Hired them to repair leaking chimney. They installed $4500 liner that their employee, Patrick, said would stop leak. It didn't. We won a $4500 (plus costs) small claims judgement in CT which they have not acknowledged. They are located in Patchogue, NY, and service Connecticut also. Stay away from this company!

Stay away from this company. I hired them to perform brick pointing and install a chimney cap. They were so sloppy they spilled cement all over my roof and patio stone. They did not protect my property with any tarps. This is an image of the chimney cap that had been installed. They did not use the correct size and filled in the opening with roofing shingles. I discovered this when flying a drone to take a closer look. When contacting them to repair, they keep rescheduling. No regard for your property at all. You have been warned.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. They are a complete scam!!! Check BBB before going with this company. They damaged our brick and charged our credit card without permission. Run far away from this company! Horrible company!!!!

Shamrock Chimney was the best company I ever dealt with installing my chimney and liner. Very professional they explained everything detail by detail. They were also very clean with getting rid of the old chimney. I highly recommend Shamrock Chimney.

Do Not Hire this SC**M Bag Company, They Ripped me off for 1000K , SAID HE WOULD SEE ME IN COURT IN 7 Years , did not want to refund ANYTHING Complete Liar in a bait and switch operation ! Research on BBB if you don't believe me !

Justin and Kevin did a great job repairing the chimney and installing a liner. Quick thorough service and easy scheduling as well. From start to finish they were great.

Work was beautifully done. The chimney was ground and repointed from the flashing up; Flashing was sealed to the roof to stop water penetration; a new stainless steel cap was installed 20 3/8 x 45 1/4; waterproof masonry with a 10-year warranty. I had several other estimates and none of them came close to this. The price was very reasonable. If there is a way to upload a file larger that 5MB, I have one I would like to have published.

They did not do the job property and need to back to fix it or give our money back to pay someone else to fix it.

Great work - go with them if you are in doubt!

Update as of 2024. The summer of 2022 I did file a consumer complaint with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. I was able to successfully sue Shamrock Chimney for the costs I incurred to repair their non-code compliant abomination after about a year of litigation. I hope it hurt the scumbag owners wallet. I will never get over my experience with "John" the owner and his sycophant "employee" Evan. AVOID May 10, 2022Previous review I hired Shamrock to install a Class A chimney for an indoor wood burner. The first day they didn't show up until 1:00PM and left around 5:00PM and hardly did anything. After two days they returned at noon time and kept working until 1:30AM. This was frankly a little weird and gave me the impression quality could suffer. The installers had little knowledge of basic fire code. I had to remind them constantly to maintain a 2" clearance to combustibles. The installer brushed me off and stated he's been doing this for 20 years. I now need to cut and re-direct a drain pipe because of less than 6" clearance for double walled stove pipe and the chimney transition. I had the impression they had no idea what they were doing as they started asking me questions how to do the job. This was the reason I hired Shamrock as I wanted a pro to do it the right way. This did not inspire confidence. After this I felt like I needed to babysit them the entire time or risk even more damage to my home after making an unnecessary cut into my home. When it was done, the chimney ended up failing inspection due to lack of proper height and clearance to the roof line. This is in addition to the combustible clearance issue in the basement. I had to argue with both the installer and the manager that the chimney needed to be 10' away from the roof plus 2' higher than that. This is basic NFPA 211 fire code for chimneys. The manager lied and said this is what the manufacturer specified as a cop out. I looked up the Selkirk website and confirmed what both the inspector and myself already knew. I found it disturbing that I had more knowledge of this than the installers or Manager, especially when they argued with me. I pity those who have a house burned down because of their ignorance. Any reputable company would return to correct a failed inspection. I have been ghosted by Shamrock after they failed the inspection for the Chimney. If you want to hire a company that won't finish a job then Shamrock is a sure bet. I now have to finish this job myself because 1. They won't call me back after promising to twice and 2. I frankly don't want them back because now I'm pissed off and won't pay them another dollar. I would not recommend Shamrock as they have no understanding of NFPA 211 or basic fire code for chimneys. They refuse to correct a failed inspection item. The fact they are being trusted to install systems that have the potential to burn your house down is frightening. Not to mention they are NOT cheap to hire.

Good decent people to work with eventhough they're a bit pricey for the work they did.

Joe was an absolute professional installed new liner and cap in and on my older brick chimney explained everything before work was done, clean and respectful work areas did more then he had too Thank yo Paul Montalvo

Had a leak coming from under my boiler. Called Shamrock they came the next day. Jose took pictures and explained everything. We had puff back into the basement. We had water leaking from the flu which had three large holes and was close to collapsing. We had holes in the chimney covered with moss. They did an amazing job and now we wonâ t be getting water on the basement and no more wasting oil from the boiler constantly running. Thank you Jose and Javier.

He was quick, did a pretty good job, price was a little high.

Was gonna charge 1500 way off from the original price. Got it down to 1,100 still off. Did not complete the job been going on 3 weeks now probably wont get them out and they have been severely dodging a time or day to get out and get over here. Only been excuses after excuse. Do not hire them. You will be down money and still have issues with your house

They did a good job but the cost was high. They were on time and it didn't take very long to complete the work.
