Petro was very professional and gave me a very competitive price on both the installation as well as a contract for my oil.

Petro for Propane is HORRIBLE. I just wanted to heat my pool for the begginning of the year and have paid through the nose and that is not enough for them. they now have stopped the oil in my home after I have been with them for 30 years without one complaint.

From our first contact by phone with Kelly in the office, to our first service Manor Fuel has be both professional and very helpful with our transition from our old oil company to Manor Fuel as our new company. We were even able to do a contract right on the phone.

I have been using their services since 2005. They are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week when you have a service contract with them. One thing I did not like is I always felt I had to negotiate pricing with them.

Had just bought our home and needed a supplier. After going back and forth over new customer pricing, they came in lowest. Equipment we have is new so we never needed any emergency service calls but never had to call for oil delivery since they had us on a delivery schedule and always professional.

Recently purchased a house, then one day we get going and *poof* no hot water; it's our first oil burner, but not our first rodeo, so I skip to the step of researching fuel oil. Petro didn't have _the_ lowest prices, but what they offered were prices that were lower than the (county provided) average for our area, and immediate service availability--big bonus when we had laundry, dishes and oh yeah _people_ needing to be cleaned! With the oil contract (standard to get provider contract to lock in prices) we also chose to get the service contract because the price more than covered what we would have to pay to get a service call to get the boiler back on, and this got us twice yearly service, too, and coverage for any unexpectedly necessary service visits for the year. Petro offered a three step process to solve our emergency: 1) get truck out to us within 24 hours to deliver small amount of fuel oil that could tide us over 2) send, with the truck, a guy to do the service visit to re-start boiler and make sure it kicked on 3) schedule within a week a full fuel oil delivery to fill the tank and get us set for the winter. Within 24 hours we had 1) fuel 2) service technician 3) hot water. (We also had a funny and embarrassing story about how the tank was coincidentally only ALMOST empty and the boiler actually shut off because "someone" flipped the light-switch-looking "emergency shut off to boiler" on their way into the basement--honest mistake, as it's only 8" from real light-switch. But the mistake was a no harm no foul situation because we now had the service contract, and the technician assured us that 1) it's not the first time he's seen it and 2) once the switch was flipped, we would have needed a service visit and 3) the tank was low enough that we would have needed the oil shortly regardless.) Petro also spreads the cost of the oil out over the year--advantage is that we know in advance what our monthly bill will be, disadvantage is that the owners prior had three times the people, so until we have a track history of using much less oil than "historical estimate" expectations, we're paying more monthly and won't see the lower bills till the start of next year.

They renigged on a contract for a new oil burner and I've had 14 or 15 service calls in 5 years. One time I lost heat during the winter and I was stuck for 2 days without heat before they sent someone out. The men who deliver the oil are courteous and I have nothing against them, it's the company/management that I have a problem with.

Excellent. The maintenece guy John was very helpful and detail oriented. He very carefully inspected, cleaned and serviced my heating system with patience in spite of my numerous questions interrupting him in-between.

It went terribly! A technician came twice, about 3 weeks apart to repair the gas burner. They replaced parts, although I was told by others, that the unit should be replaced due to salt water damage in the storm. After the second repair, LIPA scheduled an appointment to replace and raise my meter, after which they did a simple back flow test (a lit match near certain points to see that the air was flowing properly through the unit and chimney). Instead of the match getting blown out, the flame got sucked in showing that the chimney was entirely blocked. LIPA immediately put a lock on my gas as the situation was extremely dangerous, causing carbon dioxide to flow into my home and creating a high chance of fire or explosion. Petro admitted that their technician is required to perform this simple test. Not only did the technician fail to perform the test once, but a second time as well! This was December so I could not live in my house without heat. But more importantly, he put my family at great risk! I called Petro immediately. The supervisor I spoke with apologized and offered me a refund of my contract fee, which I have never received. I would NOT recommend Petro to anyone!

I like the service from Petro. They have long term employees and they seem to do a good job. They are reliable, there are the time 24/7, and they are an all encompassing heating and A/C company. They deliver oil at a cheap rate.

I am very happy with them. Anytime I have called them with an issue, they show up within a couple of hours. They honor their contract. My neighbors use them. They cap our oil at a certain price every year.

Petro is a blessing. I had a bad experience with Amerigas, so I looked for replacement. Found that for several years they were high on the “Top of L.I.” list of “L.I. Press”, so I contacted them. Initially I was (and still are…) a little suspicious regarding this list, but Petro proved to be really superior - in ALL aspects - price, professionalism, reliability, communication, service. I started just with Propane, then I started buying from them also heating oil, then assigned them the heating system\boiler service, and if encountering pluming problem, I’m planning on trying them also on this. During the 10 years I’m here in this country never met such a company. I know it sound too good to be true but it is.

On the phone, Petro was nice but the people who came over was not so great. They need to put an effort to inspect the whole system carefully enough. The just went out there and took a look and they said everything's fine. I don't feel like they're very responsible. I was not impressed by that guy's service.

I called and they came out. I think their price is fine. I like them because they came out quickly, is efficient, convenient and professional also. I would recommend them because of their price and how fast they are. I had no problems with me.

You have to bargain to get the best oil price.

We pay an annual contract fee for their service. I dislike the company because they wanted to do repairs and services on staffs that are not necessary.

They offer a variety of pricing options, which I renegotiate on a early basis. As with other companies,you need to request written confirmation of agreements, but overall have found them to be reasonable, responsive, and professional. UPDATE: Had a really awful time with their customer support and billing services. It takes multiple calls to get simple matters resolved. They tried to tack on a late payment fee for a service that I didn't ask for.

I haven't had any problems. When I call, they deliver promptly. They are usually out in a day or two.

We are on an automatic plan with them but since we have not been using a lot of oil they have not been around to fill our tank recently. We sign the contract yearly and continued with this company because the previous homeowners had them. From what I understand they are more expensive than other places but I have not had the time to comparison shop and I am happy with their service. We had one problem and they were out here right away. I will use them again in the future.

I am on a contract with them. They are very good, reliable and if there is an emergency, they are there.
