Professionally installed; good clean-up, polite and completed in one day

Less than half the estimate from another supplier. They sent someone out to evaluate our situation promptly, and gave us a cost-effective approach that represented an intelligent consolidation of what we had had previously. Repairs were scheduled in a timely way and the repair crew was punctual, professional, and courteous.

They did a really good job. They are courteous and they made a follow up. I had no problems with them.

It went very well.

When our furnace blower broke down on a Friday ahead of a freezing weekend, Clarkstown came out and rigged a new motor to keep the heat on until we could fix the problem. TJ then laid out our options (new motor / blower, new furnace options (as ours was 40 years old) and what the different ratings would do to our energy bills. We picked the option that worked for us and scheduled a date. Within two weeks the team came in, replaced the unit, ran new duct work, a new return vent, added a humidifier and installed a new thermostat. All in one day. Honestly if I didnt see the work I would not know the team had been here, the place was spotless in both the basement and the dining room. Cannot recommend highly enough, wont look elsewhere when I get round to installing central air.

The service technician determined that the furnace heat exchanger had rusted out and the furnace needed replacement. The work was scheduled within days of signing the contract. The day of installation, the installation technicians arrived on time, as scheduled. Their work was neat and clean with the installation of the new furnace, thermostat, and portions of the duct work. They tested the system upon completion and removed all debris, packaging, and other materials.

I had previously gotten a written estimate from Bruce on September 28th and decided to make an appointment to have the work done at that time. Pat arrived on time, got right to work . He installed the baseboad and checked to make sure it was working. He left everyting clean, did not leave any mess. The room is now warmer and we are very satisfied. We have used Clarkstown in the past and always been satisfied with their service.

It was a pleasure and a relief to have someone actually answer my call when I had a heating emergency recently. They set up an appointment for the same day, had a technician arrive on time and completed the job within two hours. Initially, the tech thought it would be an expensive part but realized, after much trouble-shooting, that a part that was recently installed by another company was defective and just needed replacement. We were relieved to find out the cost to us was minimal in comparison and really appreciated this company's honesty. I would definitely use this company again.

From the moment of the estimate to the last day of the job, Clarkstown and the various experts it sent to do the job were so professional and caring in their work. It was a massive job to do and they did it so well and systematically. They left each day with the house so cleaned up that you would not known they had even been there. The systems work so well. They had to trouble shoot on a number of things that had been problems in the past with our old equipment and those are now solved. They did the work on time and as to the schedule that they stated, and they checked everything many times to make sure everything was in good working order before the last day of final inspection.

Company telephoned ahead to say the technician was on his way at the appointed time. Technician was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He seemed to do a thorough job in the approx 2 1/2 hours on the job. He tested system and system has worked efficiently since the technician left.

Service was extremely prompt, and as on previous occasions, very professional. The technician was thorough, careful and polite. He took the time to instruct us on the maintenance of the humidifier units while he was there, though that was not part of the service call. I am happy to recommend them.

Found them very professional and lovely to work with. Ended up using someone else because the other company would provide electricians and other trades required to complete the project and filed for rebates for me. Would consider using Clarkstown in the future though.

He immediately went to the capacitor located at the outdoor compressor and found it to be burnt out. He replaced it and got the system working again. He then wrote up a bill for $109 service call (which i was expecting) plus $262 plus tax for the capacitor! I told him that I knew that capacitors cost much less money and that I was going to call his office. He asked me to sign that the work had been completed which I refused to do. I went into the house to grab my portable phone because I wanted to place the call in front of the technician. When I called the office they immediately offered to reduce the bill by $50.00. It seems that the technician had already called his office to warn them. I stated that I felt that they were still over charging by a great deal. He then offered to remove the service charge of $109 and just charge the $262 plus tax for the part. I felt that I was still overpaying but agreed to it just to end it at that point.

I called many companies attempting to get a bid. A few came to the house, but most did not. Rosemary, from Clarkstown Heating and Air, showed up and spent quite a bit of time at our house going over unit selection, types of units and the benefits of each unit. She was very polite and did not go into a hard sell, and did not become pushy. My wife and I felt very comfortable with her, so the following week we signed the contract. The installers came in on time and worked straight through for two days. Rosemary found a way to suspend the unit to my floor. Now the unit is four feet above the floor, with the regular amount of water I get, it should really help cut down on future repairs. They did not leave a mess and they even taught my wife how to use the new thermostat. Me being a guy, of course, did not need any help with how electronics work. :) I would without a doubt have them back at my house, and I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Clarkstown did a great job. They showed up on time and worked as long as they could before stopping and leaving the last of the job for the next day. I was very pleased with the work, service and the price. I will call them in the future for service.

The price was very good compared to most other estimates. Work was performed on schedule, in a single day as requested. Cleanup was fair. The installer did disrupt a couple of electric wires in the attic and was unable to figure out how to reconnect them. His supervisor came at the next convenient day (for me) and repaired everything satisfactorily.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY CAME, DID THEIR WORK AND WERE VERY NEAT AND CLEAN ABOUT IT. THE GENTLEMEN THAT DID THE WORK WERE VERY QUICK AND DID A GREAT JOB ON THE WORK.
