Pleasant to work with. Hard to judge quality of the chimney repointing and caps until I have seen a few weather events. So far looks fine.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I gave the Company 1 star because there was no option for zero stars. The brick fireplace work performed was sloppy and unprofessional. The mortar joints in the brick were not finished. Concrete was poured on top of the bricks and left to dry. Concrete eventually ran down the side of the bricks

Jacob and Chris were excellent to work with, as well as the customer service team. Estimate was quick and easy and the team showed on the scheduled date. They worked through the scorching heat to make sure that everything was now up to code for our old chimney. They removed all the degrading bricks, built it all back up to the original design, installed a new liner and cap, and made sure that everything was connected to our furnace correctly. Cleanup was also thorough. You'd have never known they has been there besides the fact that you could see our spanking new chimney! Jacob was honest about the extent of disrepair things were in, and he was certainly correct. Since getting the chimney fixed I've no longer been experiencing the severe headaches that began when we moved in. I am writing this review about two months after the job. Turns out the fumes leaking into the house were really doing a number on me! Thank you Jacob and Chris, for saving our house and my health!

They showed up, gave me an estimate, and then were able to complete the work right then and there. Friendly, knowledgeable, very responsive when I was setting up the appointment.

Shamrock Chimney has no communication. I finally got the technicians out to take a look at the chimney after having 3 appointments. I never received communication that the techs were not coming until I called and they made an excuse about every day is a different day. I think another way to say they have no idea. They finally arrived on a Saturday did very little testing and told me I need a new cap and it would no longer leak. I purchased the new cap and with a week we had rain and it leaked more than previously. I called Shamrock back and they set up another appointment for a week later. Again a no show and so I called and the technicians were not scheduled to be in the area when I asked why I was scheduled then, again another excuse about operations not talking to the schedulers. So they scheduled me for a week later. Again no show so I called and was told it was raining so they had to reschedule. It was not raining at my house so they could have moved on if they could no longer work 20 minutes down the road from me. So I asked to talk to a supervisor or something as this had gone on long enough, I was told they would submit a request for operations to call me and they would send the techs out the next day on Saturday. Again a no show! Now when I call I get a voice man which I never received until I ask to talk to a supervisor. This is the worst customer service I have seen. I can no longer reach them and they won?t call me back after several voicemails left. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with as each time they give you a varying time to only make excuses to cover the incompetence of the scheduling and this operations team that apparently if what everything is blamed on.

I plan on using their services again. Professional, and customer oriented. Extended a sale on services when they had to reschedule outside of the sale period. Excellent communication. I didn't have to wait to find out they were running late. The office called me as soon as they knew. A new appointment was set immediately, with guarantees that the sale price would hold. Also a local company. No issues with traveling to get to my home, etc. All good.

Labor rate is on the high side.

Personable employees, completed the job quickly (repair chimney exterior, required removing and replacing damaged bricks, repointing, installing flashing). Good communications with office team arranging the work and rescheduling due to weather issues.

Leaked at the first major rainstorm and no-call, no-show twice to re-inspect their work. They missed two appointments to address their work, so I have allowed them an opportunity to make things right. Update (Dec. 2023): F-rated by the BBB Angi can not help you. We pay them. They work for us. James of Shamrock on Dec. 14, while still trying to resolve the matter. Update (March 2024): Angs mediator has not been able to get everyone into a resolution meeting now for six months, so I passed my diary of events and photos along to the Maine Attorney General Office of Consumer Protection.

Excellent service. Prompt and professional with text alerts and responses. Great company.

They called me after only about 15 minutes from my initial contact with Angiâ s. Patrick and Jeff came out the very next day which was a Saturday. I thought they were coming just to give us a quote but they said they could do the job then. We hired them and within 3 hours the job was done. The chimney was relined and they repointed the top bricks and fixed the flashing. They were professional, friendly and courteous. We are waiting for a heavy rain but I feel very confident that there will be no leaks.

The two workers showed up a bit late (but we were notified they would be). Very nice guys. Said they could do the tuckpointing on our chimney right then. I thought their price was high for what was basically 2 hours work for two people. But I'd had a hard time finding anyone to do tuck pointing, so went ahead and had them do the work. Seems like they did a good job. It's hard to know without climbing up on our very steep roof. We will know in the coming year or two if their efforts solved our water and leaking problems on our chimney.

They were here for 1 hour and put liquid tar around the chimney and cement around the chimney cap. Then gave me a bill for $1,200.00!!!! I guess I was in shock and paid them. I was so upset afterwards that my son contacted them. After a long discussion they finally agreed to $600.00 which I feel was still way too much. I contacted a roofer because of a leak in shed. He came twice and he charged $150.00. He told me ahead of time he didn't t really work on chimneys, he works on slate roofs which we have. He had put sealant around but didn't see any openings where it was leaking. I sent him photos Shamrock took of openings around the chimney and the original person said they weren't there when he was up there a couple of weeks earlier. I would NEVER recommend Shamrock Chimney to anyone.

Fast, professional, and personable. Shamrock gave me a quote within a week of contacting them, scheduled me for the next week, then finished the job within a few hours. I will be using them if I need any work in the future.
