this soon" sales pitch. This boiler should last for twenty more years if it is properly maintained.

Went well. Appointment made for following day. Arrived on time. Temporarily fixed furnace while waiting for part and installed part two weeks later. No issues since.

I expected someone at 8, but they showed at about 8:30 or so (possible misunderstanding on my part, but I swore he said 8:00, not "between 8-9"). Since they were "late" by my standards, I expected a terrible experience. Instead, Mike (I think was his name), explained what he thought was wrong and got right to fixing it. Once he got the unit apart, he explained what else he thought should be done and why. He finished in a reasonable amount of time and was very, very courteous about wiping his feet while in and out of the house and cleaned up well at the end. He then reminded me that Angie's List customers were entitled to a coupon, so I got 10% off! I am a single mother in charge of keeping my home running properly and have a hard time finding contractors that I can trust AND that I can afford. The reviews on Angie's List are the sole reason I chose D. Rohde and I'm very happy with the service and plan to use them again in the future.

Dan showed up on time for the estimate, and then once I decided to go with his company, he again showed up with his guys on the planned date to install the new boiler. Work was very professional and clean, and they were very careful getting the old boiler out, as I don't have Bilco doors. They completed the job in one day as promised, and did an excellent job.

Although my appointment was at 9AM I had to call them at 10:30 to find out if they were still coming. I was told that they were behind and would arrive later in the morning. They did not arrive until after 12:30. I was on the phone with Angie's list to cancel the appointment when they arrived. They performed the paid for services and in the end did a good job.

We went with them after we used them earlier this year for a full service furnace tune-up which included our A/C system.

The service was okay. At the end of the day my heat was restored. There were a few minor issues that I had with the service. First he was 15 minutes late. Second, he ran out to get the necessary piece and took and hour and a half to return. Lastly, I believe I was overcharged for parts and labor. For example I was charged a $100 to install a simple $30 dollar thermostat.

The service was fine. It was easy to schedule, they were on time, and professional. They completed the work quickly and were in and out. They were very thorough and efficient.

Honest crew who does what they promise. My wife and I got the furnace cleaned and inspected, with no surprise hidden fees or any tricks. We would definitely recommend these guys and will call them in the future if we ever need work done.

The plumber seemed professional and knowledgable, and was able to diagnose the problem with our plumbing fairly readily. He also worked cleanly and efficiently. However, he was late by a few hours both of the times that he came to our home for this issue (on both occasions we were told he would arrive between 9 and 10am, and on both occasions, *we* had to call in after the window had passed to inquire about the hold-up), so we weren't thrilled with timeliness or communication. Overall, we were pleased with the work done and happy to get our water restored, and we would likely use Rohde again in the event of another plumbing emergency.

The D. Rohde representative gave us a prompt estimate that was significantly lower than another vender we contacted. The workers arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally. They consulted with us about how best to handle the installation, and finished the job on time and slightly under budget. When we found that one of the units was leaking, they returned quickly and stayed until the problem was solved. We were very pleased with their work and recommend them highly.

D Rhode is a fantastic company. They were very prompt in returning my phone call to set up a date of service. He was able to schedule service timely and had no problem working with my work schedule. He arrived promptly and got to work right away, explaining everything he was doing, showing me all the components of the furnace (it's very old) and answered my questions without hesitation. He was very proficient, very knowledgeable, and very good at his work. He managed to disassemble the furnace components (necessary to clean it!) and cleaned out the duct that vents to the chimney and repaired the seal there. He was very tidy and even stayed to make sure that the furnace was working properly. I really appreciate how efficient he was and how well he cleaned and tuned-up our furnace. He even took time to answer all my questions about energy efficiency, different heating and cooling systems, and upgrades. I would not hesitate to call upon D Rhode for service again. The provider does not provide service to northern Ulster County even though their webpage clearly states they serve the Mid-Hudson Valley including Sullivan and Ulster Counties. Now I'm on hold w/ Angie's List to get a refund and left to my own devices to find another service provider for the work we need done.

I had a number things fixed/done by Dan. I had my well company come for a problem I was having with plumbing in the basement. They thought it could be a few different things, but said I needed to call in a plumber. I did not hae a plumber until now. I looked on Angie's list and found D. rohde heating and plumbing. Dan walked me through a few things on the phone, but needed more help than that. I had a company install a water softener and carbon filtration system about 2 1/2 years ago. Well they screwed things up apparently because the well company and Dan both agreed to that. He reran new plumbing lines with the correct shut-off valves and his works looks great. He even showed me a few fixes that I could do on my own since I am pretty handy. Well, everything is fixed now and he is even coming back to clean my furnaces in a week for an incredible price. We couldn't be happier and now have found our permanent plumber. Thanks Dan!!

When I first called, it was too cold to check the AC. I called back a month later and he was only too happy to reschedule. He checked my air conditioning system and cleaned out the mold. He checked the second unit too, although he didn't have too, and he cleaned the corrosion off the outside units.

I was very pleased with their service. Dan apologized for not being able to service me on Sunday. His partner was on vacation and he was on duty at fire house that day. Most important, Dan was excellent and I would recommend them and I have already done so.

All went very well. Just a small install issue that was rectified as soon as identified.
