High Q Electric

Poorly, aside from good communication and showing up on time, but that is were the positive ends. They sent what seemed to be a novice at electrical work, because he was taking forever in my bedroom to just put on a new cover and the plugs. I have even done this type of work in my old house, and this type of thing takes maybe 10 minutes tops...he took over 25 minutes for just this one. I should have just stopped him there, but he slowly, slowly continued to do 2 more in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and hallway. The bill came to a shocking $800+, with a slight amount off since my mother was a senior. Way, way too much. For a little bit more I could have just updated the entire electrical panel to the house! I called to complain, but they did nothing to make it right. In addition, just to save money I had to clean up the mess as he just took too long. UPDATE: 2 of the installations have since failed, so had to have them fixed by another company (who was much more reasonable!)

Everything went very smoothly. The electric work was mostly completed in one day and the few minor things that were not were completed the following morning. We are very satisfied and have already had them back to do more work.

Highly recommend! Rafael and Christine were great to work with. All assigned electricians were knowledgable, worked quickly and always left our home neat and clean. Still have additional electrical projects but High Q has been unresponsive and/or not interested in continuing this work.

Everyone was just what you would want from people working in your house: pleasant, communicated well, put down cloths to create as little mess as possible and then cleaned up after themselves, offered to dispose of replaced materials and were super friendly and answered all of my questions. Went above and beyond. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend them.

It was great! A few days before Christmas, I called to set up an appointment. Rafael came out and told me my request could be done as soon as possible. Two days later, my chandelier was installed and looks great in the foyer. My foyer is now complete! I want to thank Rafael and Christine for accommodating me on such short notice, especially before a holiday.

Eddie and Franklin were on time. They put plastic down where they worked to keep it as clean as possible. They did all the work under the 8 hours that was estimated and they managed to do it without doing anything to the drywall that would have to be patched up later. This is the second time the team has done work at my house and would use them for all my electrical work.

Took a little bit more time than originally expected but great service and communication.

Excellent! After researching ten electricians on Angie's List and receiving quotations from the three companies whose reviews I liked best, I chose High Q. One of the best decisions I made when selecting subcontractors for our project. Rafael and his team are absolute professionals. Starting with Rafael (High Q owner) - he is an expert, fair and absolutely trustworthy. He steered me away from certain projects and helped me to focus on "what was important" as we renovated a 1917 Victorian house. Rafael's estimates were always accurate and he never proceeded with new work without first having a detailed consultation with me. His crew showed up on time every day, worked efficiently, cleaned up at the end of each day solved any unexpected challenge thrown their way with such an old house. Please keep in mind, electrical work is not cheap, but Rafael was always fair, and quite frankly I truly believe you get what you pay for when it comes to this type of highly-trained work.

We are very happy with their work High Q did in our kitchen. Professional, honest and responsive from beginning to end. Every time I contacted Christine she would reply efficiently and was always willing to work with our crazy construction schedule. We never felt talked down to as new homeowners with all our newbie questions. When a plug did not function as expected after the work was done, they sent someone immediately SAME DAY to triage and fix it. Chris who took on out project personally was always on time, knowledgeable and friendly to talk to. Rafael was professional throughout from day one to the final walk through. Since we are new to the area and had no idea who to choose for our electrical work we are very pleased with our choice and would absolutely use them again for any future electrical projects. We thank Joe Plitnick (plumbing) for the recommendation. To top it off, our final bill for the electrical work was significantly LOWER than expected! They could have easily just wrote the final bill close to the estimated quote but I truly appreciate their honesty and ethics in this situation. Thank you!

Very good but the pricing was high. I probably should have been clearer on the pricing. Ralph quoted a price of $125 for what I thought was the first hour. I just assumed that afterwards it would be lower. My mistake. Apparently the message didn't get to the tech either as he charged me a much lower rate for the four hours of service. Then he came back and begged forgiveness and ask me to pay the higher rate of 125 for each hour. I was blown away. This was exclusive of materials on which he tacked on a significant overhead cost. I oils use this provider again but only after I confirmed pricing and it was indeed the lowest bid.

