About us

We Are Robison Oil, Westchester's largest full service oil company, has been serving the community since 1921. Robison enjoys the reputation of being Westchester's premier full-service company. In the early 70's, after the death of the founder E. Robison, the company was taken over by Mobil oil. In 1984, the Singer family, who had been in the heating oil business in the New York Metropolitan area since 1927, acquired the company. At that time, Robison serviced approximately 7,000 homes. Since 1984, under Singer management has grown to nearly 22,000 customers and 200 employees. Robison provides a variety of home services ranging from fuel oil delivery, oil heat service, HVAC service, Natural Gas supply, Natural Gas service and Electricity. Robison is currently regarded as the finest full service company in Westchester County.

Description of Work: They are extremely efficient and provide annual cleanings on my furnace. While I have an annual maintenance agreement with them, scheduling is very difficult and I have been told the wait can be upwards of 3-4 months for an appointment and they have cancelled appointments on me twice previously and did not call me back.

Description of Work: They replaced the oil heating furnace, the air conditioning equiptment & removed the underground oil tank. The new equipment is excellent, more energy efficient & it absolutely cost less to heat & cool my house.The "Gas Conversion" process was teidious & frustrating @ times. Con Edison,Plumbers, Mechanics, Village inspections & Bad weather. But I am glad I did it & happy it's over. |

Description of Work: Installed a replacement water softener and added an indirect hot water heater. Also cleaned up a plumbing nightmare created by prior owners. Arrived on time, got right to work. Robison sent a team of 4 who worked together along with an electrician. Space was tight; but they coordinated all the activities. They were all polite, neat and friendly. My only complaint is they used my brand new (unused) mop to clean up. I was saving it for my hardwood floors!! The entire team at Robison from the initial sales call, right to the final cleanup was terrific and the price was right. I love these guys and will continue to use them for all the services they offer. They also referred me to a highly rated contractor to do some other work; and they don't take a "cut" for the referral. Yea!!

Description of Work: Burner would not fire. Service call placed at 8am. Technician arrived at 11:15am and we were back in service by 1:45pm. Technician explained everything he was doing. Very courteous and professional.
