Ben was professional and efficient and he did a GREAT job -- really, he was outstanding. Couldn't be happier with our new lights. We have used this company in the past and will use them again in the future. No drama, just good work that is now completed and can be taken off my "to do" list.

The price was very reasonable. The owner Raf (Rafael) was a true gentleman as well as a true professional. His team of Ruben, Eddie and Eto were also gentlemen and professionals. Everyday they were here they cleaned up before they left. They were here for three days and by the time they left they felt more like family then people working on our house. A GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN WITHOUT QUESTION

I called on Thursday July 16th around 5 pm and left a message explaining my situation, which was what seemed like a tripped circuit switch situated in my 1928 co-op apartment with no power to areas connected to such and another switch with no power which did not trip. Switches are totally at on position and still no power. Received a call back within 10-15 min which I missed and went to voicemail. Amanda left a message stating their fee was $150 per hr plus any materials needed and if I was interested she could try to set up an appointment for the next day. I called back the next day, Friday around 10:30 am and spoke with Amanda. I made sure the price was what she stated, and what service was involved in that first hr (basically troubleshooting and resolving the problem if possible) she took my address info and said she would get back to me to see who would be available in my area to do the job the same day. Received a call back around 11:10 am and was told that when the first available technician was done with the current job he will come to me next. No exact appointment time was given. While I waited I shopped around just in case they could not get to me on the same day. I called 2 other electricians in the area, not from Angies List. The first quoted me $125 an hr but his usual price was $150 an hr he spoke fast and immediately asked for me to text him my info and stated that he would try to swing by and worst case scenario would be by the end of the day. I explained that I would prefer an appointment and all of a sudden he says he could do 3pm. I stated I just wanted an estimate and that I didn’t expect him to come out the same day then I thanked him for his time. On my second phone call, a female answered and when asked what the hourly rate was she said “I’m really not sure, but if you leave me your name and number I can have someone get back to you.” I thanked her but said no thank you. What was I thinking?! After those two phone calls I felt that I had made the best choice with Angies List. I decided to stick with my choice of someone from Angies List with largely positive reviews. At around 12:50 I called again to get an update and a possible ETA. Amanda once again answered the phone and explained that it all depended on how long the first job would take, which is understandable and I was grateful that they were trying to add me on. I stated that if they were too busy to arrive today that it may be best to set up an appointment for next week. Amanda said she would try to get an ETA from the worker. Received a return call within 10 min stating that they have no ETA but that they will be arriving today and if I wanted to push it for next week it would not be until Wednesday. She went on to say that she was on her way out of the office and that her bosses and the technician have my info and one of them would be in touch with me. Received a call at 2:39 from Ben stating that he just finished a job and was on his way to me and should be arriving in about half an hour. I asked him to please give me a call if he would be a little longer and he did. He let me know he was in a little traffic and was at my home within the next 10 minutes. Ben came in a company van prepared with PPE and tools on hand. He listened to my explanation of my problem and started to check and explain the wiring and circuits. He was extremely informative and answered every question I had to my satisfaction. The fix was something he was able to determine impressively quickly and was done within the hour. He proceeded to fill out a work order with a 3% discount and wrote down exactly what he did. Nothing more nothing less. I was prepared to pay with CC but nobody was at the office to take my info so he asked me to call back on Monday for the info. Gladly. I must say this was an experience that really left me wanting more. I would definitely call them again to do any work in my 90 yr old plastered wall co-op. The communication with Amanda and Ben was above par and Ben was extremely friendly, professional and informative. Thank you High Q Electric for your service! Stay safe!!

Made our house safer. Two different people made mistakes, one wiring of an appliance and the other one wiring of an outlet! Eddie and Ruben analyzed the problems and corrected the lousy work done by others. We appreciated their work ethic. Job well done!

Eddie came today and did a fantastic job to fix a series of issues that another electrician balked at, didn’t realize were actual issues, or couldn’t fix. I had open grounds, faulty wiring in light switches, reversed hot/neutral wires, and GFCI outlets that needed to be installed. Eddie took his time to find the source of the issue (a painful process), and there was not ONE HOLE made in any of our walls. It was remarkable. He also took the time to explain to me where a previous electrician had gone wrong, why things were not up to code, and his process for troubleshooting in a non-disruptive and efficient manner. The next time someone is looking for an electrician, please don’t hesitate to contact High Q.

I had work performed by Eddie at High Q Electric on my recently purchased house and have nothing by positive things to say about the quality of their work. My work included fixture installation and switch repairs and replacement. Scheduling the appointment was easy and quick - I was able to get an appointment in roughly a week and they are responsive on the phone and through email. The quality of the work was excellent and the price was a good value compared to other providers I looked at. Eddie was on-time, efficient, took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, willing to answer questions, and did a high quality job. I had him look at other future projects and he gave me honest and thorough assessments - I will definitely use them again.

High Q was awesome! Our technician arrived right on time, explained his troubleshooting process clearly, and knocked out the problem very quickly -- we had power back on in the basement very quickly after he inspected and repaired a receptacle/outlet in minutes. I was VERY happy with the entire process from start to finish. He even improved the door on a fuse box in the garage so that it hangs more securely!

Excellent job! Returned my call immediately. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Went out immediately and bought the motor for the attic fan and returned quickly to put it in. Very neat and cleaned up after the work was done. Would definitely hire again.

Work went well. Eddie and Rubin were very knowledgeable and profession. Explained everything as we went along and offered suggestions. Hard working guys. Cleaned up as they went along.

I met with Raf first for an estimate and two days later (next day was offered but didn’t fit my schedule), Ben came to perform the work. Raf estimated 3 or 4 hours of work with about $60 to $90 of supply, Ben needed 3.5 hours and used $70 of supplies. Raf was right on time for the estimate, Ben was 45 minutes late. Both were common sense friendly, professional and pleasant to work with. Their office manager Amanda, btw, is equally pleasant, accommodating, and follows through with calling back. They’re going to be my first call next time I need an electrician!

Rafael and his team (Christine in the office making the arrangements and Ben who did the installation) were all top notch. Great vibes from everyone, the price was fair, the communication was terrific, they were punctual, the job got done when they said it would, and the finished product looks great. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have used High Q and I was very happy with the work they performed. They were very professional, prompt and even followed up after the service to make sure I was happy with it. They also came in slightly under their estimate. I find them to be very trustworthy which I find hard to find these days. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and neighbors.

In a word, exceptionally. They were prompt, efficient with the time onsite, highly professional and friendly to boot. The consultation was performed in-person in my home with their senior electrician. It was seamless, and the quote he gave me was reasonable for a higher-end electrician. When the service was performed a few days later their technician was eager and capable. He finished both items in less time than the estimate, and came in under their quoted rate due to this. Honest, high-quality work and easy to deal with through and through. Granted the work was fairly simple, but even so this was an overwhelmingly positive experience for me, a first time home owner with a pitiful level of electrical know-how. I will be calling them back in a few months to do some more work for me.
