The Annual Oil Burner Efficiency Tune Up went extremely well. The technician, ViCosta, was on-time and had a great attitude, explaining the aspects of preventative maintenance.

Petro gives a free service agreement to new customers. I agreed. Why would anyone pay high prices for oil and agree to pay $200 for a service agreement? No one would. After a year I cancelled. They called me and begged me to come back, once again offering me a free service agreement. I agreed. This went on for another couple of years. Then I decided to cancel for good and buy oil cheaper from a local company that offers discount oil on the internet. Petro decided to send me a bill for $200 and threaten to put me in collections. After I cleared it up with their Plainview, NY office, I keep getting threats from their corporate office. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. If that does not work I will turn it over to my attorney. I will not sit for this type of harassment. I suggest you find a company that IS Not a corporate conglomerate.

Petro sells you a service contract that is absolutely worthless. They don't cover items that break. Company is constantly cancelling appointments. One appointment was from 8-12. They called me at 2 and said they couldn't make it. Company said definitely in 2 days and then cancelled that. Once my contract is up, i am done with them. Thinking of converting to gas.

They could not get the exact model we agreed on at the time of sale. The people that do the installation are outsourced. They people installed and and did not do the proper checks and left. We started getting water in our basement. We complained about that and they eventually fixed it after a few visits. They realized it was there fault so they took the hit on the additional parts. It is just stuff that customers should not have to go through.

There was an issue & they fixed it promptly. Cleaned furnace We've never had a problem with the service. We have a service contract with them. We have a service contract there was no charge. Very cordial, friendly service. They get their service technicians out asap,they get the work done they are neat. They clean up when they are done and don't leave a mess behind.

We have had them for many years now. I don't remember if they put the air conditioning in. I know that we have had them several years now every year to check the working order. That's all I remember. We have had them for several years. It's difficult for me to say what I would tell a friend or family member because I don't take care of those things you know. I know we have them. If somebody asks who do you have I would say that's who we have and we are satisfied, that's it.

It wasn't any cost. We have an ongoing service contract with them. It's an oil company, I wouldn't say it's competitive. You're going to find it's going to be that much of a difference. You'll buy oil from the same market. We've been using them since we've been in the house.

They come out once a year. I have a contract to buy oil. They deliver the oil when I need it, and service the unit.I think they have a decent price. It's hard to tell the price, it depends on the end of the season, either I have to pay them or they owe me. They come out when I need service. I don't have any problems. They're on time. They know what they're doing. If I have a problem, they fix it. Overall they're a small town company. They're one of the biggest on the East Coast.

They deliver oil based on the weather. The deliver automatically. I call them when I want maintenance done. It's free maintenance, part of the contract.

We have a full service maintenance contract with them. We have used them for the past 10 years.

Very responsive, very good. On time, punctual, they clean up, they do everything right.

Even in the aftermath of a hurricane, the Petro folks were polite, nicely uniformed, expert at what they did, thorough, punctual, and just a delight.

They quoted a higher price than another company and it would take longer to do, so I went with another company.

They did a good job. They can be a bit slow and pricey. Expensive and not there when you need them.

Repair was completed on time and correctly.

They came and fixed the heating. That was well done. Then I had them for about a year taking care of the boiler, but I went back to the original service provider. A little pricey but very good. They were very responsive. They seemed to know what they were doing. I had other people look at it and gave me all kinds of crazy answers, Petro Oil came in, diagnosed it and fixed it in a day.

I have an annual service contract with them. Everything works. I haven't had that much experience with them. When they cleaned my oil burner, I have a big plastic tote basket which I use to put my laundry in because the laundry room is down the basement. It was very clean because I use it for clean laundry. I noticed that after he finished doing the service, it was full of junk, dust, dirt and all that. That really bothered me that he couldn't have moved that out of the way. I just had to put it outside. It's really annoying. I thought that was not very professional. It wasn't right in front of the oil burner, it was next to the dryer and I didn't have any idea he was going to be blowing stuff all over. To me, part of doing the job is to keep everything clean. That was really a per peeve for me. Other than that, as far as the consistency, heating seem to work fine. They're very reliable about delivering the oil. I also got set-up on the budget system now. I just moved-in in February, I haven't gone through a whole Winter so we just paid as needed. Now, I'm on the budget plan. They got me set-up for $200 am month. It's an estimate so that I'll have the same amount every month. I don't if it's going to turn out to be accurate or not but that was good. Other than that, I don't have any problems with them.

Horrible. I was called back very quickly. The guy on the phone was very accommodating and had me send him pictures of the job to be done. It was a simple switch out the old gas pool heater for the newer model I already purchased. We agreed on the price over the phone and set an appointment for that Friday. When he arrives here he is wearing office attire. I told him I thought he was overdressed to install the pool heater. He informed me it was not the installation date but rather the date to go over the contract and for him to actually see the work needed. He then pulls out a pre-written contract with a price 8 times the amount agreed. When I questioned him he said he wouldn't have wasted his time for that amount I told him to leave and I will never be using this company nor will I ever recommend them

Well the worse experience was last year I needed a part they brought it here left it told me it didn't work they have to get another and asked if I mind if the man was going on vacation for a week so I figure a week is fine three weeks later they showed up the part wasn't the right part it was a mess for about five weeks. I have no problem whatsoever with the heating, the heating as been wonderful.
