The only issue I have had was 3 days before the contract ended I received several calls that were very rude telling me I need to clean snow because they needed to deliver (Unscheduled - all of my deliveries have been pre scheduled prior)

Description of Work: Installed new hot water heater. Salesman was responsive to my needs, made a house-call and provided useful suggestions about the best water heater for my home. After the house call he returned my calls promptly and set-up the installation within 24 hours. Other contractors either did not return my calls or were not willing to make a house call to determine the best water heater for my home. The installation team arrived on time, worked quickly, communicated clearly, and were neat and polite. Overall I was very impressed with the level of service from beginning to end. In addition, Petro's prices were competitive and I know from past experience that they have a very good team of service technicians should we need a service call in the future. I will definitely use Petro again.

Description of Work: The fuel Oil was O.,K., but the service was very bad! They installed a new thermostat which never worked right. They came at least 4 and probably 5 times to "fix" it, but it just never did. Last Wed & Thur it continued day heat at night. Last night I turned it down to night heat with a "next" which was supposed to turn the furnace down to night heat at the next scheduled change time. However, it did not turn back on this a.m. When I called for a service man to come and fix it, they said the first available would be tomorrow! I am cancelling my contract with them.

Description of Work: I have been a customer for over 40 years. Petro(monarch oil in the beginning) was always professional and the service was excellent. However, I am finding that I am paying much more for a gallon of oil than are my neighbors. I have a sevice contract with Petro for annual cleanings and other services that might be needed. This past year my annual cleaning appointment had to be canceled due to storm sandy and no power. I was rescheduled for February 22, 2013. My furnace has not been cleaned since October of 2011! I called Petro to ask if they could move up the cleaning appointment since the furnace had not been cleaned for almost 14 months. I was told there were no available appointments and was put on a list in case of a cancellation. My loyalty for over 40 years with Petro certainly was not rewarded with an immediate furnace cleaning. I have decided to actively pursue contracting another oil company for two reasons...the cost factor of a gallon of oil, and the fact that Petro could not do the annual cleaning sooner. Petro has been excellent for the years that I have been with them, but it is time to find another company.