I was really pleased with the service because I had tried to call a number of people and they didn't service that area of Brooklyn county so they came and did it because I was leaving town. Now one of the things that happened was when they were putting in the fluorescent light the technician ended up damaging the sheetrock. So, I had to have somebody come in and I had not told the owner this. I had another company come in and fix the sheetrock. I asked the technician about it and he told me I had to take care of that but it happened when he was trying to pull out the little screw when he was fixing the fluorescent light. They were later than he said he would be.

Terrific experience overall. A team rolled up on time and descended on the house. Tasks were efficiently delegated with head guy coming several times to inspect. Even came back to fix something slightly outside the scope as it seemed related to their work.

Met with the owner Rafael, who was very professional, punctual and most important very thorough. He took his time to explain what he thought would be best and walked me through the steps of what would be done. I got my estimate very fast from his office and scheduling was very easy. They are very responsive both by phone and by email. When the his guys showed up the owner was there to set them up and came back several times to check on their work and also asked if we were happy with the ways things were going. Overall best experience I have had with an electrician and the best part was they were very professional and cleaned up the whole job site when they were done. His invoice was true to his estimate and was very reasonable. Look forward to working with High Q Electric for work I need to be done in the inside of my house this summer.

Rafael came to see us to discuss the work that needed to be done. He told us the cost and the time it would take to complete the job. The work progressed as planned. All the workers that I came in contact with were courteous, punctual, and worked diligently. The office staff (Christine) was exceptional. All emails and or phone calls were quickly answered. It was a pleasure to work with this company . We would certainly call them again and would not hesitate to recommend them. .

Raphael is a pleasure to work with. Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He gave us a quote, and a few weeks late (could have been done sooner, that was when we were available) his men came to install. it ended up taking 2 hours longer than estimated but our house is old and all work seems to take longer than expected. so far, light works great!

Raf was very fair with his pricing and his scheduling. He came in performed the job. Cleaned up and charged what he said he would charge. I am very satisfied with his service and will be using him again in the future for any other project aswell as recommending him to friends and family Thank you Raf

It went well. I even called Rafael back a few months later when my AC wouldn't start and he came, free of charge, and helped me pinpoint what it was and wouldn't take so much as a tip. Great customer service.

Our older home had outdated electric on the second floor and one outlet in most rooms. Rafael and his team tackled the job in two days, updated all of our old wiring added outlets as needed and did it all with minimal impact to the house. Rafael was attentive and walked me through the whole process. Thank you High Q for a job well done.

I've been holding off changing my home electrical service because I just couldn?t find the right electrical contractor that I felt would perform the quality of work I was expecting. I pretty much went through 3 electricians until Ralph at High Q Electric was referred to me. What separates Ralph and his team vs. the other electricians? Responsive - They return calls promptly. Professional - No BS, just gets to the point and explains why and the work that needs to be done in detail. Clean - It's good to have someone clean up after themselves, but I must say, the work performed was neatly done. I finally found someone that I will be requesting for future projects. I would highly recommend.

My experience with Rafael was really great from start to finish. His wife who does scheduling is a great communicator and gets back to any email requests in a very timely fashion. Rafael and his team showed up on time for the job and worked quickly and efficiently. They gave me some good advice on the optimal height of the chandelier and it came out looking really nice. Rafael is a dependable and hard working guy and I will definitely be using him for other jobs once we begin renovating our house.

High Q staff is extraordinarily responsive and friendly; they really seemed to care about me as a customer. They were on time for the job and I found their team to be detail oriented and efficient - they left the work site clean and tidy. Their work is excellent! I would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future!

It went fairly well. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to make the associations. The only problem was the when they sent me the spreadsheet of the results. I had to cross-reference the circuit breaker numbers with the details on the spreadsheet.

I had them come out and instelectrical panel. Everything was great. They were very clean and thorough. They made sure to clean up after themselves and left plenty of room for us after the project was finished. I checked the panel box myself and they had made sure everything was in it's proper place and there was no loose wiring. Now 11 months later after a test came back failed, the president of the company came out and actually checked the exterior connectors per ConEd (electrical company out here), he showed up and asked when I good time would be for us to shut off power so they could make the repairs. The best part was that they fixed this at no charge to me and handed me a work order proving it was corrected.
