They were able to schedule it within my preferred timeframe. The crew was very prompt and efficient. I used their coupon so the price was just right for a fairly new system that came with the condo we just bought. I wanted to make sure everything was okay before we experienced our first winter.

We chose D Rohde because of the good reviews here, but unfortunately we can't recommend them. We called about a problem with our furnace leaking water. We discussed fixing it versus buying a new system. We decided to fix for this season and they came to change a part. The first time we used the furnace for real, it still leaked water. After contacting them, Mr Rohde said the part they changed had nothing to do with the water leak which must be a separate problem. At this point we were more than curious as to why we paid them $600 to change a part that had nothing to do with our problem. Mr. Rohde said there must have been a miscommunication and that he'd call us to schedule a time to personally come review the leak. That was 2 months ago, and I'm afraid we've given up hope. In the meantime, I've fixed the leak myself. The upside is, the $600 part they changed which wasn't broken before is still working just fine.

I was happy the contractor was on time. The work was done in a timely fashion. . He even shown me, how i can prevent this for happening again.

Didn't charge for every little thing, just set cost preagreed to. Answered lots of questions and offered advice and estimates asked for. On time when scheduled for. Very helpful and professional.

This was the third time we have used D. Rohde Heating and Plumbing in the last few months but the first time I have written a review. We have been very satisfied with their service. Both the plumbers who have done work for us, Tom and Mike, are expert, professional, and courteous. On previous occasions they fixed a leaking toilet and a loose kitchen faucet (saving us the considerable expense of buying a new one). On the latest occasion, I had asked Tom to inspect whatever was visible in our plumbing system and make any recommendations he might have, in an attempt to prevent future problems. He kindly did so and recommended upgrading the fittings below the kitchen sink and behind the washing machine. We are very pleased with the promptness and quality of his work and highly recommend D. Rohde Heating and Plumbing.

I called at around eleven on November 9th because I had a leaking pipe in my basement. I attempted a repair myself and it didn't work out. I checked Angies list and found D Rohde Plumbing and AC had good reviews and so I contacted them. The call was answered by their answering service and I received a call back from the company very quickly. I was told that someone would be there between noon and 2 and Mike arrived at little bit after 2:00. Considering I requested same day service I was very pleased to have someone there so quickly. Mike really knew his stuff and was able to fix the problem and also explained to me some other things that should be installed to make resolving issues like this in the future a lot easier. He was also very personable and good with my kids who wanted to watch what was happening. If I have any issues or upgrades in mind in the future I would definitely call them and recommend them to family and friends Thanks again guys!

We hired Rohde because they recently did a very good job on an emergency repair. Because they did quality work at a fair price, we hired them again for a much bigger job. Dan was 100% professional from the estimate to the completion of the installation. When he came out to estimate the job, Dan provided several options for heating and cooling and took the time to explain the different advantages of each system, including the costs of installation and the costs of ownership over time. He worked with us to find a good heating solution to fit our needs and budget. Mike and the rest of the Rohde team did high-quality, professional work. The installation was much more complicated than anyone expected because of the way our barn is constructed. They figured out how to get the work done despite the obstacles at a very busy season for HVAC professionals. I'm totally satisfied with their work. I look forward to hiring Rohde again for our future HVAC and plumbing needs. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Just moved into house, heat had been off, we turned it on and it starts dripping a lot from the down spout. Just what you want on the first day in a new house! We quickly went on Angie's and found them. They called back next day and were able to come check it out. The tech was friendly and professional. Didn't take advantage of our situation. It was just a valve that needed to be tightened. Did make further recommendations, but stressed to us that it could wait, didn't try to sell us on it the same day. They saw we were stressed and eased our situation and didn't take advantage. Will get second opinion or estimate on other work they said may need to be done in future, but of course we would consider them again. Nice they didn't push us into anything and try to sell it as urgent.

The technician who inspected and serviced my furnace was very knowledgeable and honest in his assessment of my heating system and the service it needed. I would definitely use D. Rohde Heating and Plumbing again in the future for all of my heating and plumbing needs.

I was in the process of moving and wanted to put my house on the market before the new year. Timing was critical. Setting up the appointment took some back and forth with emails. On the service day, the technician called to confirm a few minutes before arrival. He was on time and ready to go. He was extremely neat and careful not make a mess. He kept me apprised as he went through each step of the process. I was so pleased with his effort and professionalism, I gave his number to the owners.

It turned out very good. The technician was very professional and he showed up on time. The estimate that he gave me was in line with what he said it would be. He was very complete and thorough in both installation and clean-up. Professional means courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. They were an A+. I had recommended them to my neighbor.

Came out quickly to investigate and provide an estimate and recommendation. Dan explained the work by phone and quoted a fair price for the work. The job was scheduled and completed on time. All work was done well and professionally. I would hire Rohde again for future plumbing needs.

The Tech arrived exactly on time, we discussed everything that need to be done. He cleaned and inspected the furnace. Any questions I had were answered in a way that I could understand. I would definitely use their service again.

We have not found it easy to get good people to work on Air Conditioning in Red Hook. After my call, Daniel came out personally to look at the job, which was in a hot, difficult crawl space above our kitchen. He recommended putting in a larger condensate pan, sloping it properly, cleaning out the discharge line, and installing a float switch that would shut off the A/C if the pan was not draining properly. He estimated it might take two men a half a day, and we agreed to the estimate. The men came as scheduled, but were through quite quickly, and originally said it was only $375.00, not $800.00 as estimated, but then said they were wrong and collected the full $800.00. We should have suspected that something was wrong then. Other contractors working on a kitchen remodel at the time told us a couple of weeks later that the pan was still not sloped correctly, that the insulation around the air handler was soaked, and that there was a float switch that had not been installed. This was a serious concern, as this was on a Friday, and we were leaving for the summer the following Tuesday. Daniel was very cooperative and responsive, and had another man out on Monday morning. It appeared that the original crew had not fully understood the job and not completed all the work properly. But the individual who came on Monday assured us that when he left everything was in good order. We returned home in September to find that the paint was blistered on the ceiling, right under the air handler. We called Rohde immediately, and he agreed to send another man out. When that individual came he got up in the space and found it completely dry and everything working properly. It appears that the work was indeed done correctly on the second visit, and the ceiling paint problem may have been from painting the ceiling while it was still damp from the original problem. Obviously we would have liked it if everything had been taken care of right the first time. But to Daniel's credit, he was always responsive and got it taken care of without complaint or extra charges. We are almost an hour travel time from their office, and appreciate the service. We would not hesitate to call and use them again in the future.

I had a faulty oil burner that was constantly on. I had a Home Warranty repair company come in and TOTALLY misdiagnose the problem, asking me to order a new electronics board and suggesting my system (System 2000...one of the best) wasn't up to par. Suspicious, I called D. Rhode immediately. Dan (the owner) answered, listened and told me he'd be up here tomorrow AM. Within minutes he diagnosed the problem (not the electronics), fixed it and made some additional repairs not seen by the previous guy. He was smart, courteous, informative and restored my faith in service contractors. AAA service. Use this guy. Thanks.
